Did you know, once you've got a bit of faecium, you can multiply it infinitely... either add oxygen --> 3x faecium, or turn it into mordite, then mordite + condensed carbon --> 4x faecium... cycle it round: infinite mordite, too! :-)

I work in a Microbiology lab as a trainee student, working directly with patient blood to check which bacteria is infecting a patient. Sometimes, the ID Machine we use detects a species called Enterococcus Faecium. Every time I see the ID, I think of No Man's Sky 🤣
As for this exploit, this is the closest we can come in a game to turning turds into gold 😁

300 x Solanium -> 150 x Fibrous Stew
Chronos gives (on average) for 10 = 667.5 nanites
... so for 150 you get 15 x 667.5 = 10,000 nanites
That's pretty impressive.
Working my way around the trays, Solarium is next for me I think.

That is a 💩 load of work to just get meat. I'll skip the first hundred steps and just use my minotaur laser and mow down thousands of defenceless little animals. It'll give me a 💩 ton more meat too but also complete cull animal quests too. 😊👍

I like the peaceful environmentally sound method shown here. Heartless and brutal travellers will skip the poo collecting part and just slaughter the animals and use the meat to make the mystery meat stew. More than one way to skin a tall cute geklike creature.

Thanks for the vids, you and the other major NMS streamers have really helped me get into this game. I hated it at 1st, I didn't know wtf to do lol.
I got really lucky and found several sets of these groups of a dozen petrified turd balls made of runaway mold (marked with the gold star resource tag in the scannner). There was about 60,000 runaway mold for each group and I found it on 4 or 5 different planets... so i'm pretty nanite-flush lol.
Love your acting! This will also be a nice supplement to my runaway mould refining... Can do the mordite while the other is refining... Help alleviate the boredom 😁

I recently got over 8k nanites feeding Cronus. I still dislike doing it. I've been experimenting with something I've never heard anyone doing. I've been placing a base computer by damaged machinery. Some of the damaged machinery gives S and A class upgrades. I had never thought about dropping a base computer by them before though. Now I have base computers by 3 of them So far every time I return I get an S class upgrade worth 480 nanites each. Or if you need them you can use the upgrade as it was meant to be used.

Another good method is finding a Droid planet and flying over it shooting all the droids in your ship.

Ah, I've been doing a similar strategy but just turning mushrooms/fungal mold into steamed veggies then into soup. It's always nice to discover a cheeky way to get nanites from a single ingredient you can farm en masse ^^

I just finished trading 297 stews not sure how long it took me, and made 19K nanites. Also people seem to like to stand in front of you so it slows a bit.Changing the option though doesn't remove the confirm from talking to the npc but makes it a little better if you don't want to use the keyboard to pick options so thanks again :)
earn more nanites, turn your mystery meat stew into herb encrusted flesh: gamma root in nutrient processor = sievert beans (1:1), sievert beans through nutrient processor again = steamed vegetables, steamed vegetables+steamed vegetables = flavoursome sauce, flavoursome sauce + mystery meat stew = herb encrusted flesh.
Cronos loves herb encrusted flesh and will give mostly good reviews.
Sounds a lot of faf, but while you're cooking with multiple processors it doesn't seem to add that much time and the extra nanites is worth it.
It's a funny way to make nanites but I can't stand these methods that involve turning in crafted products 1 at a time to a npc for 10 minutes +
i personally like making some flavored sauce to mix with the mystery meats before turning the foodstuff in

Good video - just wanted to add, that the way I do it, is to use the nutrient processor to combine the mystery meat stew with flavoursome sauce to create herb encrusted flesh. It seems to me that Cronus' reactions are random, but the further processing gets far more positive reviews (and more nanites).
I mine marrow bulbs as they are everywhere - these in the nutrient processor become marrow flesh. The marrow flesh becomes steamed vegetables. You then combine two stacks of steamed vegetables to create flavoursome sauce, which is then combined with the mystery meat stew to produce herb encrusted flesh.

Cool, so far I have tried cactus jelly (70 nanites avg) and mystery meat ( 65-70 average)
@@daymongray3516 There are all sorts of crazy recipes - while you can turn any of them in to Cronus for nanites, at some point, they are worth a LOT more in units...I haven't tried just turning the cactus jelly in, I might give that a go. 🙂

Even though they are computer generated I still feel bad about killing them.
You tend to get more Nanites for junking A-Class ships at a high turnover space station, and it's quicker. No faffing about or waiting for plants. Found a few Exotic S-Class ships by accident whilst doing that too. Once you've done the Maxxed Hauler full of Cobalt in a few systems (20-30) money is no longer an issue for the rest of the game.
Interesting idea though.

Nice. I just jumped into a system with a planet that has mordite deposits, so I know what I'm doing tonite.
Use an Autonomous Mining Unit if you want to mine that infinitely. Using the Terrain tool will only work once...

I was excited until I realized it was food.. lol I would rather hunt down a Curious Deposit and build a base/farm and refine Runaway Mold. I wish they would improve the feeding of Cronos.
I was already aware of this having 350 hours but just saying if you're gonna grow the faecium just grow mordite instead with mordite roots cos it skips a step

Yah killing creatures in nms is lame. They need like bosses or something. Need more to attack i think. (Just me personally opinion even if my newly started (month old) survival game i havent even really started to quest yet. Got so much to build!!!!)

Yeah did this with some food I made when I got bored one day and made a farm and got a bunch of baked eggs from it. Took like an hour and a half and 3 50 stacks of eggs but I got 10k nanites from this. Not the most fun way to earn nanites but hey it's there.
Oh crap. And now have pets, we can do that really effectively. Especially if you breed a giant.
Not sure if you'll see this or not but during all your cooking experiments have you ever found a food that when Eaten it has replenish your Shields

My golden world (Atze III, Alpha quadrant) has plenty of big guys to work this on! Unfortunately, it also has a tunnel wyrm that blocks out the sky as it leaps kilometers at a time and is kilometers large- that moves too fast to scan! Every time!
If anyone wants a public space to mine truly ridiculous amounts of cobalt, and carbon, Fleensb is located Radian 135, about halfway through the cloud at the base of the arm. It's also riddled with ancient bones and almost enough buried tech to not need a nanite farm.
Funnily enough I recently saw an article about, I believe, some Japanese scientists who had managed to turn poo into meaty flakes.

You have done a few of these and I saw one from someone else, which is all great but has anyone turned in every type of food in say chunks off 100 and worked out nanites per item?
I set up a little room on my freighter to do star bramble, I put down 11 single trays and 11 cookers and walked around the room collect 44 cooks 44 collect/cook repeat... Now I believe as I got to the end the first cooker was almost done, then around cooking 11 times I obviously had to wait a bit and harvest the final food I'm not sure maybe I spent 5 minutes but I never timed it and I got 484 Pilgrim's Tonic... I only turned in 84 because the Idea of turning in 400 more was too much :) Maybe I will turn 1/2 into Mordite plants. Thanks, sort off :)
Xaines World looked in the game code and come back with a tier system for how much they sell for. And the No Man's Sky Assistant App has all the values in for each food item.

Have you considered a game like Dyson Sphere Program? I like it a lot as a diet aid. I lost 5lb in 4-5 days cause I forgot to eat except supper for 4-5 days and I went down one belt loop!

I don't want to complain but man clean up your backpack, it looks like a child room that just throws everything on the floor and says yeah it good I can get in bed no worries. Now your backpack sucks, now maybe it is that way for some reason but I can't think of a good reason.
