No, I won't put it on thingiverse until I'm fully happy with it, and I've not worked on it for a while as I got sidetracked. I'm not sure what you mean by direct drive? the larger wheel drives the accelerator wheel which drives the spindle. I got the noise level as low as I could by using bearings on the 2 drive wheels, and a bit of PTFE bowden tube where the spindle sits to minimise friction.

Are any of your prototypes up on thingiverse? For 3D printed, that’s really quiet! Is it also a direct drive? If so, then WOW on the low sound level?
