I love the inside joke detail of having Hela as the queen here. In the original 1602 comics Queen Elizabeth I is the ruler and in real life Cate Blanchett has played Elizabeth I in 2 movies, it's the role that made her famous.

While it made for a touching scene between Peggy and Steve, the truth was that everyone from the future would be sent back the moment they returned the Forerunner. I don't know why Peggy acted like she wasn't expecting to lose this Steve in the end.
