It's easy to include her. She's with the FBI. Sidney's husband, Mark, was a detective and likely still is. She knows Sidney and takes a special interest in Ghostface attacks. Not hard to see Mark and Kirby working together with the latest Ghostface killing spree.

Me too, it was dead until Neve announced her return, along with Kevin Williamson. Life is back to the franchise now. It's a dream come true. This is gonna bomb at the box office for sure 🤩🙏

I would think Kevin Williamson would be dying to bring Kirby back considering she was his new final girl of Scream 4 and its intended sequels. And we haven’t seen Sydney and Kirby interact since then, despite them having intense scenes together in 4. Seems like it’d be a huge waste not to involve her.

If that was the case they shouldn't of have brought her back in 6 cus she didnt really add much anyway. I love Kirby but they should have done more with her.

Hayden Panettiere is by far the best to come out of the new generation of Scream characters starting from Scream 4. Kirby Reed's the only one worthy to carrying on the mantle of facing off against future ghostfaces.
I thought it would have been intriguing to see a story where Kirky deals with PTSD and being involuntary reticent. Struggling to return to a state of peace while having to put her survival instincts to the test when a new Ghostface killer emerges.
I be hype if Kirby returns she easily one of my favorite characters in the franchise
Kirby and Ethan is ghostfeys in Scream 7. Ethan is a live.Ethan killed Dewey in Scream 5 and Kirby killed Judy in Scream 5

@BeyondTheMask I love that Neve is back , but still torn that Melissa and Jenna aren’t returning ( at least as of right now) . If the latter are indeed not returning I wouldn’t be surprised if Scream 7 would incorporate some type of time jump. In Scream 5 we learned Sydney is married with reasonably young kids ( she’s pushing a stroller in one scene and mentions having multiple kids) . If Scream 7 does a time jump , Sydney’s kids would be older and incorporated into the story line possibly as the “new cast” . I can’t picture Ghostface going after a bunch of 5 year olds but , if they are college aged , that would very much play into the separate from the legacy character story line ( by being away at college), but also be the reason why they’d still have a connection to the legacy characters. The new cast being Sydney’s children & friends would presumably start getting attacked by Ghostface, mainly due to being Sydney’s kids. Ultimately tying in with the legacy characters meeting up with the new characters . Sydney would totally be the momma bear type to swoop in and kick the new Ghostface’s ass. As for the new Ghostface (and this is just me thinking outloud as I type this) , I could totally see it being a true crime podcast obsessed college peer who learns through the podcast about Sydney’s children going to their college .
Excited for Neve to get the recognition she deserves but Spyglass still owes Melissa a public apology.
7 is fine without kirby. She's dropped the ball in both movies she's been in and it was her fault Gale got attacked in 6.
From all the scheduled releases so far next year I can’t see a Scream movie doing better than any film currently set to release between January and August, September and October and November are probably the quietest months and then December is pretty heavy. A fall release would probably be best realistically.
I'm just glad that Spyglass is moving foward with completing this film. I just wonder if this one would be the last Scream movie in the franchise.

It seems to me personally Hayden will join specifically due to the fact that they helped her get back into the industry willingly.
Would be great to have a new setting and characters for future movies. The big advantage for the franchise is that Ghost face can be anyone anywhere. Imagine someone completely unconnected to the old scream crew taking up the mask in a new town and in a new state, perhaps even new country. The franchise is becoming a joke and has been milked for all its worth. The second movie was great and maybe fourth and fifth could scrape by as being worthy of the Scream title but it has gone on too long. I feel like I already know the story arch and discussions about what the next movie should be about from characters talking meta about modern movies, don't need to go and see all these familiar characters go through the motions.
If they do bring her back, she will be an easy target to get killed off to make the move more impactful.
They have to raise the stakes somehow

I’d be so up for Kirby coming back if she was brought back somewhat resembling her scre4m version, whitty one liners and mysterious! 6 felt like her first big movie so they can keep her where ever she is if that’s her character going forward
I also just realised she was labelled as specialising in ghostface attacks.. previous ones to her attack in 4 or have there been more since? Little details they missed it would brought some form of life to her character
I do like Kirby, she's a fun lovable character, but I don't see her returning. Something tells me they only wanted her back for 6🤷

I feel like Kirby should be a celebrity in the Scream universe. I liked when Gale mentioned "True crime" being popular. I could see Kirby basically doing like a tv series where it documents each ghost face attack and she's the host interviewing survivors or people who knew or are slightly related to victims.

Jenna Ortega puts my butts in seats, as much as I love Neve, I don't want to see another Sidney centric Scream film and that just disappoints me because we know Sidney's never going to die. I hope that a new studio takes the rights for 8 and brings the franchise back to what it was. I loved the hell out of 6 and Tara. Most studios have 3 film rights in a contract like Blumhouse with Halloween, right?
