    Was throwing the spinner bait and chartreuse/black back square bill today. Also had the plopper out too, cause I’ve been crushing the top water with them the last two weeks. There is simply nothing better than a blowup on the top water! Doesn’t matter how many times you see it, it’s magical everytime

    I decided to go with your recommendation of the zoom ol monster in the green pumpkin magic color
    With a small 3/32 nail weight
    After starting an early morning adventure today with a white swim jig and no luck . The bite was tough so I switched over. I ended up landing a 4lbs large mouth that put up a very fun fight
    I have never caught such a large fish on soft plastics like a worm. It was a fantastic way to end my morning of fishing.
    Thank you Tyler for all the great tips and consistent content., it really has changed the way I look for fish and lures I use.. I didn’t get discouraged I kept trying and it paid off.

    Another great video. Very informative. I've been finding the large mouths at the drop off points, around 30-40 feet from shore. Casting to the usual cover and under the docks, the usual places I find bass in the summer, has not been producing anything. When I go out more towards the middle, where the water starts getting deep....there I am hitting the bass...with the baits you describe here.

    Spinnerbaits and Squarebill cranks are definitely 2 of my favorite baits to throw in the fall . I typically throw a walking bait instead of a buzzbait but all in all completely agree with the list

      I like to tie a square bill that dives say 12-15 feet, and on a second rod I tie on a Suspending Jerk Bait that runs at 5-7 feet, and I can slow walk both profiles on the surface as wake baits. So, I am working every part of the water column from the surface to the depth of my diving lure, and everything in between with just 2 lures...

    The whoosh bite is exactly what happened to me yesterday. The water was kinda clear so u used a translucent color and downsized my willow to a #3.5. then I tied on a Tennessee shad colored bomber square A and put my trolling motor on 3/4 power and started picking them up. Some were in the backs of the creeks and pockets some came on the main lake some in between. Keep chucking keep catching. I too use a spinnerbait without a trailer hook in heavy cover. Great point made about adding plastic. Makes perfect sense! Great video man.

    I believe that by upsizing or downsizing the 'match the hatch' lure, that alone could make the presentation stand out to the bass. Or by throwing a lure that mimics a bass thats trying to feed on another bass' prey.

    I was swimming a creature bait just subsurface with a 1/2 oz tungsten weight and I caught tons of fish at a farm pond. The biggest one caught was 5.07 pounds. I watched my brother and dad size up doing the same thing. Sometimes you try something different and crazy and you catch lots of fish.

    I use to have a spinnerbait with two willow leaves. Medium size on the blades was metallic red and black stripes coming downward at an angle and the skirt was same color but straight up and down stripes. Idk who it was made by is was 15 years ago when I had it but I'm telling you no other spinnerbait in the world could match how they hit that thing. I literally caught so many on it the skirt was left with probably 5 strands of skit left and got bent. Never have seen one like it period and I never used a trailer or anything. I quit using spinnerbaits just bc I couldn't ever find another like it. I really will never forget that thing

    Thanks for the tips…I was using a whopper plopper, top water frog and sencos a few days ago and got skunked. I don’t think because of what I was casting but that part of the lake was full of dead vegetation and the water level was so low.
    Wondering are sencos a year round good bait or not really in the fall?

    • @Magik1369
      @Magik1369 Рік тому

      I got a 6 lb largemouth on a bright green senko yesterday. But generally speaking, they have not been hitting the senkos. Water levels are low everywhere as the entire country is experiencing drought. Swim baits that go deep have been producing...but only 2-3 fish per outing. The action hasn't been that good this fall.

    • @lmslasher8570
      @lmslasher8570 Рік тому

      Stick worms (senkos, basspro,zoom etc) by accident I present a new method of the wacky worm
      When casting the first initial contact when it hits the water, I’ll draw it back to the surface, and make it a top water with a few tugs , where it makes a “boiling water” sound then let it fall , the strike is so fast , sometimes the bass will snap at it as if it was a topwater, I’ll hear it and give a couple seconds to set the hook.
      hopefully this is useful for ya! Good luck 🎣 🎣

    • @joegrande4848
      @joegrande4848 Рік тому

      A kvd splash works great even on lower water levels, an walking baits too. Also a football head jig. You can still yoyo a lure even if water is low. Although you won't have to lift rod tip as high. Last but not least always vary your pause an retrieve speeds. Fast crank 1,1000 then 2 1,000 then moderate 1,1000 2,1,000 then pause

    • @matthewmaidment4918
      @matthewmaidment4918 Рік тому

      pro tip. throw an underspin with a senko in the fall. I've caught 5 3/4 # bass in 44 degree water. casting past your target and reeling and jerking to your target and letting it drop to the bottom. then slowly draging it

    • @bobfishnut
      @bobfishnut Рік тому

      Yes, dead vegetation reduces the oxygen in the area. Tactical Bassin says the fish will then move on immediate hard structure like rocks and lay downs until the winter sets in where they will then go to deeper nearby area for winter.

    lipless crank rattle bait looking like a bluegill absolutely slayed for me recently. It has been great, however.... I had one slap me as I was pulling it out of the water to recast, snapped my pole, the line, dropped my pole and grabbed the line still on the top of the water, quickly wrapped my hand and started pulling, he shook his head and snapped the line. So he now lives with a bluegill lipless rattle crank bait.

      Also, watch activity on the water, for fish possibly jumping after flies on water surface watch also for birds. Lastly can use the triangle method using two trees visually draw a triangle an the points of triangle you throw your lure. Also can use triangle in transitions meaning a wall structure on shore changing to dirt an rock hill type structure next to a bluff which is a hill that drops from the peak angling down toward water deep into water. These drops can angle as far as 50 plus feet under the water

      Follow a creek as far as u can until it's so shallow that u can't go anymore and ur in the "back of a creek" now u don't have to go that far but just going up a creek is going to the backs of a creek
