Thanks for mentioning that you will compare the RSL 62 with the 37, the latter of which you previously gave a gleaming review! It will help those of us that can't decide between the two depths in terms of the age old question of light vs fast vs stability.
Andrew, this was only a short-term review so I didn't get the chance to ride them in a wide range of conditions (and it was a while ago, so it's not fresh in my mind)... still, I will say that the obvious applies in regards to your question: the 51 option will handle crosswinds better quite simply because there isn't so much wheel that can catch the wind. I'm not the heaviest of riders (nor am I the lightest) but I do tend to get blown around quite a bit. The time I spent with the Bontrager 62 didn't have any nasty surprises but it's all relative. And it's difficult to judge the differences from one wheel set to the next as there is no way that the conditions can be the same... I'm sorry I can't be more direct with an appraisal other than to say that, if it were my choice - and my money - I'd go with the 51 over the 62. - Rob
Alex, understand that question but things are evolving quite quickly. The packaging is in accordance with the approval at the time that the tyres were originally released. Alas, it was a (very) short-term review window, hindered by a lockdown in Sydney. I had the wheels for only a matter of days and wasn't able to ride them more than I did. Furthermore, I'm not even sure if they are in Australia yet. (The timeline for delivery was extended because of the pandemic.) If / when I get another chance to ride them, I'll be sure to include them in a broader review of wheels that I'm planning to do. - Rob
Stewart, yep... I swapped them over about a year ago. Can't believe I persisted with the R.A.T system as long as I did; it's perfectly functional but overkill - largely unnecessary. There was one time I've seen when it was useful but that was not on my bike, rather that of a lady who was stranded once on a ride... and I didn't have a 5mm for the Robert Axle option, so it was good to have the quick-release... but it's ugly and my bike is much sleeker with the Robert Axle Technology set-up.
@@ride-media Exactly as I see it. Great idea, not very robustly executed, and not exactly pretty. Might have been a different story if other brands adopted it and progressed it, but not to be.
This was one of the most painful reviews I’ve ever watched. This seems to be more of a tire review than a wheel review with no real helpful info on the wheels themselves

So what would you say comparing the Aeolus 37 vs 61 now that you have ridden both? What would you pick and why?
How are those wheels on crosswinds? I'm thinking of getting this on my new Madone in a couple weeks. I'm deciding if I go with 51 or 62

@@UA-camAnthony i went with 62’s cause i finally saw a madone with it in town my bike will be here 25 to 50 days cant wait
@@andrewa.3304 amazing! Great to hear.
The reviews don't actually go anywhere
Did you go with the 28mm or 32mm?
Hi, I got the 303s and looking at gripper tyres. Are the Centerollo Pirrelli compatible ? It says Not for hookless on the bed

Are the hubs quite or loud
How was the climbing with those wheels?
can we get a part 4? any update on these?

How is it compared to wto 60?
WTO 60 is worse in crosswinds by a considerable margin, less than 0.5 watts slower and old hubs, my pick is 100 percent the RSL 62
How do you like them now?
Alas, it was only a very short review. Had about three rides in total... but the memories of them are good. Great wheels.

Bontrager is really good compared to the big guys, although the price is not cheap
Great video I love the ride feel, speed of deeper wheelsets. I have Industry Nine i65 wheelset and the speed and ride feel are amazing.
How are deeper wheels with climbing?
@@dereknelson2756 great the wheelset is under 1600 grams
Rob, have you done a Robert Axle conversion on the bike? Did you cover this at the time? I've just done it with mine after 3+ years with the RATs.

Where the tires R3 or R5. You kept saying R5.
R3 - as you can see in the pictures. (Sorry about saying the wrong number, on a ride I don't always have my notes with me.)
Too much gibberish talk. NOT ENOUGH product details pertaining to the WHEELS! Remake and DISCUSS the WHEELS ONLY. LEAVE THE GIBBERISH OUT!
Too much all-caps aggression.
I’ll just suggest to click “stop” (and quit shouting at me, then I might listen).
Honestly. Did you pay for anything?
