I’m still happy John decided against the writers’ idea of Jim actually cheating. That would’ve been a major mistake.
This scene was way more entertaining too.
Absolutely. He loves Pam and is too much of a decent person.
Now, if only Ed Helms decided against the writers’ idea of Andy boating for three months and then becoming Satan in season 9. It was a huge mistake.
His scenes were not entertaining in the slightest in season 9.
SEASON 8 ANDY WAS GREAT!
@@Colinkrauss1 he was too busy filming The Hangover
@@KalebC4 well that, was a mistake.
@@Colinkrauss1 I don’t disagree but that’s the sad reality of it
I super hate kathy. The part when jim says hes married she denies trying to sleep with him, but that's EXACTLY what shes trying to do and makes him feel bad for assuming. Its so scummy
Edit: I know it's just a show, and I don't hate the actress, just the character
I was really annoyed with Jim, when she was getting all defensive, he didn't just say to her "...then why do you not get that it is totally INAPPROPRIATE for you to be here in my room, especially wearing nothing but a robe after having just taken a shower? Do you think Pam would be OK with you being here?? You need to LEAVE!!".
@@hedgehog1965ukjim is bad under awkward and bad situations
Yeah, I gotta say that if the roles were reversed, this scene would be very different.
When I watch that episode, I have murder in my heart. I hate Kathy so much. And Jim isn't much better. There are some situations where rudeness is warranted. This was definitely one of them!
Why did they have to remind us that Kathy exists?
Jim saying "So Smug" and marching around is quite possible my favorite 5 seconds of the show.
Yes! I giggle every single time!
LIKE HE THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY LIKE THIS 😤😤
❤️
My absolute favourite 5 seconds of the whole series is when Jim tells Pam that he's in love with her, season 2 finale casino night. My god, I've never felt that many intense feelings in my life, Jhon Krasinkis delivery was just absolutely marvelous.
So the documentary crew was fully informed about Dwight's plan to steal the diaper and arranged everything with him to get coverage of the whole incident.
"The Office but the Camera Gets Progressively More Impossible, Invasive & Impractical."
They were also ready to film Jim plowing Kathy if they went down that route.
@@Canadianvoice Wouldn`t be the first intercourse/intimate moment they wanted to catch on camera
Maybe even they were the ones to give him the wrong diaper 😮
Oh so what it was one of the greatest shows ever....
So basically we must accept the head canon that the production team had Truman Show level of resources and had hidden cameras in every corner of Scranton, New York, and anywhere else the cast might have haphazardly mentioned

To Costa Rica and back
If Kathy cuddled up to me and said she was cold, I would've told her to go back to her sweltering room.
Jim should have told her to go dry her hair 😂
Since I'm not in a relationship I'd be 100% down lol. It'd be pretty much impossible to know what kind of person she really was.
@@PaddyRoon7 Well, we at least know she's the type to attempt home wrecking. So I'd say that's more than enough to know it's better not to get involved with her. Not in a relationship either but I know a red flag when I see one

Jim hates socializing so much that he'd rather stay in his room avoiding Kathy than just hanging at the bar with Dwight
Jim is pretty introverted I think. It doesn't get pointed out often.
hes the most extroverted guy ever lmao

She would have come with him or waited for him in his room.
no, he just dont want to "offend" cathy and has no balls to actually reject her. Dude's married with 2 kids and he is in a hotel room with a female coworker, doors closed, in bed with her and the girl is pretty much naked. completely innapropriate

As much as I like Michael’s exit from the show with Holly, Michael just getting on a bus with a youth mission trip would have been the most Michael way to leave the show lol
Of all of them the most impossible is Michael entering the bus because it's on the spur of the moment. They'd have to tell Michael to get off, wait to set up the equipment, then redo his entrance.
i mean. The car chase is too. They would need multiple cameras + knowing the exact route.
@@moussesucree Dwight had Operation Phoenix ready. It's far fetched but he could have told the camera operators about it in advance.
I mean, were the cameramen going on the missionary as well? I guess they don't have family to worry about and PBS is fine with 2 of their employees just disappearing for a few months. Unless they just knew Michael wouldn't go through it. And one last thing, did the bus just take off with one of the cameramen? I guess he just livea on the bus now.
5:09 The way Dwight says “and we have to establish a pee corner” kills me😂 like it was common practice and Pam was dumb for not knowing that
Wearing ear buds and turning the volume as loud as it goes it sounds like someone urinating on the floor. 🤣
This has become such a running joke with my cousins and I any time we are in any sort of minor “inconvenience” (like the power going off during a storm or stuck in traffic). Someone also says something along the lines of, “ok, but where’re we gonna establish the pee corner?” I sometimes forget it’s originally from The Office 😂
imagine the smell. poor pam
It’s just basic survival skills
Careful Jim, it gets easier and easier. Stanley knows what he is talking about.
someone find this guy's wife omg
You mean 3rd wife, lmao. @@marci2735
@@marci2735agreed!
I I actually am not sure what he means by that? What gets easier? For Jim to cheat?
@@ioncekilledamanwithmyshoe
Yes. (Spoiler alert) Stanley is revealed to be cheating on his wife. He is warning Jim that it gets easier to cheat as you get older. A) because Jim is maturing and entering into his "corporate" era of opening his own business and buying a house for him and his wife, and B) because this lil harpie showed up and has been actively trying to get with Jim, becoming the first "younger woman" to tempt him.
They were always VERY loose with the documentary camera placements even from the beginning. I remember watching it back when it first ran and thinking.... shouldn't we be seeing other cameras when the camera changes in the middle of a scene to the opposite angle.
Maybe... but maybe they filmed and edited like a TLC "reality" show.
yep. ESPECIALLY the dinner party episode, where you get a conversation filmed from almost every angle around the table, and no camera in sight. honestly, I don't think it would have pulled the audience out of the fiction to just show the cameras, on the contrary, it would have added some authenticity and made the show more immersive, imo
Did Kathy really think she get Jim to cheat on his wife with her with a camera crew inside the room with them?
They're not inside, you can see the window frame in their POV cam.
@redacted2275 the camera person follows Dwight inside the hotel room.
@@redacted2275they are actors 😅 i cant…
@@jposensei They also leave when Dwight leaves
LMAO
My head canon is that sometimes The Office is just a regular sitcom instead of a documentary.
😂😂😂😂
That’s how I feel about modern family
Seasons 7-9 it was a sitcom. It was a slow shift from realistic mockumentary to a literal sitcom
Props to the camera crew for having a specialized waterproof camera ready during the pool party for a single underwater shot
Pro Tip: Call Kevin for any electronic service needs on your circus board
Step 1: Mess everything up;
Step 2: Everybody is going to get to know each other in the pot.
@@redacted2275It's probably the thing he do best
@@redacted2275you mean the pee corner?
This seemed like a massive plot hole to me that in season 9, Pam is so upset at Brian that they’ve had zero privacy for nine years. And she says it like she had no clue they’d be getting private footage. Like seriously? They’ve been literally everywhere you’ve been except for your honeymoon for a whole decade.
also, everyone obviously had to have signed papers giving the camera crew permission to film them in these situations
@@beigefedora9716 that’s true. Seemed like a quick and easy way to sideline Brian that wouldn’t use a lot of screen time. Which begs the question, who thought adding a crew member as a character was a good idea… ?
well, you can _sort of_ explain that with the fact that the cameras are often hidden or far away, but what I find to be the most incoherent is how short-lived everyone's indignation is when they all find out how intrusive the cameras really were. It gets adressed in one, maybe two episodes, and then it's like everyone forgot about it/is okay with it. also, how on earth is that legal ? you can't publish a documentary made by filming people without their consent ??
@@AliciaB. yeah that’s a good point. Lots of undeveloped or underdeveloped plots. Pete and Erin, while they may have been a good fit, just disappears. Pete and Clark sort of get sidelined. Dwight and Clark. Andy on the boat. The Farm as a potential spin off. Camera crew as an actual character, not just “Pam look, Dwight’s eating a baby Ruth”. And there’s probly like ten more. I usually watch through season 8 and skip 9 entirely. 8 has really grown on me.
@@AliciaB. my only counter to that sort-of explanation is, the normal, coalition for reason characters like Jim and Pam would never forget that the camera crew in Fun Run waited somewhere far from the office to set up a film crew to tape Jim getting in Pam’s car and kiss, and then showed them that footage the next day in the conference room. Normal people would have that in the back of their mind for the rest of however long filming goes.
i never realized til now that the camera people always stay out of each others shots
On very rare occasions, you can see the other camera people. In "The Fire" (Ryan Started the Fire) there is a scene where you can briefly see another camera person although I can't remember the exact scene.
And in the episode where Michael hops on a train to escape the debt Jan spent him into, you can see another camera person on the train for a moment when Jan is talking to Michael.
@@QuincysRcool Yes, and at some point they said that they do catch these in editing usually but leaving them in is more immersive in the whole documentary premise.
That's one of the reasons why I love Trailer Park Boys, it was much more realistic on how it handled cameras/equipment being seen.
The fact this video *starts* with a shot of Jim through his hotel room window.
What about it? That's not the first time the crew does that... they did it all the time in the warehouse, they did with Oscar and the senator, when Jim and Pam were secretly meeting each other at the beginning of their relationship... it's mild intrusion in the context of the show.

Did the cooks not see them recording Ryan and Erin? Was there a camera man in the pool the entire time? How good are these guys at their job. Apart of me wonders what there profession was prior to shooting this documentary😬😂
Mentalists. We now know the TRUE purpose of the documentary was to show how the mentalists could influence and predict the participants' moves throughout the experiment.
@@Catherinzsldo an entire spinoff about the camera crew lol
The way he crawls back to the pool to try and win again
Why did Dwight become that way anyway? What caused it? I don’t think I ever understood that lol
The fact that the car drving into the lake was the most realistically filmed scenes is really amusing to me
I love this video, a lot of these angles I never really even thought about😂
10:52 I dunno Ryan, I think the lights are still on because the doc crew had two camera operators waiting in the kitchen all night in case any Dunder Mifflin employees wandered back there.
I love that Angela got to hit Mike Shur when he got out of the car 😂 not everyone gets to slap one of their show’s creator/writers in the face on camera
The more you think about it you realise how it makes zero sense how the ‘documentary crew’ would have filmed/ recorded so much stuff
Dwight calling Erin a hick is in itself pretty funny.
What was Jim thinking calling Stanley for support and intervention? The man is an office famous two-timer!
3:35 yup this is why they should do interview after the event of everything
the part where the cameraperson scoots out the door behind dwight and jim is still yelling for him had me rolling for some reason🤣🤣
My parents doubted me until I pointed out it's weird they have underwater camera in the office
What do you mean they doubted you? What did they doubt you about?
“SIX MONTHS? I’m in love with Kelly” Ryan is ruthless😭
Stanley stay pimpin 😂
one of the directors i think said “we had a time where we focused too much on the documentary logistics that we forgot we were making a sitcom for tv audience” + they thought that interactions or interference with the crew would be distracting and we wouldn’t get attached to the story/characters. makes sense tbh if you’re not obsessed with realism or technicality, we want to see the stories unfold, how would that happen if we couldn’t see jim’s room? they had to show it somehow so they ignored some stuff. but obviously there is carelessness too, like underwater or elevator shots were quite unnecessary
I started watching The Office since it premiered and countless other times, but what I disliked the most was ‘Pam’s Replacement’ clearly trying to seduce Jim and denying it. I enjoyed the way Jim ended it by ‘enlisting Dwight’
Hands down the funniest tv show, everything about it i love. I mustve re watch the show like 3 or more times by now
The comedy packed in the camera work alone is enough to give this show a rewatch.
so we just all collectively hate Kathy right ? have to respect Kransinski for shutting down the idea the producers had that Jim would cheat , would've absolutely ruined the masterpiece they had built over the seasons .
Now I'm wondering why we haven't seen footage from inside the koi pond... _yet._
If you look at the deleted scenes from the episode you can find the security footage of Michael falling in
@@Dominic4053No, we want the koi cam POV. 🥽
@@Dominic4053 I mean footage from _within_ the koi pond - like the underwater shots at 13:11 in this compilation.
@Catherinzsl oh I didn’t realize what you meant, yes we should’ve got that footage, lol
Dwight for the win 😂😂
I just headcanon that the camera crew is ready for ANY possible outcome to a situation.
Instantly, shoes on the bed!!
these cameramans need a raise.
Kudos to all those guys that, like me, haven't ever really been in a similar situation and forced their laugh through that episode
One thing that confuses me is when they’re supposed to be wearing a mic vs not because there’s times they don’t know they’re being filmed and(therefore shouldn’t be wearing mics) but the audio is still clear, yet when Michael leaves and takes of his mic pack we can no longer hear him
Yeah - oddly enough - not being able to hear Michael in that scene was almost enough for me to stop watching the show entirely (but we all know I didn't) although seriously "Come on! At least zoom in more so we can hear!" (is what I thought when it went quiet lmao)
9:25 that random flash of andy is super funny to me
9:55 the camera crew obviously followed them down to the warehouse and caught them on camera leaving, just didn't air the actual deed.
9:24 Andy's face for just a second cracks me up
cameraman, the peak of all possibilities.
I’d like a compilation vid of them with funny facial expressions and swearing beeps. Andy has a few faces. Creeds face when the ceiling collapses. Creed swearing when Erin does a cartwheel.
Kathy is the type to accuse Jim of 'something' whether he slept with her or not. Never be alone with a crazy chick!
Dwight calling Jim a chorus girl instead of a choir boy!
"Is this March Madness? I love March Madness!" - "Oh no, that's not this. That's in....... Marrr-ch." 😂
try not to invasive challenge: impossible
In the lift prank episode it was hilarious of Kevin to say Circus board instead kf Circuit board
The Office youtube channel but each video gets crazier and zanier. Loving it keep it up
The cameras never made any sense, sometimes there are 3 or 4 cuts to different angles just in one small room. No corporation would ever allow a film crew to film their day to day business every day for years and years. The premise itself is ludicrous. But the show is great.
