    Awesome job;this was music the way it should be done;not that computer CRAP!!nothing to me is more beautiful music than steel guitar music.we need young people to learn to play it so it won't be a dying art form.Thank You for bringing back memories of real music and for keeping it alive.

      Thank you all so much! In in last years I have not played the steel guitars very often but they are still with me. And still love them.     my cousin was a top level pedal steel guy from east Tennessee who I got to know as an adult. He was quite a guy with some good stories about Jimmy Dickens and Marty Robbins. Pedal steel is not for most guys... a real art

    Great sound and playing. Is that a non-pedal guitar? You have E9 and C6 tunings, but how’s the third neck tuned?

    This is done without use of pedals. No pedals available on a Fender Custom. This kind of guitar was used by Santo and Johnny. Thanks.

    My brother loved this song. He named his car Sleepwalk, back in the day when you'd paint the name of your car on the back fenders.
    This takes me way back to some sweet memories of my brother Eddie...rest in peace 💕

      @@migueberg43 - I thank you for your kind words. I have an extensive record collection, and enjoy playing them and listening to the music of my parents youth and of my youth. I have this song (the original by Santo and Johnny) in the stack, most of which are cataloged and arranged by the year that they came out.

    I always associate this song as the last one played at the Labor Day, end of summer dance. This is back in the 1960s and early 70s.

    Thanks for the comment, Mr Gert. Old Fender steel guitar are also very special to me. Meanwhile I was able to collect some of those great pieces of steel guitar history. Sleepwalk was originally played on a Fender Custom T8, so the choice was easy for me.

    Hey! My band mate recently acquired one of these from his late uncle! I tuned it up as best I could but have pretty limited knowledge. I want to bring this beauty back to life but I have no idea what strings to buy and what tuning it's in, but it looks identical to this but it's wood instead of the cream finish. Any help finding strings or telling me what the tunings would be etc would be amazing!

    Beautiful! haven't heard that song in a long time. Beautifully played. I could watch this video over and over. I'm currently having a lap steel built for me because I've been really getting into country music lately and recording some country songs, so I'm really looking forward to learning how to play this beautiful instrument.
