Hi everyone,
Hope you all enjoyed the holidays and happy new year. 🪩 With that being said, a new year means new music. My new single “Birthday Blues” is finally out. 🎂💙
I wrote the song back in the summer of 2023. The idea came to me while I was in the car and when I got home I finished the lyrics. I then took time away from working on it since I was working on other songs of mine. As the new year was approaching and a new year means another round of birthdays, I thought this song would be perfect to release in the beginning of the new year. A time where most people reflect on their life. 6 months later, I thought it was also fitting to release the song on my birthday.
I wanted to write a birthday anthem for anyone who has ever felt sad around the time of their birthday. Whether it’s because of the fear of aging, another year of not accomplishing one’s goals, or because of societies ridiculous expectations. I hope it gives comfort and reassurance to people struggling to celebrate their birthday. ❤️‍🩹
