This is a classic! Up to this point, I was unable to identify my own cross; I thought it was coming from other people imposed on me!
I have to listen to this talk again and again to understand and be humble enough to know and accept myself and gradually purify my heart.
Thank you, Bishop Homeming, for listening to the inspirations of the Holy Spirit in your talk 🙏

Thanks for posting. This man has great insight on how we are to live. The Cross as a gift has been the most difficult thing in life.

Only understanding the pain and sacrifice of the Cross, helps people understand their pain and the brokenness in this hellish modern life. Only in understanding and living with pain of the Cross, can the young people ever hope to cope with difficulties with the lack of stable employment, the degenerate and violent suburbs, the broken home life and the Godlessness of our society. We NEED Priests telling people this, to help them cope with this awful modern existence here on earth.

Only through the pain of the Cross can people, and especially the young see why they must endure disappointment, pain and the evils of life. Only the pain of the Cross explains life's horrors, and shows us that even God has had to endure what we've do now in these hell-hole overcrowded cities. Only that helps the young cope with joblessness, violence and broken families. That's what the young are looking for. That's what the young need to hear , and they don't get it any more! Instead of the Cross and hearing the struggle and sacrificial demands of life, they turn to drugs and escapism.

Alas Vat II priests, with their "love, love, love" don't answer the increasing pain and suffering of modern life. The love cult, does not help the young and old cope with lack of employment, the violence, the evil and the broken families. The Church of "love" has no answer to why life's a bastard, and then you die! . It does not explain or help people cope with the increasing difficulties of the modern world. Only by focusing on the Cross can people see the work of Satan that's now swamping the modern world. Only the Cross shows people how to cope, by following Christ ON THAT CROSS, right to the END. Following and living on His sacrifice, His endurance and giving ourselves, when in our deepest difficulties, totally to God.

Quoting from the Fr Homeming: "The Cross is a dead end, and we're only mouthing flippancy to speak of the Cross as being something salvific." Bishop Homeming, the Cross is the sign of sacrifice / salvation. It's the sign of pain, reform and eventual holiness, that leads to Gof. The Cross shows the pains that we all must face and endure in our stressful, modern urban world. The Cross is what Isaiah pointed towards in his writings on the suffering servant - that through the Cross we are saved! t. Yet that message is no longer heard... and that's the message that the young urgently NEED NOW! The Cross defeats EVIL and saves souls and lives here and now on earth. The Cross gives hope to the young, instead of leaving them to turn to drugs for relief and escape.
And wow be the Vat II priests, with their "love, love, love", who've created this new church without Calvary, without sacrifice, pain and without the Cross..In so doing they've emptied the Church of young people. This initial "fluff" from Fr Homeming exemplifies that - and it fails those lost young people who've lost hope, and who live a bastard-like life.

You have to watch the whole thing. Bishop Homeming argues that it is not enough just to talk about the Cross in the abstract but that it must be lived, and that we meet Christ by bearing the Cross of our own weakness throughout our journey with God.

You have to read it again; pause, identify & consider your own cross!
