I think this sounds amazing! 5 years isn’t even that crazy. It’s long enough for the daughter to be older to play a pivotal part but not so long that Sidney or Gale would have to look “old”. This sounds like it could make a great setup for a new trilogy. Can bring in some new blood while still being able to keep the OG’s enough to please legacy fans. I agree, this should have been the plot of 5. (A secret daughter always felt a little…over done.)
She's been with Mark since the early aughts (taking the time jumps of 2 and 3 into account). Her oldest can literally be early 20s with the second a teen. Not sure why they gave her a baby in 5.
@@helenarain4574do you know what a time jump is? There has been a time jump in-between every single movie be it one year to several years. Otherwise, part two would pick up exactly where part one ended.
@@OutTheMudtv625 Def kept up as Scream 2 is technically already a Scream film with a time jump since it's 2 years later and yet released less than a year later.

True. Even there were several films centered around Laurie Strod's daughter in the Halloween franchise. A little similar to Sam, too. I can see the Scream franchise going this route.
@@LukeDodge916I’m completely down with that, but at the same time, they can just keep the same timeline. Aside from Dewey’s death, the Scream 5 and 6 events weren’t that important and didn’t change anything in the overall story of the franchise.
I'm probably in the minority. But, similar to Star Wars putting out 9 movies based around the Skywalkers and the Halloween movies with Jamie Lee Curtis. Everyone loves Sidney but it would be nice to just go in a completely different direction.
I agree with you. Most of these movies doesn't have more stakes. Laurie was a waste in Halloween Kills and Ends, writers didn't know what to do with her. Episode 9 was horrible and those last Ghostbusters movies were very lackluster. Fans are trying to defend Sidney by using Laurie, but that's not a very good example.
You don't need a time jump for Sidneys kids. My middle brother is 6.5 years older than me and my eldest is 10.5 years older. The kids weren't even known about until 5 so they could be any age apart from the toddler 🤔🤔👀
ok so here it goes. I like the time jump idea. I like getting Sidney as the main focus. They tried so hard with 5 and 6, with the core 4 and I will forever appreciate those films. My highlight of them though is Melissa Barrera. she has a grounded aspect to herself as an actor, and watching all the interviews for 5 and 6 with her, she always was the one spot on with her knowledge in scream. I know the other ones said they were fans of the films, but you can genuinely tell Melissa had a protective aspect to the franchise that the other didn’t. It’s a shame they let her go, although her contract wasn’t signed; and she was going to come back, still, the studio did her wrong. What I will say is though in a few years down the line, when maybe Sidney has “enough” like Jamie Lee did (I love you Neve but there I’ll be a time) I look forward to them bringing Sam back!!!! But yea I love the Time jump
I'm not completely against the time jump tbh but i would much rather it be at the same time as scream vi or picking up right after. It just makes so much sense to do that because if they want to excuse the absence of the core four and kirby then the most ideal way to do that is have 7 take place during the events of 6 that way we can know for sure that it's impossible for them to be in both places at the same time. I sure hope the time jump thing is just a rumor tho
I kinda feel like this is awesome. Its like because of Sydney's mom brought this on her,now she will bring it upon her kids like a curse. Sounds awesome.
At the end of the day I just wanna see more Ghostface so if they're going to create a new trilogy, I'm all in! However, I would still love to see a series of movies that are from the killers perspective and are total divorced from the current Scream characters and movie formula. This means Ghostface wins.
I personally in the long run pretty much don't care where they go with screen because it's not my money being wasted to make this happen. If I don't like what I'm hearing seeing in trailers I just won't go see it. I really much would love to see Matthew Lillard return once more like they've been promising for so long but then never coming through with. But yeah I will agree with you on one big massive topic that this is the starting point I wish they would have taken in five. I feel radio silence had no real plan and if you watch the commentary for scream 2022 they basically admitted they had no plan. They pitched an ID but then admitted to themselves. It's like oh my god. Do we really have an ID? They didn't really have any plans here. I feel and six kind of proved where it went and how it was going to end like that. So I'm up for a fresh start but at the end of the day it'll depend on how good the trailer looks to. Let me see it at all
Could the movie start with Sidney’s. husband getting murdered and like mirror scream 1? Perhaps Sid would play like her father, but have more screen time. But it’s the father of her kids what caused all this. Maybe some big FBI job he did lead to someone being real angry at Sidney and decides to take it out on her kids. I do also thing her having 3 girls is a mistake. I think there should be atleast 1 boy.
Okay so the movie is actually being released about 2 years after Scream VI, but set 5 years later. It will have been about 5 years since we’ve seen Sidney anyway, so it’s really not a big deal at all.
I really hope they pay off the deleted idea of a cult ran by stu and coming after the daughter of the girl he always had a thing for could be interesting
I'm game for this new trilogy focusing on Sidney's daughter being 15 or 16 just don't retread what Sidney's trilogy did and change it up to be different. But after Scream 7-9 is done I would like to see the Core Four return to wrap up their story those characters grew on me as a fan.
Alisha Weir (the girl from Abigail) should play Sidney’s oldest daughter! She’s around 15 and a great actress and has quite a resemblance to a younger Neve.
So that would make it 2028 in Scream 7/ 32 years since the original killings happened, making her daughter's 15, 13 and 8 so I'm guessing the nanny is solely for the 8 year old since the other 2 are to old to need a nanny tbh
3:38 if they go that route I feel they need to disconnect this ghostface from Sydney. Make it a classmate or an ex or something of her eldest daughter who knows about Sydney's history because it's well publicized through the stab movies and maybe he gets pissed off at Sid's daughter somehow for some reason and decides to put on a ghostface costume to get back at her In a way that could really affect her, especially if her daughter becomes the new Sydney of this franchise and they have the balls to kill off Sydney but if they kill her off, I think they should do it in the second one of this trilogy and they need to do it in a way. That's respectful of her character. Not some cheap death to Garner attention and talk, but something really impactful and meaningful to the story itself
Yup, would make Sidney’s oldest daughter very close to the same age as what the prequel mentions of Scream were when Sidney lost her mother at 16 years old. Her oldest girl is 15-16… perfect fresh start and hopefully they have a female character just as professional as Neve is to continue the legacy.
To me writing in 3 daughters feels like a way to safe safetynet to fall back on and too much risk of having bad child actor stuck in the franchise. Would be nice to have a final boy as well. 3 kids and everyone will survive just like always. Sidney, gale, daddy and the kids. And the nanny, teacher or next reporter did it. I really hope Zion will be Sidney’s daughter taking over.
Personally, I say that there is nothing stopping them from saying that at least one of Sidney's daughters was born prior to Scream IV. At the same time, 12 year-old horror protagonists aren't unheard of. So things could really go either way. That being said, yes. Yes, I would very much like to see a more "true" next gen scream. As much as I love the "core 4", we're just going to have to wait another day to hear more about them... hopefully.
Okay… so as a huge fan of the series since I was 10 years old when I saw Scream 1996 in the theatre & followed productions for every film since … I have only 2 things I do not want from the new entry : Please do not sideline Sidney’s character again like in Scream 5. I get they wanna appeal to a younger audience with a young cast but there are ways to incorporate Sidney that doesn’t seem forced. Also… now we have Kevin Williamson on board as Director & with the new announcements of a new television series he’s working on I fear old habits … i hope he gives this new installment his “all” & we don’t have another Scream 3 & Scream 4 incident with Ehren Kruger brought back & disregarding all of Kevin’s notes !!! Please get it right this time with ALL KEVIN’s ATTENTION & INVOLVEMENT ! 🙏
I feel like they should just do a one-off movie first and then have a new trilogy. That way it kind of works out cuz we had the first three with the first trilogy then we had scream. 4. And then we got where we're supposed to get the second trilogy in five, six and seven. But since we're not getting a conclusion to the trilogy, they should just make seven disconnected from everything that way. 8 9 and 10 can be a nice trilogy honestly I'd be kind of happy if they called scream 10 scream x or something pay homage to Jason x
@@BrutallyHonestDave iPhones can’t be used by any characters who act violently…. So I guess *maybe* the kids might have them but usually they just give everyone a Samsung
Personally I’m not a fan of going down that pass the torch to a younger generation thing. They did it in 4, 5 and 6, and they even tried to do it in the awful Scream TV series as well, I think it was a mistake going down that path. I don’t want to see even more teeny bopper stuff, I think the Scream franchise needs to mature and move on from that. Kevin Williamson’s show The Following which was based off his original Scream 3 plans, that show The Following is what the Scream franchise needed to evolve into. The Scream franchise needs to move on from the same stuff of teeny bopper stuff and the meta comedy Stab stuff as well. Scream needs to change and move on
Excellent idea. Always been stressed working out how old her kids were going to be trying to figure it out from scream 4 with sidneys stab to the stomach and healing before birth. Definitely need a teen daughter to take the reigns. A small time jump is definitely needed.
Sidney's eldest daughter needs to be the new lead not the nanny the relationship between Sidney and Maureen is so complex I'd love to see what Sidney is like as a mum (imagine Sidney got killed off history repeating itself)
@CarlosRuiz-fh5on I doubt it would be a pretty dumb contract considering as fans were supposed to care when her life is in danger having her contractionally obligated to survive makes no sense
Hope this is the last movie last two was not as good as original 4 films and only gets worst on second time watching them if there going to make scream7 make it good and make it the last !!!
I don't see how this is a good news for the franchise. What is the point of having Sidney's daughters as the new leads characters in future films? Having someone else aside from Sidney but still having her attached to the story? So why not having Sidney herself as the lead? Well, if they are afraid to have Sidney as the lead character for so many movies, just straight up come up with a completly different character already. Sam was great because while having her own story and capable of stand for her own, she still had a little link that connected her to Billy and, consequently Sidney and the whole franchise. This was the perfect balance. Another thing: Why can't just they look at this films individually? Why everything has to be part of a trilogy arc? Geez
Well her kids are totally new characters and also have that link to the past through Sidney that you said Sam had through Billy. This sounds like a really good transition away from Sidney in future films.
@@iamalijahmorton It's not the same. They are Sidney's daughter. The connection to Sidney is way stronger than the one Sam had. Can you think in a reason for Ghostface tackling Sidney's daughter that doesn't involve Sidney as well? Sam could have her own films without Sidney without a problem because she was distant enough of Sidney for that being possible. Having her own daughters as new leads is not passing the torch. They can hold the torch but Sidney will still be there, close to them, being illuminated by the light of the torch. The idea of passing the torch to her own children is not even possible as if we watch a movie with her daughters being attacked, what would be the reason for Sidney not interfering in the story, trying to save them? The only reason I think of is killind Sidney in 7, which I highly doubt. So we would still see Sidney just like in 4 and 5 and (and in 6 if Paramount had payed her what she deserved) in that role of "helping the new generation". It is tired already. Let Sidney have her own movie, about herself or no film at all, with indepedentent characters that has little to no connection to Sidney taking the role of the lead character
@@danielcm4237 As a student of screenwriting, I can think of plenty of ways to keep Sidney in the picture, but at bay. Her daughters could grow up and blame her for Ghostface attacks, then not want anything to do with her even if she tries to help. Contrast their relationship with that of her and Maureen as well as set up a new arc that closes on a good note and doesn't involve Sid being the main target. Since Sidney is hated in this one, have her framed and charged, which she ultimately prevails. I do agree with you that it's the same song and dance and the franchise needs something to spark new life into it, even if it is just on a dramatic level. Sidney, however, doesn't have to die and still could have her happy ending before we move away from her and her kids. Ultimately, I think we all need to watch the film before jumping to conclusions because all of this is just rumor at this point (passing the torch to her kids) lol. It sounds to me that they're going to have a family trilogy with Sidney and her family, then wrap them up completely from the franchise.
@@iamalijahmorton None of your ideas fit well to me, neither this rumor of "her being hated" (as if we hadn't had this idea in the lastest Halloween trilogy). They all put Sidney in a misery place that she doesn't deserve to be. In my humble opinion, her best possible ending is the one that already happened, in Scream 5. Her facing her last Ghostfaces in the house where it all began, leaving the house triumphantly, and actually passing the torch to someone else. And beside that, she already passed the torch, it would be so weird to see it being done again. But, yeah, I also think we just gotta have to wait and see
@@iamalijahmorton what's your thoughts on the movie taking place at the same time as scream vi? Perhaps that could be the most suitable storyline for scream 7 as of now because we know the core four isnt coming back for sure so there has to be a good excuse for not having them back and what better way to do that than to have the events of both scream 6 and 7 occurring simultaneously. With Gale being the only returning character from 6, she could have a minor role such as a cameo, her phone call with sidney or just being on the news.
This definitely sounds interesting, and it makes sense. It's also how I would continue to own Scream movies in the future. Keep the Prescott legecy alive.
Its a unique idea as after 5 years. It would be interesting why another ghostface attack is being done as wayne and his kids wanted revenge for richie.
Another trilogy? Again with Sidney as one of the main characters? Sorry, i get tired just picturing this. Maybe it's just time to let this franchise die. Nothing against Neve, Courtney or any other actors involved, but... I think the topic, so far, is wrought out. I was addicted to 1-4, gave 5 a chance despite thinking "really?!" and was surprised how good it is. Cant judge on 6, didnt watched it yet. But the more films come out... yahh... Idk. Give Sidney and Gale and Sam and all the others their well deserved rest from Ghostface. Let them live their lifes happy and in peace.
I think the scream franchise can be now based on Sidney & her kids since we are now in a different era I think they need shakes things up a bit letting Sidney daughters takes the big spot light !!
Time jump, a possible new tv show, another trilogy... I think that we might have a bit of saturation of the franchise near. I grew up watching Scream, but the most fun part was seeing the meta commentary in different moments. Hope that this aspect don't get lost.
Scream 1: first-half early 1996 in sophomore high school. Scream 2: second-half 1997 in freshman college. Scream 3: 2000 with Sidney in witness protection under a new name. Scream 4: first-half early 2011. Sidney would likely have birthed her eldest child this year after these events with with Mark in late 2011. Scream 5: second-half late 2020. Not too far off from the 25th anniversary of Scream 1. Scream 6: October 2021. Scream 7: likely second-half late 2026 with Sidney's oldest child being 15 years old.
5:06 I think they need to stop at 7. There's no need for the franchise to continue. The realism Scream 1996 had has been stripped away for the sake of making Scream a cash cow.
I actually love this idea! I mean, a 5 year jump from the events of 6 obvs takes us to 2028... If this new trilogy is made in quick succession film by film, then the final installment should bring us to 2028! Or near as dammit, depending on release dates. The new trilogy COULD be one ongoing story, 3 Ghostface attacks in a 12 month period. Perhaps 7 will take place early 2028, and will be a traditional Scream with a reveal and a seemingly concluded story, but will then obvs go into 8 with a new killer(s), 8 could mayyyyyybe have a sort of cliffhanger, then rap it up with 9 which continues where 8 leaves off. This is where the GF "cult" could come into play, 3 sets of killers organising a year of hell for Sidney's family and friends, with 9 taking place late 2028. This- in my mind- would supply us with a trilogy released over the next few years, and by the time 9 is released, it will be real-time for us! Plus, if the movies are made quickly, the cast will not age/change much, so the 12 month of hell story arc will be plausible, IF all 3 films are completed by maybe late 2026. Of course, this is just my little bit of working out, it's how I'd do it if this were my idea.
3:04 Ok, we don't need another teenager in the franchise. That trope is older than time itself. It's more ballsy to have a 10 year old than a teenager, plus it's not ofter you see a child in danger in a horror film. It would make things more intense, The Collector (best horror movie of all time) did this and it was executed very well. Personally I'm tired of the teenage horror especially when they love to sexualized teens (for some reason) It's disgusting.

I have no issue with Syd & her kids to have the spotlight. But y’all not abt to tell me Gale is gonna pop up in the next movie just to NOT mention literally almost dying in NYC. Y’all can have little mentions that connect the franchise, without naming characters.
IMO make the movie set in 2025 or even 2026, depending on when it comes out, and let her oldest daughter have been born before the events of Scream 4 - about 2008 to 2009 qould be good - I mean it's not totally out of the picture for Sidney to go on a book toure while Mark watching the child(ren)... Is it a little odd she didn't say a word about her daughter during the events of Scream 4? Maybe, but they didn't even mention Judy's kid in Scream 4 (Wes) we he would've been aroun 7 or 8 during that movie Please don't argue with "Judy is less of a character than Sid" I know she ain't on her level but my point still stands
I feel like the leak is just wrong. The "time jump" is the kids are older and the movie will be set in present day. It's basically a retcon that the kids were born earlier.
I want the seriousness and brutality stepped up. Sydney hasn't really shown any fear since Scream 3. I feel more emotionally connected to her when it feels she's literally fighting for her life. That being said, I'd like to see Sydney get a phone call from Ghostface only to realize he's calling from outside one of her kid's school.
Such a risky idea. Not sure if I’d prefer it. Especially because it sounds like they’re kinda going in the direction they took the Halloween franchise. Which was kinda confusing and hard to follow. I love the idea of Scream leading into Sid’s kids. It makes sense to do it this way to keep the storyline going. But not this soon. I would love this 7-8 years from now when Neve is ready to put Scream behind her officially and have her kids be the new leads. And also have it tie back to the Core 4 storyline later on too. Just so it doesn’t feel like 5/6 never happened. Idk. I hope the time jump stays a rumor, but I’ll probably still enjoy it no matter what, cause it’s Scream lol
I dint know why they need to make a time jump. Sidney told dewey she was getting a run in before taking the girls to school so the baby in the pram wouldn't be at school yet!! So make Sidney have 2 older kids as well as a baby, it was never stated she only had 2 kids ( or did I miss that part) she could've had her first child in 2005 next one 2007 then a baby in 2019. I'm assuming Sidney was married in 4 it just wasn't mentioned.
To be honest they should have just did the whole trilogy thing with Sidneys family starting with Scream 5 introducing the new characters which would have been Mindy ,Sam ,Tara and Chad, doing the whole split story thing instead of doing the requeal route. Sidney's daughter would of been the main focus leading into 6 and 7 which part 6 of the story would have been similar to what we got but very different with Mark Kincaid being the detective which he would have become a FBI agent and he would of interviewed sam and tara instead of bailey Mark would of met Kirby reed which they would of been familiar with each other Kirby would ask how Sidney doing smh such a miss opportunity ....
With how every Scream movie in the past ties to the original killing(s) IMO I think 7 should take place around the anniversary Maureen's death. If Sid never talked about her around the kids much or neglected to because of the trauma it brings, having a new ghostface attack could open up the can of worms and show the girls why Sidney is the way she is. Could also explain why a lot of the neighbors don't like her and want her to get out of town.
When you have a group of people who are immediately expressing negative towards a time jump, it can make it difficult to wrap your mind around. However, this take makes sense and hopefully will help others understand more now. I think there is so much potential, especially given (if true) they want to carry out a new trilogy.
As long as we don't have to deal with Melissa Barrera and her bad acting, I'm down with scrapping the Core 4 completely! Chad should be dead, Mindy was annoying, Sam (Barerra) couldn't act better than a typical 3rd grader in a school play. Tara (Ortega) will be missed. She was the only one that brought anything to the franchise. Looking forward to seeing Sidney again!
Now this I’m all for. I was wondering how they would make it fresh with teens close to Sydney we didn’t wanna see little 9 year olds running around. They should make the oldest daughter the main character and her group of friends being attacked so it gives Sydney flashbacks. This makes the story fresh and young. Then to have her own mother fighting for her safety is gonna be iconic!
I actually love this idea because you still have Sidney be a major part of them film and it could be a whole legacy thing. Scream could do this much better that the new Halloween movies. I enjoyed the new Halloween movies more than most but they are not good sequels to the original Halloween. I think, so far, all the Scream movies have been good sequels to the original Scream. Having the new Scream sequels be more closely tied to Sidney just sounds amazing
I like a time jump. I feel like at least talking about the core four would be nice because 5 years could still bring them up even if it's subtle in like easter eggs like they did with kirby in 5. And to me sam should have always been billy and syds kid. I always had the idea that maybe she got pregnant after 1 and gave her up for adoption and never told anyone about it. Than that's how she would have had tara as a sister if she was adopted by her family. I think that's how it should have been to have an even stronger family connection and brought sydney into the movie more in 5 and even 6.
I’m not the biggest fan of a time jump cuz one thing The Scream Franchise is know for is it’s continuity, but after watching this video, I’d be fine with it. I really want this killer to be crazy and have a real motive vendetta against sidney. I wanna see ppl close to her dying again. I love the bad ass she’s become, but i wanna see her vulnerable and helpless again. Mark def needs to die. I want sid to have a bestie like tatum throughout the whole movie so we can really feel her pain when she dies at the end of the movie.
Rewatchability just isnt there with Scream 5 and 6 for me, hated 5 I didnt mind 6 when i first watched it but i watched it back and its just lacking something that the first 4 have, shows how good of a director Wes Craven was
When "The girls" were menationed i imagined there were two older girls and the baby in the stroller being the youngest i always imagined Sid and Mark probably had kids shortly after scream 3 after they got together but were never mentioned but scream 4 Sidney goes off on the boom tour i couldn't imagine her leaving the kids behind
I'm excited, it's seems to be going more and more the route I wanted it to with each rumor or tidbit that comes out. I wonder if Sidney's Dad will make an appearance as Grandpa.
Scream is set in 1996, the same year the movie came out, and is set 1 year after the murder of Maureen in 1995. Scream 2 was set 2 years after the original, so in our timeline it was 1997, but in Scream 2’s time line it was 1998. Scream 3 is set 2 years after the events of Scream 2 which is 2000 and it was also 2000 in our timeline. Scream 4 was set in 2011, 11 years after the events of Scream 3, the same year the movie came out. Scream 5 was set in 2021, 25 years after the original, and 10 years after the events of Scream 4, but it was 2022 in our timeline. Scream 6 is set in 2022, 1 Year after Scream 5, but in our timeline it was 2023.
I always thought Scream 3 was set in 1999. I only think this because Roman mentions that 4 years ago, he tracked Maureen down. She was killed in 1995. So, that would put Scream 3 in 1999.
@@DXChrisCross Scream 3 is set in 2000. As Tom Prinze says to Gale “ PoP Cutlure is the Politics of the 21st Century”. As in they are in the new century, in 2000. Yeah they messed up with Romans line, he should’ve said 5 years.
I think this sounds amazing! 5 years isn’t even that crazy. It’s long enough for the daughter to be older to play a pivotal part but not so long that Sidney or Gale would have to look “old”. You're right. Her family and kids should have ben the focus of 5. Billy having a daughter was dumb. He was obviously involved with Stu.

That would kick ass, H20 is my favorite Halloween movie.
I was thinking exactly the same 💯
True. Even there were several films centered around Laurie Strod's daughter in the Halloween franchise. A little similar to Sam, too. I can see the Scream franchise going this route.
Especially if they ignore S5 and S6... and give us a new time-line
@@LukeDodge916I’m completely down with that, but at the same time, they can just keep the same timeline. Aside from Dewey’s death, the Scream 5 and 6 events weren’t that important and didn’t change anything in the overall story of the franchise.

It would be amazing to have Dewey return as faked his death to try and trick GF or get back with Gale. I know wishful thinking LOL
Although I did like 5, the storyline of Sidney’s daughter being the new final girl would’ve been better.
Couldn't Sidney have an older kid besides the baby from 5?
He mentioned one was born in 2013 and anther in 2015, allegedly, at 2:10
You don't need a time jump for Sidneys kids.
I want the original cast included also to keep the story going to not lose everyone’s story from scream 5 and 6
Looks like we wont be getting that
@@ismackshortkids well they will have to make the storylines even better
This means Ghostface wins.
go watch terrifer then
I personally in the long run pretty much don't care where they go with screen because it's not my money being wasted to make this happen.
On the one hand i hope Gale isn't in it since she couldn't possibly survive another attack but it wouldn't seem like a scream movie without her
I really hope they pay off the deleted idea of a cult ran by stu and coming after the daughter of the girl he always had a thing for could be interesting
Don't hate it. Not sold on it.
I really hope Zion will be Sidney’s daughter taking over.
this would be amazing but the casting has to be perfect
I hated Sam and her sister so I don't care
Personally, I say that there is nothing stopping them from saying that at least one of Sidney's daughters was born prior to Scream IV. At the same time, 12 year-old horror protagonists aren't unheard of. So things could really go either way. That being said, yes. Yes, I would very much like to see a more "true" next gen scream. As much as I love the "core 4", we're just going to have to wait another day to hear more about them... hopefully.
Ya it's weird considering her eldest can be in her early 20s. Not sure why they gave her a baby in 5
Honestly great news.
I’ll wait to see what happens in the movie. But super excited for more scream
Can't wait to see what sids daughters iPhone 19 pro looks like
I know this was a joke but don’t forget - no iPhones in scream movies ;)
@@coachburke9145 that's true. Used Samsung's in scream 5 and 6
@@BrutallyHonestDave iPhones can’t be used by any characters who act violently….
Scream needs to change and move on
So Scream 7 would be set in 2027 then.
Which would make Sidney’s oldest 14, Sidney’s youngest 7, and Sidney’s 2nd child 12.
2028, 6 was set in 2023 so add 5 years would be 2028 making her daughter's 15, 13 & 8

Would be dope to have sydney being the opening kill hiding and protecting her kids then the time jump to when her kids are a little older.
Never going to happen! Neve has in her contract that Sidney can’t die!!
@CarlosRuiz-fh5on I doubt it would be a pretty dumb contract considering as fans were supposed to care when her life is in danger having her contractionally obligated to survive makes no sense
Don’t doubt it it’s public knowledge. You can look it up. Neve wouldn’t sign on if the script said she dies.
It would go down like John Connor in Terminator Dark Fate. Sydney can never be the opening kill.
I prefer her kids to be 8-12. The teen stuff is getting old.
I want the original cast back but with a new story line. 🎉😂❤😊
I think this is a great route this movie will take franchise. I'm interested in seeing how this will play out.
I agree with you
I love the time jump aspect. So many different directions to go in with new trilogy.
I think the scream franchise can be now based on Sidney & her kids since we are now in a different era I think they need shakes things up a bit letting Sidney daughters takes the big spot light !!
I think it sounds great😊😊
Time jump, a possible new tv show, another trilogy...
I think they should open the movie with Sidneys murder and then watch her daughter go through the same thing that Sidney went through
5:06 I think they need to stop at 7. There's no need for the franchise to continue. The realism Scream 1996 had has been stripped away for the sake of making Scream a cash cow.

Sorry that I rather see the money spent on these movies put to actual good use 🤷🏽♂️.
I want to see neve different movies now she's done her time with Scream
It's particularly disgusting when they cast actual teenagers.
Looking at you Chucky the tv series.

Why not just time jump the kids age? I’m worried that time jumping everyone will take away the chance to make references to current horror films.
I have no issue with Syd & her kids to have the spotlight. But y’all not abt to tell me Gale is gonna pop up in the next movie just to NOT mention literally almost dying in NYC. Y’all can have little mentions that connect the franchise, without naming characters.
IMO
make the movie set in 2025 or even 2026, depending on when it comes out, and let her oldest daughter have been born before the events of Scream 4 - about 2008 to 2009 qould be good -
I mean it's not totally out of the picture for Sidney to go on a book toure while Mark watching the child(ren)...
Is it a little odd she didn't say a word about her daughter during the events of Scream 4? Maybe, but they didn't even mention Judy's kid in Scream 4 (Wes) we he would've been aroun 7 or 8 during that movie
Please don't argue with "Judy is less of a character than Sid"
I know she ain't on her level but my point still stands
Scream 7 Generation, time jump will be confusing cause reality isn't here yet
This sounds interesting but I really hope it doesn’t get messed up
Here for it
With how every Scream movie in the past ties to the original killing(s) IMO I think 7 should take place around the anniversary Maureen's death.
JAJAJAJA that’s funny, tell another one ❤
I agree with 99% of this statement.
Even Ortega was a disappointment. She just keeps playing the same character every single time.
Who’s to say you won’t get bad acting as the movies go forward?
@@professorfreeman1648 We may, but we know what we were getting if we repeated with the same 3 mistakes.
I'd like to see cailey fleming play sid daughter later on future scream 7 if they do a time jump?
I actually love this idea because you still have Sidney be a major part of them film and it could be a whole legacy thing. Scream could do this much better that the new Halloween movies. I enjoyed the new Halloween movies more than most but they are not good sequels to the original Halloween. I think, so far, all the Scream movies have been good sequels to the original Scream. Having the new Scream sequels be more closely tied to Sidney just sounds amazing
Scream 7 means the entire series is about Sidney. IMO, Sidney centric movies going forward make it hard to ever have new stars stalked by Ghostface.
I’m just sad that after Scream 7-8-9 come out Scream 5 and 6 will be put on the side by the fans and i hate it bc i liked Scream 5 and loved 6
I heard in a deleted scene and possibly in the film if I remember correctly the dad of sidney presscot passed away in the film which being scream 4.
What if they kill Sidney and leave her teenagers to fight off Ghostface, kinda like scream 1. That way, they can start a new timeline…
I want all original cast from the past of her love ones and her enemies as haunted ghost's
This is epic and I’ve said this before her children would carry the legacy on

Im honestly hype for the time jump. Im always down for more Scream films and ofc more Sidney and her family (legacy)
I hope this film has a scream 4 vibe. I think it would be really fun.
They have the perfect opportunity for a 30th anniversary movie and they do this!?
Can't wait to see Sydney again I didnt even watch 6 because she wasn't in it

I think one of her daughters is gonna be the new final girl
That sounds like a great idea as long as Sidney will be in it I will be happy 😊❤
