Alex, like that boat. After all your reviews, I listened to you, and bought, a boat, that fits all my needs. Love my kayak. And its my 2nd season, fully on the water. Last summer took the end of the season, to get used of my baby. I did install a feel free side transom mount, and a brand new leftover 2019 Suzuki 2.5 4 stroke outboard, in the box for $400.00. But I'm in the Northeast and can't find a simple flag pole with a 360 lite. We don't have any kayak shops, there's one 120 miles away. And we're called the ocean state. Great review. If you find a spare 360 flag pole, on your 20 kayaks, don't be afraid to send one. 🤣🤣 Lmao..Gonna have to DIY one 🤔 be safe bro. 🚣♂️🤟🙏🎣
Nice lil kayak...cool to see the prices of the pedal kayaks coming down a bit allowing more people to get into kayak fishing. Its a different world once your out of miami...lol.
My only Complaint with this kayak is that the metal that the pedal drive sits in to hold it bows when I pedal fast. Also, the bolts in the pedals and the rudder come loose. I just put loctite thread locker paste in them to keep them in there. Other than that it’s a good kayak I don’t regret it
You ever Kayak out along 75 in Alligator alley? Looked good along there on our drive from Tarpon Springs to Islamorada. You could get some good video along there with the gators. Saw some people in boats, kayaks, and jet skis. Must be some good fishing there. What cart was that?
I do like it, but its a little bit of a bummer it doesnt already come with tracks and rod holders. I decided on the hoodoo tempest 120p. Only 1199 and it has great features. Though i did add something like $800 in mods. Lol
I went with the hoodoo tempest 120p as well... hopefully it will ship soon. What mods did you get? I thought the trolling motor option was relatively cheap. Might jump on that later.
@@michaelsy i got the top mounted rudder, the low pro gear tray, the yak power night fishing kit (plus $150 installation) and the yak power battery box. I dont like the idea of the trolling motor mounted in place of my pedal drive. My goal will be to get a bixby jet on the rudder in like a year or 2. That way i can power out to my spot, pedal around and power back
Great Vid!! I can see alot of potential for additions and personaliztion to make it perfect for a fishing rig. It would do right out of the plastic. But its a diamond in the rough. Rod holders, bungees, and tracks would make it perfect. The drive looks fairly sturdy and the tankwell genreous. It has much potential as a fishing kayak. The price is a great selling point for budget minded buyers. What kind of warranty does the drive and hull come with?
@@AliexFolgueira yeah I know, just want say hi and watched alot of your videos. I just have a $400 Lifetime Tamarack pro, it's good for small lakes , ir fits on J bars ok and about to install a Garmin Striker 4 plus. Still a little chilly in Ohio now. Taking up to the calm waters in the harbors of Lake Erie this spring.
I sold my 3 waters big fish 120, and thought about a pelican pedal drive. Bought a Jackson Coosa FD instead. Glad I did. I probably would’ve broke the drive system first time out. The flex drive is legit for rivers or shallows.
ok, you have tried so many different kayaks with PD and etc... which one do you think is the best PD kayak for the money with budget? Have you tried BKC PK 14?
Alex what do you recommend am leaning towards the old town 106 MK or the hobie outback I just want something that is going to last good quality the scare with the motor having issues in the future and cost a lot to fix when the drive will be cheaper to buy parts what’s your thought like you have the opportunity to try then both already
Not bad, but I almost feel like it would be way more worth it to spend the extra money and go with a top water PDL if you can find a sale. Looks not quite as stable and I feel the setup is way better. At any rate, thanks for posting the video! Was curious as I am looking for one for my wife to run alongside my 106MK
I’m just curious about what’s cheap? This kayak lists for 1600-1700 bucks, not cheap by average standards at all. Love your vids and channel keep on keepin on mane
A video like this makes me think again about getting a kayak.
Did you get it
I just bought 1 and can't wait to try it out! 😁 thank you for the review since this is my first pedal driven boat!
Congratulations 🎉 I hope you have a great time with it

Auburndale is so small you will never forget where you parked . :) good review
Heheh true
You've convinced me, picking one up tomorrow for $800
Nice!
Always enjoy these on the water tests. Love the kayak cart
So much fun and relaxing time haha I was there for 30 mins then came back with another kayak
I was gonna get this one from academy. I fell in love with the kaku zulu though. Extra 700 for pedal system lol
are you getting the Zulu ?
I remember me telling you to make a review about this kayak, well here it is 👍🏽
I got the crank. Love to see what it takes to flip. Stand in it all the time, feels pretty stable.
This one got sold hehe they move quickly, yak supply is so low I doubt I will get many new boats this year
so you still have your crank?
Love all the reviews! Have you done one on the BKC (Brooklyn Kayak Company) pedal drive kayaks? Checked your videos, I just might be missing it!
That seat looks great! Nothing worse than a seat slip sliding around when you want to pedal faster.

Love your videos, one suggestion I have is mount your GoPro rig under your PFD, if you go over its not going to allow you to inflate it properly,
i should make that video, im gonna flip a kayak with that jacket with gopro and remote see what happens

How do you like this compared to the pilot?
you prefer this or hobie passport 10.5?
I’m thinking if I can find one this is it for me
Can someone tell me what the reflectors on the pedals are for?
Did you ever get this to do a full demo
Like flipping it?
@@AliexFolgueira yup
Do you trust the drive on that? I'm looking at the Recon 120 but the drive..not too many videos on that drive.
It is the same drive as the recon and pescador pilot, they had issues way back but I think they fixed them all now
quality cheap too?
There are priced $1700 now where I'm at

I wonder if the dolly was still at the ramp when he got back.lol
I was wondering the same thing when I was watching! Lock it up or it's gone.
How does it compare to your early model pilot 12 ? Top speed? Rough waters?
the pilot 12 is a much way better boat
@@AliexFolgueira thanks!
Do you prefer the pedals like this drive system or ones that use fins? I see this type and it always looks so much easier to get and stay moving.
Bike prop for the win

The pelican hdii is a more feature rich boat than the pelican perception crank... I would only get the crank if you want instant reverse
I can see my phone slip out of my hand right into that hole by the drive C'mon man,
