Yeah im loving it, just bought the adventure module Saga of the Giants and am reading through that one one too. Every time I order something on amazon im tacking one of these books onto my order now . haha
Nice review! I especially like the art from page 1 of the Adventure Anthology Vol. 1 for some reason... Just ignore the bunk beds on p.53, and watch them zombie murder hornets on p.80!
Great video. Field Guide 3 is still in active development and will need many more monsters and a lot of artwork before it graduates from "Showcase" to the approved Downloads page.
@@evilzombie As an open source project, we work on Basic Fantasy RPG in our spare time, but we're also keen to release our work-in-progress for people to playtest. I think you'll agree it's better to have a "beta" version of FG3 to play with than to have to wait for the final release. For example, my book of NPCs ("Chrysogon's Coterie") has a completed cover but is otherwise text-only in its current development state. The future releases will slowly add ~150 pieces of interior art selected by me and the editing team.

Basic Fantasy is one of the best old school games out there. Since its a basic d20 game you can use all the old TSR stuff and tons of newer OSR products. Im interested in seeing you custom DM screen
Can't flash WhiteBox without a shout out for arguably the MOST D&D game out there that doesn't have the double D on the cover. I'm a fan of Basic Fantasy and think Chris and crew have done a good thing by keeping gaming available to EVERYONE! But I love Whitebox! If one morning I woke up and my game shelf was empty I'd be bummed but not devastated because I don't play those games and WhiteBox lives on my desk!
The author decided to use "they" when referring to a character instead of he/she, or using "he" for a character and "she" for the referee, which is even worse. I believe the author took the right decision and do not consider this woke at all.
Yeah think he did I know that people at OSE are woke but are smart enough not to bring it into their game. Everyone has right to their opinion but don't think basic fantasy guy is woke just doesn't have balls to stand his ground.

Oh cool, I look forward to the future releases then. I'm still pretty new to basic fantasy rpg so I'm getting g used to how it's updates go.

The game is highly adaptable and hackable as well. You can really bolt things on (say from OSE, Rules Cyclopedia, or whatever). Super cool.

Good streamlined D&D game. I heard the author went woke with pronouns with the 4th edition. Woke = crap.
