We've only learnt basic words up until then. She was VERY strict. Her name was Kukucska, which is basically Mrs. Peeping, so we called her Peeping lol. I almost peed myself on those German classes from laughing. One time Peeping barged into our chemistry class to take my classmate and my male chemistry teacher Tibor was like "Forgive me but ..." and she said "There'snoforgiveness." Like in one word and she was dead serious and gone in a second. You should've seen Tibor's face lmao.

I had a feeling it was because i knew that we spoke spanish before it was taken out of our class for some reason..the reason i believed i could get the hang of speaking spanish at such a young age is that some or many spanish words are very similar or the same to what we use in our language. If you're wondering, im from the Philippines and our elderly still can speak spanish and i felt like missing out..

It depends on the country, in the US toilet sounds nasty whereas in the UK is the way to ask. In Spain we say baño, aseos o servicios 😅👍🏻

Toilet sounds better as bathroom suggests taking a bath or a shower and restrooms sounds like the side of a motorway (highway). He escuchado “aseos “ en España

In Spanish class everyone remembers at least how to say bathroom but people usually don’t wanna say it so they use it before class

“Mhm can you wait 5 minutes?”

The interesting aspect of English/Spanish classes between the US and Mexico is that the teachers are either American Hispanics or they are each other’s nationalities, a lot of Americans giving classes in private schools in Mexico and a lot of the Spanish teachers are Mexican Americans or Mexicans in the US border towns
