I never considered throwing a big shad glidebait, now I will gteat idea. And I totally agree with you about pond basd becoming educated. The pond I fish has GIANT shad and I feel that the bass eat them at night and then they snub their noses to everything we throw at em. Pond used to fish great but not sou much anymore, maybe these glide baits will work.
Great video dude. You’re one of if not my favorite Basser. The Nessie isn’t out yet(continued delays in production). You pros get lures I can’t get yet. Berkley does a fabulous job on improving the Japanese plugs and I expect the Nessie to be a killer. I now fish from a Hobie PA 14 360 loaded, and I find it harder to fish a yak than off the deck of a bass boat but I’m learning. The Nessie appears to swim similar to the Sluggo baits but with more of an actual bait fish appearance and greater size. It’s suppose to be a hard winter, I live in Texas and our weather temps give us longer fishing seasons and we are just getting past 100 deg. temps so it’s about to really get fun. Keep those videos coming. They are the best. Thanks
Have watched you for years I have 7 grandkids from 1 to 9 years old we watch you every chance we get your baits of the month have helped me catch more and better bass we fish a bunch of farm ponds here in Jasper it's a pleasure teaching my grandkids what I have learned throughout the years as well as what we have learned from you .thanks for all that you do for the sport of Bass fishing.
Thanks so much. My grand kids have really gotten into fishing in the last year and your videos are making all the difference. They maybe tried of 😢listening to me or watching you on a video makes it more interesting Anyway if it works it works. Thanks again for making a grand dads work easier. I really love those kids.
Always look forward to your videos, Edwin! Been following your career for years. Really appreciate your boldness for Christ and your Sunday scriptures. God Bless!
Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. I have learned so much watching your videos. You do a great job explaining different baits and techniques. Thanks Edwin.🎣
Thanks again. You have helped me get better by being willing to try something else and still catch fish. Your ability to break down a lake is amazing and fun to watch. Cheers
I have a couple glides but these are perfect for my son that wants to try throwing glides. Good for a beginner and cost effective. Thanks for pointing these out!
These videos have become an absolute staple for my preparation before almost every outing, thanks for continuing this series over the years, tons of great info!!
Congrats on the new store. The slobberknocker is my favorite vibrating jig. The glide looks really interesting and the Berkley Big Bass will be on Lake Fork in October.
Great info as always... never fished a glide bait, but certainly will give it a try.... thanks again for all the time, tips & tricks you are willing to share with the weekend anglers. Look forward to passing them on to my kids and grandkids.. God bless .
Great little bit of information on those Nessie’s! I’ve been extremely interested in getting some since they’ve been talked about! I am very curious how those big ones will do in my area (mid-west Ohio) not a lot of big waters around here lol.
I like that you add a action video along with your explanation of the lure/bait.. There's so much to learn about different lures, different seasons, for different lakes, rivers, etc.. Thank for sharing buddy, I'm always looking for fishing tips!!
“I got 99 problems. And………. Watching Edwin Evers UA-cam videos ain’t one”. Thanks for all the content you put out every month and showing/ teaching all of us your lil tricks. It definitely improved my fishing game
I just started digging into Glide Bait fishing and learning more about the available baits, gear, line and tackle. This video came at an opportune time to support the things I have been reading and videos I have watched. I cannot wait to get into glide bait fishing. Thanks for the bait recommendation and this video.
Thanks alot for all your helpful tips and fishing ideas!!! I love fishing with crankbaits and swim baits this time of year!!!! Thanks again and enjoy your upcoming holiday season!!!
Love the tips, Edwin! I’ll have to check my local Academy and see if they’re carrying that swimbait. Seems like the 5” might be good for hybrid stripers too!
I just found your channel and I have to say I love how you explain the baits and how to use them. The retrieval explanation on how you work em is great. Definitely following you from here on out
Thank you for your lure recommendations, Edwin! All three of your suggestions make perfect sense. The shallow bite is FIRE in the fall! That new Berkley Nessie sure looks intriguing, I can't wait to try one.
Great bait choices. Looking forward to trying Nessie. We have been smashing them on chatterbaits the last couple weeks on Beaver. Looking forward to throwing it the rest of this month.
Thanks for the tips. What happens to your boat when you get a new one? My aluminum boat broke through the bottom at the last high school tournament towards end of their fishing. Barely got them back to ramp. Thanks for everything
Good luck getting your hands on a Nessie. I’ve had a dozen cullshad ordered for months and can’t get them from Berkley. Biggest tournament of the year for me in 4 days.
Great baits. I use the baits you talk about every month. I have caught a lot of fish on some baits you talk about just by using your tips. I’ll definitely be using these baits. October is the hardest month for me. Especially when I’m fishing out the back of the boat. Thanks so much.
After an extremely hot summer in Texas I am looking forward to cooler weather. I plan to try each of these baits this month. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You have helped me become a better angler.
I really want to try that nessie! I want to get into Swimbait fishing, but I’m intimidated by the high prices and large sizes. Excited to try the other lures this month aswell.
I was intimidated by big baits myself...UNTIL, I ordered a spro bbz rat-50 which is 10" long, 2 1/2 oz...didn't realize how big it was, but I took it out on an early fall day just to see it...3rd cast, a 2 1/2 lb. er smoked it! That day, I've been a big bait addict ever since ..what an adrenaline rush
Love the tips that you give us every month. I do have a day that in the fall up here in NY, sometimes you got to slow down a little bit to get bites. Especially with a slobberknocker. Thanks Edwin
Thank you sir I just started fishing a few years ago and trying to teach my son. Your videos have really helped me teach him. Keep ‘em coming they work
Straight to the point with the information and I love how I can understand the way you describe everything. I watch alot of videos and i am a new subscriber to this channel but I will be watching this guy from now on!
Thanks so much for the October tips, maybe this will help this tough month. I love the tips on the frog have already placed my order for three different colors and the hooks. Happy fall fishing.
Thanks for sharing. I really appreciate your breakdown and explanation of why you chose the baits and where to throw them. I think this fall I am going to commit more to the glide bait fishing.
Thanks for exposing us to the Nessie, looks like a great bait. I've never tried a glide bait before, they always seem way too expensive and in pike country, it may not return to the boat. Hoping this may be my first glide bait experience.
Awesome! Like trying to think outside the normal and catching more and big bass. Thank you E for teaching that you don't have to do the normal to catch them!!
Had over 20 lbs one day last week, and at least that a few days before on a bladed jig. Waking it just under the surface, wood/shade in shallows was key. What an incredible pattern to fish in the fall.
I like the look of the nessie bait have never tried one enjoy the type of lure you suggest and the ways to work them and the rod reel and line to use with each
great advice i will try the new bait ! i have been keeping notes in a note book with all of your advice and baits from each mouth trying to catch some big fish have not yet with little help from god i get one ... and i would like to know what is your favorite like in ohio???
I had a really good feeling about the buzz toad, so thanks for confirming that for me and I'm not big on glide baits, their kinda intimidating for me that's why I've never thrown one but if I do, its gotta be that Berkley Nessie. I'm excited for that release.
That paddle frog looks killer .I think that's going to be one I need to pick up.this week and give it a try on our lakes.thst have alot of grass shallow
It’s great that you talk about using baits which are effective but different from what traditionally people use this time of year. This will definitely make a difference for me this fall to help me think outside o& the box. Keep up the great videos!
I finally got my first top water LMB this year and now have the fever. I need to work up some confidence for glide baits, but I'm sure they're gonna be fun!
I got to meet you a couple years back at the East Tennessee fishing show it was great talking to you and I learned a lot in a little time talking and it followed you ever since when you pick me for the glide bait please sign it thank you for all you do and helping everybody to have a better day on the water
Still getting use to fishing this Florida lakes after moving from Tennessee. Will put these bait on my list to try down here. Keep up the great work, I love the videos.
I can't wait to get my hands on a Nessie. I've started glide bait fishing and been looking forward to the trying out the Berkeley glide. It looks like a killer.
I really find your tips on lures insightful and you really an angler narrow it down to pick the right baits to use at any given time. I will keep watching your videos. Thank You.
I need to try out the Nessie swimbaits. They sure are light weight when compared to other glides. I’m glad your pecans filled out. Mine are all shriveled up because we (Texas) haven’t had a 1” of rain (total) since may. This makes 2 years in a row I didn’t get a crop. My pecans are my only income. I sure hope this heat and drought isn’t going to be the norm in yearly weather patterns. I went through the entire summer with no AC. No pecan crop means no money to pay electric bills.
Love these videos, always check them out before going out to my local lake👍 Quick question, I'm new to glidebaits myself.... what gear ratio reel for the 7 or 9 inch model Nessie? To make it easier to work quick or slide back and forth. Keep up the great content 👏
Thanks for the video. I pre-ordered 2 of every color of the "Nessie" about 3 weeks ago. So I am excited to hopefully get those soon. I definitely can agree with the chatterbait deal. Had an experience where my buddies and I were fishing and the only guy who was throwing the chatter ended up catching the biggest fish. Thanks again for the video.
Another great video. Not much better than this time of year. Playoff baseball, football season, deer season, and the temperatures cooling off to make days on the water even more enjoyable!
Thanks Again for the great videos. This one is great for me because I'm just getting into using a glide bait. Can't wait to get my hand on one of the Nessie baits.
I never considered throwing a big shad glidebait, now I will
gteat idea. And I totally agree with you about pond basd becoming educated. The pond I fish has GIANT shad and I feel that the bass eat them at night and then they snub their noses to everything we throw at em. Pond used to fish great but not sou much anymore, maybe these glide baits will work.
You are the only pro that teaches to the point and doesn't speak in circles your talent and knowledge are appreciated so much
I love October wish it was a longer month. Great time to fish!

Great baits! Love this series and congrats on the new store. Might have to drive up there and check it out and pick up some pecans!
Never used a glide bait .. I guess I need to try one

Thanks Edwin for the bait suggestions. I’m trying to learn how to fish glide baits, and throwing the Nessie will help.
Congrats on the new store. The slobberknocker is my favorite vibrating jig. The glide looks really interesting and the Berkley Big Bass will be on Lake Fork in October.

Love the instructions and creativity on using the new baits along with the time of year!
Thanks for showing stuff truly not everyone would think of. Always enjoy your content and how you take the time to explain things as well.
I've tried a lot glide baits and have a lot of trouble keeping them hooked. The Nessie's design looks like the harness will eliminate that problem.
Thanks for the information. I just getting into glide baits so curious if wind is a necessity for these baits to be the most productive?
“I got 99 problems. And………. Watching Edwin Evers UA-cam videos ain’t one”. Thanks for all the content you put out every month and showing/ teaching all of us your lil tricks. It definitely improved my fishing game

E, do you play around with the treble on the Nessie and add any weight for depth?
Love the tips, Edwin! I’ll have to check my local Academy and see if they’re carrying that swimbait. Seems like the 5” might be good for hybrid stripers too!

Love glide baits but cant find the Nessie anywhere in stock.
Thanks again Edwin! Would love to try the Nessie on Lake Norman…..kinda like you did in the Red Crest!

I love fishing this time of year. Bring on the cool weather
Love your vids! My highschool anglers have learned a lot from them. Thank you for all you do and have done for younger anglers!
Had over 20 lbs one day last week, and at least that a few days before on a bladed jig. Waking it just under the surface, wood/shade in shallows was key. What an incredible pattern to fish in the fall.
I like the look of the nessie bait have never tried one enjoy the type of lure you suggest and the ways to work them and the rod reel and line to use with each
You said the 9 inch is easiest. Is the 5in hard to get to work right?
Great information! Can’t wait to see what you have for November! In the woods but still finding time to get on the water! Thanks for the content!
Love using the bladder jig! It’s very versatile!
great advice i will try the new bait ! i have been keeping notes in a note book with all of your advice and baits from each mouth trying to catch some big fish have not yet with little help from god i get one ... and i would like to know what is your favorite like in ohio???
Appreciate the fact that you always explain these baits in a way I understand it. Thank u sir .Glen
I have always wanted to step up to a bigger swim bait. I guess now is time for me to pull the trigger on a few.

It is a killer. It’s an exact stolen copy of the Grow Designs G-Flag.
Send me one I'll try it out .
I really find your tips on lures insightful and you really an angler narrow it down to pick the right baits to use at any given time. I will keep watching your videos. Thank You.

I just recently got into fishing so you have any tips
Another great video. Not much better than this time of year. Playoff baseball, football season, deer season, and the temperatures cooling off to make days on the water even more enjoyable!
Thanks Again for the great videos. This one is great for me because I'm just getting into using a glide bait. Can't wait to get my hand on one of the Nessie baits.
