Engagement ring question.. girl run. Don't marry him. He's not listening to you now, he never will. It's just the beginning and it's a test. He wants to see if he can control you and override what you want in order to do as he wants. There are better men out there.
I married the guy who plays video games, doesn't care about growth/change, etcetera 🥴.... I have become the mother. Peter Pan and Wendy situation. Get out now before it's too late. We struggle with conflict resolution and communication in general, him following through on things, emotional connection, he's an addict to many things, and much more..... don't do it.

@@omok2 yeah games are not the problem. Games are fun! But it's the lack of self-control with the amount of time spent on them and other things vs time with his wife and kids. Everything in moderation. I would hate for him to look back and realize how much life and meaningful connection he missed out on because he was too busy running from his demons instead of dealing with them. But people only change when they want to so I just keep on keeping on and hope for the best 😊
are you still with him? :( Its never 'too late' to leave... you had hope he would change, don't punish yourself for that.. its ok to have predicted wrong.. but no one should have to be more mature or mother their grown man husband. And it sounds like your certain he's not gonna change.. its ok to outgrow people.. Your kids will be better off seeing you happy and thriving and showing an example of motivation and ambition than being held back, and staying with their dad out of sympathy or misjudged expectations.. plus whos to say leaving might be the wake up call he needs to change? Either way you cant keep feeling resentment its so sad to read! For all of you. You either learn to accept and embrace or move on and up! Ive been to heaps of therapy and can 100% say youd be better off in so many ways by speaking to a professional about these types of feelings. X best of luck 🍀

If you want to do Disney right, visit during the Food and Wine festival, Halloween, Christmas. October-March, only. And definitely, definitely stay at a deluxe resort with easy transportation. I'm a Police Officer in Canada and when I applied for my organization, I had to disclose all of my previous partners and their contact information. I didn't have a choice. So she likely didn't choose him. Recruiters know they're your ex for a reason so they likely won't have anything positive to say. But he should definitely be honest about their relationship because there's a difference between a bad breakup and domestic violence.

Just want to say to Jon that there are women out there who like dad bods 🙋🏻♀️ I also agree with Alex, it’s more about a man’s personality than looks which makes them attractive.
It's been scientifically proven that men care more about visual attraction than women. Women, generally speaking, care more about personality. But yes, there are MANY women across the globe who love a "dad bod" - look at Shaycarl, CinnamonToastKen, Kevin James, Adam Sandler, etc. I also tend to prefer men (and women) with more meat on their bones, because those personality types tend to be a lot easier to just be around.
Born and raised Floridian and can say all coffee shops and coffee sucks so bad here. Anyone that’s ever left the state agrees with that statement. Literally my favorite part of traveling is getting good coffee for a little bit 😂😂
I might have to disagree with John on this one just because I really believe that when people say, "Look at what men have to deal with in this and that, and what they’re struggling with," you have to consider who set up those standards originally. It's men. Men can't show emotional vulnerability because other men see that as weak, and if you're not looking stronger, you're not considered powerful in the relationship. Whereas, for women, beauty standards were created to be skinny and all-natural because that's what men like. I think there's a significant difference between men and women's standards and who faces more pressure.

When my husband and I were in the stages of before our engagement we went to several jewelers and he made sure to know my ring size and he wanted me to pick exactly what I wanted. It was between 3 different rings and he did great. We also decided to not go for a real center stone because I didn’t want him to spend a ton of money. He said when we do our vow renewal in 5 years i should completely design the ring to my liking. Even then I would stick with a lab grown. It shouldn’t really matter if the guy likes the ring 😂
Speaking from experience, you never will stop thinking about that. You try to forgive your partner or justify it to yourself but it will forever be a cause for insecurities and you’ll never really forget it

For the cop story. I think its very important for OP to be honest about the abuse he faced with his ex. A Police Officer is a person of authority who will have access to a gun, and it is in the interest of the public for this information to be released to the interviewers. There is a recent case where a cop was responsible for the passing of a 16 year old girl. Turns out he had a stalking and violent history and they still let him become a cop. Things like this can be prevented by simply speaking out. We don't need any more cops with abusive history.
As someone who lives in Miami, FL the coffee is actually really good and at any gas station they have that fire cafe con leche. More North Florida, I can agree it’s not good lol

We went to Disneyland for Christmas with an almost 2 year old and an 8 month old. Minor meltdown while on the nemo wait line but overall was a really fun experience seeing them so happy. We went with no expectations, just a day out and just had a really good time. Will definitely go again for Halloween with a almost 3 and 2 year old 🫣
4:37 We just took our 3 and 6 yo around Christmas since their bdays fall within that time. it was great weather, not too hot. They were so excited with everything around them thats the line wait wasn’t bad. It also wasnt overly crowded. Nap times did get rough but redirection was the key😂. As far as cost, we did a payment plan a year ahead with park tickets and hotel stay bundled. Seriously reconsider, memories were well worth it!

I just took my 14 month old and I was overstimulated the moment I got on the tram lol. Thankfully my daughter enjoyed herself, she walked around, socialized lol.
I also took her at 6 months and that was so much easier since I could carry her in those carriers and she still enjoyed the rides then.
I would say 6months is perfect cause they’re still attached to you and old enough to ride the kid rides.
Regardless of how tiring and overwhelming it was, I’d do it again 😭🫶🏼

Here’s my take… it’s totally worth it to go with little kids. It was such a magical trip that our girls still talk about. The magic of Disney is REAL for that age.
The kids are going to melt down regardless. If you were at home they’d have a meltdown over you giving them a pink cup instead of the yellow cup so might as well go to Disney 😂
We had little to no expectations and didn’t really push too hard. We brought a grandparent and split between our big and little kids so the older one could ride rides. But for the littles we’d go to the parks in the morning for a few hours, go back to the hotel for a nap and to relax. We mostly only did lightning lanes for anything other than shows/parades, which the kids loved and made for a good break.
It was 1 million percent worth it for us! You can’t go expecting to do all the attractions, but taking the pressure off and just enjoying the moment was so much fun!

The belly touching thing- I think it depends on the person some people are more sensitive than others in that regard.
Have been with young kids to other places and I know going to Disney would be a struggle. My 6,4, and 2 year old they would enjoy parts but the lines would be the death of us parents as my oldest has ADHD and down time is a killer.
Zoo is fun with them though since no lines and not hashing to force them to sit.
But my kids do like carnival rides lol.

The law enforcement background process is EXTENSIVE. They are required to list all previous ex’s for a reference. Especially if they lived together. Not everyone that applies for law enforcement is qualified.For many reasons, most are disqualified during the background check.

I don't understand why it'd such a problem to not have plus ones for everyone or let someone go to a wedding without you. Its ONE party/day. If you're not particularly close to the couple then why does it matter. If your partner is super close to them then they can decide to go or not. I don't understand why it's such a problem. No. Disneyland is not as much fun with kids. It’s work and they can’t hang in the lines for 30+ minutes. It’s very difficult. And for anyone who says differently either has super good kids or is lying.
To the weight gain question, everyone’s weight goes up and down throughout the years specially in marriage. The way i would’ve gone about is ask my husband how he is doing mentally, theres always a reason WHY someone is not motivated to help themselves maybe they dont know how and you as their spouse should be there to support them and encourage them to be a better version of themselves and together you can do that. The comment saying “im not attracted to you anymore” maybe got the guy in a deeper hole maybe hes depressed or going through a life crisis, it happens to me when i gain weight i don’t realize it until i dont feel comfortable in my own skin and ask my husband to help me be accountable its all COMMUNICATION lol

I was trying to be a 911 phone operator and you have to fill out the same application the officers have to fill out, and you have to list everyone you lived with and worked for in the last 10 years. If she lived with him 4 years ago, she HAS to list him. I don’t think she just thought he’d be an amazing character reference for her.

I took my kids to Florida when they were 6 and 7. Even that age group, they hated it. They did not enjoy Disney at all. It was too hot and the walks and wait was too long. I agree with you on waiting until your son is 25 to take them 😂 my husband and I agree that we are going to wait until the kids are teenagers or even young adults to go back and revisit Disney.

Everybody is drawn to touch a pregnant belly it’s just in us. It can be weird sometimes but I think people are so happy to see the pregnant belly and it’s so cute that they just wanna touch it lol I would have older women come up and give my belly a patand asked me how far along I was with all of my kids. Sometimes would be aggravating if I was trying to hurry, but I never got mad.
No, parents at Disney are not having fun. I fell into that trap one year…. Never again
