Hi - great instruction!! Regarding proper release, is supination or rolling of the forearms not good? What is the “correct” release movement for the wrists ? I’ve seen many instructors say to get your wrists to touch (via supination). Thanks!!
From the top, the shoulder socket moves towards the ball of the lead foot while at the same time the ball of the shoulder externally rotates. This will move the bottom of the humerous (elbow) more in front of the belly button while allowing you to maintain the extension within the trail wrist. At this point, and to your question, the face is open so how do we manage this? Due to the elbow being inside the frame of the body, you can manage the extension in the trail wrist through supination while the right side of the body drives the trail elbow forward and the trail forearm pronates the face back to square. Hope this helps, all the best.
I found the video quite interesting. Pivot driven versus an arm (throwing) driven swing is an endless discussion of UA-cam. Some instructors promote a pivot driven swing advising that the worst thing that can happen to the club on the downswing is to have it tumble out. The motion that you advocate in this video is a throwing motion that requires that the club tumble. This motion often will require the golfer to early extend during the downswing. Personal experience is that this swing model can be quite effective but that the golf ball direction isn't quite as predictable compared to a pivot driven swing.
I am not advising what you have suggested. Simply discussing the role of wrist. Would be difficult to the in the ground force game without teaching a pivot. All the best, but please see other videos which try to deal with one topic at a time. All the best.
Very nice explanation. My wrists droop to much due to shoulders firing to soon. Dynamic lie is the only thing I think about. I love the hand path thought…very Malaska-esque! Thanks!
Thank you. Another thought would be looking at your left hand grip. Players getting the left heel pad pressed against the top end of the golf club grip tend to start locked in ulnar deviation (droop) and struggle to get our of this position. Might be what sets the wrist free.
Great explanation! You simplified a confusing area of the swing for me! Holding on or handle.dragging takes too much practice and gives you golfers elbow!
Pure gold! You’re an excellent communicator! I’ve never heard anyone explain this nearly as well as you’ve just done here!
Thank you, glad to found the information helpful. All the best!

Great explanation! Too many vids out there saying exactly what you covered. Thank you.
Thank you, glad you found the video helpful.

Also one of the greatest killers of speed. Glad you enjoyed the video!
