You do the best chess videos, Mato. They're short and sweet. Too many analysts want to go too far into too many variations. It becomes impossible to follow what actually happened in the game. I think it's usually enough to show why one or two obvious moves were NOT taken, which can usually be done without going in too deep.
your way in making videos and your comments in every move and your way in making tests for viewers in every video and asking them to pause and try to solve the the puzzle .... simlpy amazing mato keep it up ... hi from egypt
If nxd5 then nxf7, Kxn then Qf3+ and that is called the fried liver with the black king moving into the center of the board and coming under a brutal attack in exchange for a knight.
Wait, at the end, when Fisher moves the Bishop to e5 and Bisguier responds with ...Re8, instead of that, what's wrong with ... Ne3 forking the rook and queen?
Mato, you should to try keep the volume of your voice uniform throughout your videos; many are lower than others, and then the volume has to be adjusted.
Mickyle Jeob Mangada probably because White would have a Queen capture/great attack with Rg1 else? (im not an advanced player at all so i might have missed something)
minute 3:12 better continuation for black it was Ne2 attacking the bishop and if moves then Nf4 capturing pawn ...and after bishop take's N pawn take bishop rook takes pawn , black can play rook to E2 threatening check mate...
After such a brilliant position of Black Night on D4, why did he retrieve back when threatened by C3?? Rather than retrieving NF5, Black should have played NC2 and could have got one rook surely... Was playing C3 was Bobby's mistake ?? Please explain Mato..
Isn't it a rule that you can't castle after your king has been put in check? If so, black shouldn't have been able to castle at 1:26 EDIT: looked up the rule. Nevermind
+Broman No he can still castle but there should be another rule , that no one can castle AGAINST ME simply because I am just too awesome so I should have certain advantages when I am playing. But cheaters always castle against me damn cheaters damn cheaters everywhere man. EDIT : I forgot to say... DAMN CHEATERS MAN !!!!! ARGH !
You can castle after your king has been put in check. However, you cannot castle if you have moved your king from its initial position from e1 or e8, or if you have moved the rook that you are going to castle with.
Its called en passant, its a legal move. If a pawn moves through with jumping toward two square from the starting line while there's a square in the secound line aimed by an enemy pawn, the enemy can simply capture it and go to his/her enemy's third rank.
1.Paul Morphy 2.Ignaz Kolisch 3.Zukertort 4.Lasker 5.Capablanca 7.Alekhine 8.Leonid Stein 9.Chigorin 10.Akiba Rubinstein. Both Rubinstein nd Chigorin learn to play chess at age 18 years old. They play an amazing chess if they have learn to play at age 4 years old like Capablanca. Then no one could have stopped Akiba Rubinstei or Chigorin.Chigorin made a 10 moves mating attack against Alapin.Today players 2725 elo rating can not see 6 moves ahead
Doubled pawns are fundamentally weak usually poisoned& slow movement but you should consider each position beyond theory. Fischer invited his N to be captured to open the g file.
Mato, I think you didn't see that black also had a good move. At 4.15, when you say that the black Night is pinned, you are actually forgetting that black has Ng3 +?! , giving check to the white king. He will be captured but at least black would gain a tempo and manage to move his queen away from the dangerous spot.
Fischer plays brilliant chess but there is something in Tal's play which Fischer is lacking although may be Fischer is even brighter in chess. This something makes play of Tal win him even over chess prodigy.
tal's style was the extremely aggressive to the point of weaking/opening up himself. tal loved difficult/tactical wild positions. fischer preferred to simply whip your butt with as little risk to himself as possible...or just simply whip your butt.
you're not really spending anytime showing the variations. way too quickly analyzing this game and I am an expert chess player, so instructional wise not much of value.
The chess era from 1962 to 1972 was the weakest in chess history.Fischer was a genius!.But ha played against the blunder makers like Taimanov Larsen Gligoric Hort Benkö D.Byrne and so on.The computers solved all Fischer famous moves under second thinking time.Against Larsen rook e5! Gligoric Rook f6! Benkö rook f6! D.Byrne bishop e6!! the only move the computer thinks a little bit is against Minic knight e5!!!!! Fischer was a genius!!!! But he faced the weakest chess players in the history

yep.
your way in making videos and your comments in every move and your way in making tests for viewers in every video and asking them to pause and try to solve the the puzzle .... simlpy amazing mato keep it up ... hi from egypt
You are amazing Mato, your comments are entertaining and instructive. Thank you for your videos.
Thank you for your comment
Quite a gem. Thank you for the video. Enjoyed it very much.
Love ur games
Straight to the point..and solid explanation
👌👌
Thanks for posting. I enjoyed it. Take Care, Buddy.
Love all your videos from Bangladesh
mato ... thank u.. i hit like button before watching ur videos
I tend to do that as well.
Sorry about it. I have a different (third) mic now
Excellent video as always...bravo.
Thank you
What a game. very good explaination!
What do you think?
"Sleeping bishop" haha I love it. Great videos!
at minute 4, it is actually Fischer's turn... so he gets to respond to the e8 rook move first before what you have listed can actually happen.
what about bishop to g4 at 1:46?
Does anyone smell fried liver?
fried liver atak suck
But it wasn't played here
Is it still considered the Fried Liver Attack if the knight doesn't take on f7? I thought Na5 was standard Two Knights Defense line
I really like your lectures, but sometimes the sound volume is way too low, like in this video
yes please improve the sound volume
why not nxd5 @0:42? What's the variation if that happens
If nxd5 then nxf7, Kxn then Qf3+ and that is called the fried liver with the black king moving into the center of the board and coming under a brutal attack in exchange for a knight.
1:12 someone pls explain how the black pon eats the white 1
En passant. Look it up on the net.
It was just a hungry cannibal
Hahaha
hey mato... I love your videos... but would it be possible to tell us what the time controls are for these games... Thanks
Wait, at the end, when Fisher moves the Bishop to e5 and Bisguier responds with ...Re8, instead of that, what's wrong with ... Ne3 forking the rook and queen?
I love how he always goes, "Why he resign?" xD
saithegray1 he resigned in view of dis variation
Why he resign?
He was playing fischer
+damion cross no no
he was playing 'fischa'
thank you mato
At the end what's wrong with qween f6?
at 3:12 can't the horse hop down to c2? there's no defenders there
Yup
because then the rook can go to B1, and then the knight is in no mans land with no squares to escape and is useless
I wonder how it would have played out if, at 4:25, Black would have moved his knight from f5 to g3 (check).
Mato, you should to try keep the volume of your voice uniform throughout your videos; many are lower than others, and then the volume has to be adjusted.
Two Knights Defense is official name.
1:12 how did he take white pawn if it wasn't in front of him?
En passant. Not many know the rule.
Noah G No matter the situation, I never pass up an opportunity for an en passant. It always makes me giggle when I do it.
How come so much people find an interest in a game but don't bother to learn its rules...?
I think you're probably overestimating people's interest in chess
That doesn't make it any less paradoxical in my opinion
Why is it necessary to capture the dark squared bishop?
I had the same question; it seemed a poor move to me.
Mickyle Jeob Mangada probably because White would have a Queen capture/great attack with Rg1 else? (im not an advanced player at all so i might have missed something)
Bisguier was a top US player. Anyone know Bobby's lifetime record vs. him?
I don't know fischer's record against bisquier.
Mike Mike Bobby said it was something like 12-0. Bobby won all his big matches against him.
Good
At 01:20, why is it bad to double white's pawns on h2 and h3?
who is the mystery number 6?
So you would play another grandmaster having a bishop and a rook against a queen and rook?
Use a compressor on any decent sound editing software to keep volume uniform ;)
Who is the best player of all time?
What if
...Re2 instead of a queen move?
minute 3:12 better continuation for black it was Ne2 attacking the bishop and if moves then Nf4 capturing pawn ...and after bishop take's N pawn take bishop rook takes pawn , black can play rook to E2 threatening check mate...
At 4:05 why not take the rook on d8 to d4. It forks the queen and bishop and you don't loose a piece without the opponent losing one too.
well, I am no master, but I would love to try.
should what be the question?
After such a brilliant position of Black Night on D4, why did he retrieve back when threatened by C3?? Rather than retrieving NF5, Black should have played NC2 and could have got one rook surely... Was playing C3 was Bobby's mistake ?? Please explain Mato..
The rook can sidestep the knight by moving to b1 and then the knight is trapped, thereby Black loses a whole piece.
Why does black has to play Rxe5 at 4:34?
It was pretty obvious that kt was loosing. That was a simple tactic.
Most of your videos that i watched sound really low. Please make them louder please?
Bobby was a decent player in the 50's. I played him in Brooklyn and let him win to help his confidence. Seems to have worked. (*_*)
Keep going clown
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
What do you think ;)
Nice once Mato
Isn't it a rule that you can't castle after your king has been put in check?
If so, black shouldn't have been able to castle at 1:26
EDIT: looked up the rule. Nevermind
+Broman lol..
ARGH !
Solonizer Solonizer you seem like an akward person..
You can castle after your king has been put in check. However, you cannot castle if you have moved your king from its initial position from e1 or e8, or if you have moved the rook that you are going to castle with.
Genius
Rook E8 Check mate.
1:12 d3 is empty how the hell can black takes on this square???
Rosario Leonardi wow, this is new to me.. thanks
Its called en passant, its a legal move. If a pawn moves through with jumping toward two square from the starting line while there's a square in the secound line aimed by an enemy pawn, the enemy can simply capture it and go to his/her enemy's third rank.
Fischer ad Kasparov
@4:30 alternate play: Fischer Be5xg7 pinning Q
Bobby "I get Wins" Fischer
when he resigned he may have had a fighting chance if he moves his rook to E2 to trade his Queen for the bishop
Doubled pawns are fundamentally weak usually poisoned& slow movement but you should consider each position beyond theory. Fischer invited his N to be captured to open the g file.
As well as Petrosian, Spassky and Tal.
why would he?
Mato, I think you didn't see that black also had a good move. At 4.15, when you say that the black Night is pinned, you are actually forgetting that black has Ng3 +?! , giving check to the white king. He will be captured but at least black would gain a tempo and manage to move his queen away from the dangerous spot.
And continue a piece down against Bobby Fischer . . .
+Amore Azione if h2xNg3, Qh5+; Kg1; Qh2# Mate. Fischer would not be able to stop it.
+Conky Jr h2xg3?? - instead after . . . Ng3+, Bxg3. . .Qh5 (the queen would still need to protect f7) Rf5 and there is no point in continuing.
if were going older players, captain evans (aka evans gambit) or Capablanca
ng5 is not a fried liver attack. it's simply called knight attack. Nxf7 is a fried liver
Oh sry didn't see he double them at 01:38
Where is New York, oh it's a city where I live in!
It seems as if knight to H3 is a weak move for fischer... I'm playing a similar game right now, and hating that knight :(
@ 3:55 for black rook e8 take bishop e4 winning
Well its entirely down to player styles, i have a top 3, a somewhat controversial top 3 as kasperov is not in there. But here goes.
: Tal
Karpov
Short
I notice I win lots of games giving up my h pawn allowing my rooks to attack the king I see the greats doing the same
And bleck.....lezined...
hhhh i like when he say that
HMMMMMM
Black had a good game ...
Bisguier beat Fischer the very first time they met. He never beat him again.
Or to keep Qs simply Bf4xNe3
so the name of this opening is fried liver huh? hmm doesnt seem to taste so good for black
Ne3 Bxg6 Nxc4 Bxf7 check and knight is lost
Fischer plays brilliant chess but there is something in Tal's play which Fischer is lacking although may be Fischer is even brighter in chess. This something makes play of Tal win him even over chess prodigy.
It is called genius. Like what Einstein possessed.
Locutus D'Borg Fischer had an IQ of around 180.The same as Einstein.
So me, you, Fischer, and Einstein are all geniuses. I'm down with that.
tal's style was the extremely aggressive to the point of weaking/opening up himself. tal loved difficult/tactical wild positions. fischer preferred to simply whip your butt with as little risk to himself as possible...or just simply whip your butt.
my mistake...I actually was speaking about korchnoi. tal was brilliant, and for that matter, so was korchnoi.
destruction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At that point it is White's turn to move.If he plays R-G1,Black can't take at E4.
Fried liver is a french cuisine!
Type friendlier
you're not really spending anytime showing the variations. way too quickly analyzing this game and I am an expert chess player, so instructional wise not much of value.
I respect your view. But sometimes it's too boring when they give all options and analysis.
This video was in 2011. He has improved :)
Ahmed Salama oh yes, I would not see a video over 10min cuz I'm lazy :p
LOL
that is not true actually,,but sounds nice lol
N-E3 loses to BxQ,...NxQ BxPch...K moves BxN,and the QP is safe.
thats finished for black
The chess era from 1962 to 1972 was the weakest in chess history.Fischer was a genius!.But ha played against the blunder makers like Taimanov Larsen Gligoric Hort Benkö D.Byrne and so on.The computers solved all Fischer famous moves under second thinking time.Against Larsen rook e5! i think the best player of all time is kasparov
lol try tal games, more of the same fun
why does god need humans to glorify him ?
disliked because i can't hear a thing
