I have the full yoshi exhaust on mine and it's 10/10, looks wise it's the best. Only gripe it makes the bike sound more harleyish /dirt bike than a sport bike
Haha the shit runs lean even with stock exhaust. I think a lot of after market exhaust companies say stuff like that because they figure most customers won’t know the difference anyway, or really even care even if they do. They’ll think the spits and pops on downshift are kooooool
Its does run lean you need add fuel.controller like rapid bike who make.bike rich in gas or remap ecu plus you need add air filter like k&n and if equipped with secondary air supply system for the catalytic converter you need block off valve plate or when decellerate the bike start pop up like crazy

Hi Yoshimura, do you have any info on the dB testing of this exhaust? I would love it for my Ninja 650 but not sure if will be legal in my country. Particularly i'd be interested in the dB output @ 4000rpm?
@@YoshimuraUSA thank you :) from New Zealand...our testing limit used to be 100dB @ 1meter but I believe recently updated to 97dB @ 1meter. So I think should be good with a db killer during testing time 👌
Does it have to be tuned? I just got mine a month ago it’s a 23 year model and I don’t want to void the warranty but I still want a loud clean exhaust I really don’t like the stock one
The shape and design of this bike is so good and sporty. Way better looking than Cbr650r in my opinion. But I still don't get why they choose to go for parallel twin. If it got Inline 4 or atleast inline 3,it would be perfect for me.
For fuel efficiency and weight saving .. also it is suited for practical riders .I myself have many different bikes I also own a cbr1000rr but this ninja 650 is my favorite bike of mine .. very fuel efficient and lightweight plus its comfortable .
Does this require a retune? I've read on forums that this is one of the few, if not the only bike "approved" by Kawasaki and wouldn't need a Power Commander or tune to run well
dont know if youre still looking, but it turns out there are no slip ons for this bike, full kits only. im guessing its because of where kawasaki placed the muffler
@@AudyT97 thank you. Had this bike a year now and still haven't put an exhaust on lol. Bike mechanics always told me I got the bike at the wrong time. Cus covid hit there wasn't really a production on slip ons. I'll get the full kit eventually.
Is there a slip on for this one? Or are there only full systems? If I wanted to install it myself, is it difficult to install a full system vs a slip on? I’ve only ever swapped sloping out on my r3 but I’m going to get a 2018 used ninja 650 soon, and the exhaust on it is stock.
Because the stock unit is one piece, we only make a full Race Series system. We can't speak to ease of installing it because we have no idea of you ability. We would recommend having a professional technician install it.
LOVE the stock exhaust. Hate the loud Yoshi. I like mufflers to do what they were designed to do and that is MUFFLE the loud exhaust noise. Yoshimura are designed for RACING not for public streets.

No. But we always recommend a good ear plug for long rides.
