My number one tip: visit on a weekday in the spring or fall. No crowds, heat or freezing temps. Also, Astra Lumina is totally worth your time and money.
@@SmokyMountainFamilywhat's the best time to book Astra in your opinion (8:30, 9:00, etc)? And how many hours earlier than that should we get there to get up on the property and have plenty of time to explore before our showtime?
My Favorite Thing To Do In Gatlinburg Is The Mysterious Mansion. The Scariest Haunted House In America In My Opinion. But I Also Love Shopping and Eating as Well, My Favorite Places To Shop in Gatlinburg Are The Village and Mountain Mall and My Favorite Places To Eat Are Log Cabin Pancake House and Luigi’s Pizza. I Live In Chattanooga Tennessee And I Feel Like Gatlinburg Is A Second Home Because My Family Comes Up Here a Lot.
Thanks Eric for the video. We no longer visit Gatlinburg, it’s just too busy and the costs are getting too high, anikeesta experience for 2 is $100, skylift for 2 is $80, just to name a few. But we really enjoy watching your videos.
You guys nailed this video and hit it out of the park, because all these places you listed are amazing. You guys give so much content to those who are thinking about visiting the area, and you show them where to go and what to do. I know if I couldn't make up my mind where to vacation next, by watching your videos I would be like yeah we are heading to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge TN. The times we have been here to visit the kids had so much fun, and didn't want to leave especially when we went to Ripley's Aquarium. The only thing we haven't done yet was Anakeesta but we will be doing it this year when the kids are done with school in June.
You named four of my favorite things to do when there. The aquarium, the village. Walking the strip and if course a must do every trip is Anakeesta. Anakeesta is my favorite thing to do. There is always so much to do, the views and just the general atmosphere of it. As always another great video.
Great list! We always drive the Historic Motor Nature Trail, always drive up to Ober and ride the lifts up to the top, always do the Arts & Crafts loop. We enjoy the Skybridge and Anakeesta, as well and the Space Needle. I know I've driven on 95% of the surfaced roads in the whole area. I've been a steady tourist since 1979, usually 2-3 times per year. It never gets old, there's always something new or something gone. Going back in May unless something unforeseen happens... Thanks for sharing! On a side note, I wish I had filmed our early trips! I'd have enough videos for my own channel!
Great video!! I think you nailed 7 of the primary things we do. We have not been to the city park or the magic show. We will have to try both - especially the magic show.
Anakeesta is on the list next visit. I wish Skylift was handicap friendly. All in all, the best thing to do in Gatlinburg is, be there(yes Eric, asap, lol) Thanks.
Eric, I wish I'd win the lottery so I could come but, I'll never be one who wins because, I have no chance! Really enjoyed your video. Thank you for taking me along with you all on your videos! Really enjoyed your video.
Great call on Arcadia. The kids love it there. Astra Lumina is on our to do list and it puts a lot of weight behind it that it’s your personal favorite. We hope to do it this year!! Great list from a local perspective !
Always enjoy everything that you post! I never been to Gatlinburg but it’s on my bucket list. The things I would love to see is everything on top of the mountain attractions but I have a serious fear of heights. As a child, my family took us to Maggie Valley and it literally took three tries to ride the incline to Ghost Town in the Sky! Enjoy the Good Life SMF!❤
Always love your videos. We are planning on taking a vegetarian granddaughter to the smokies and I'm concerned about what she can eat at restaurants. Can you recommend places or foods she can eat at popular restaurants? Is this video worthy ?
Wonderful!!!! Haven’t been since just after the fire ….heading there tomorrow and after seeing this……cannot wait! Childhood memories galore--thank You sooo much!
We have a bunch of content coming soon from the arts and crafts district! We’ve always tried to get in as many as possible. These shops and artisans are the heart of Gatlinburg.
@@SmokyMountainFamily for decades we have been vacationing in the A and C district when we come to the area. We take a good half day to just knock about the shops and always pick up new things. I always say to save some of your spending money for a visit here. Arts and crafts is a hard gig, and the money goes directly to the artist’s business. Bonus!
Bruh it is amazing. Before we moved here we visited 6-7 times a year. You'll love it. For your first time try a weekday stay. Less crowds. Thanks for watching!
Sky Fly Soar America is an awesome ride at the Island. The Cades Cove loop is a great way to spend about 3 hours. The trek to Newfound Gap and over to Clingmans Dome is a great time. Then you can continue your trip to Cherokee NC. The Old Mill, the Pottery House, and Big Daddy's Pizza are great places to eat. You can play mini golf at many places. Many great places to stay and shop. Finally, Dolly Parton's Stampede was an awesome show with awesome food and service. God bless.
Hey J Mo thanks for watching! We will have a lot of the spots you mentioned when we do the same type of content on Pigeon Forge and the National Park. Thanks again!
I don't ever comment on videos, but I want to stay I love your videos of gatlinburg and pigeon forge.I use them to plan my trips over. Thank you and keep them coming
When my kids were small, they took a picture by the fountain at The Village. As we have been back throughout the years, we have recreated that picture, sometimes Photoshoping missing members in, making for great memories

Astra Lumina is by far my favorite thing to do here right now.
