This feature is something I wished returned in later games. It didn't have to come out of the Switch Joycons or Pro Controllers, but it would have been nice to have an option to hear voice clips from the characters. Simon can shout "Vanquish The Darkness!", Daisy can exclaim "Hi I'm Daisy!", Shulk can say "I'm really Feeling it!" Wii Fit Trainer can calmly say "Let us Begin", and Isabelle has to say something in Animalese. Please.

Fun fact: Wolf’s line is actually a nod to one of his most well known like from his home series: “Playtime’s over, Star Fox!” He even says the full line in Brawl and Ultimate if he wins against Falco or Fox!

Kirby's "HIIII!" is so iconic, I loved hearing it even back when I didn't know who Kirby was, little did I know that that delightful little voiceclip would spark a deep love of the Pink Puffball and his friends for the rest of my life.

7:50 In Japanese the phrase is "Kakugo Shiro" (覚悟しろ！)is pretty common in a lot of Japanese action media and it's usually localized as "prepare yourself" or other similar phrases. It's the same with Kakatte Koi (かかってこい) which is kind of like "come at me", though the characters who say it usually don't say it the same way as there's some cultural subtlety that can't really be translated to English hence why everyone seems to use the same quote.
Man I miss wolf's Brawl voice. Don't get me wrong, his Ultimate voice is pretty good, but Brawl just had a perfect blend of arrogance, competence, and intimidation.
The VA for Wolf actually goes to my church, he’s a really chill down-to-earth guy! When they had him re-record for Ultimate they wanted a different take on the character as his design had changed, that’s likely why he sounds different

Yeah, I miss the more normal but chill voice he had in Brawl. Ultimate went a bit too hard in the gruff direction and it just sounds less badass. I was shocked to learn it was the same VA tho, for a while I didn’t think it was Jay Ward

I personally think the Sonic and Pikmin sound effects deserved more respect. Sonics is his end of stage music, and implying that the match is already over like it was just a sonic stage, as his character select sound is really funny to me.
Pikmin's is really good, I'm surprised you didn't notice it was literally olimar plucking them out of the ground and calling them to attention, preparing for battle. This one makes a lot of sense and works really well. Should've ranked in A tier Imo.
2:49 This should be higher, in my opinion. In Pikmin 1 and 2, you'd pluck a Pikmin from a ground then whistle to get it following you, the exact sequence of sounds we hear. I see it as Olimar quickly prepping for battle before the fight begins.
Schaff's random and unexpected rankings are probably one of the more exciting videos to come out aside from movie//tv show/game analysis/review

The *BEST* use of the WiiMote speaker in general? No More Heroes, Sylvia calling you on her cellphone giving you extra context for the boss was an amazing detail.
Honorable mention to Guitar Hero 3, having the controller speaker giving you feedback when you mess up a cord was and still is hilarious
I honestly liked the audio feature in the wiimote. It made for a lot of opportunities, but No More Heroes and Silent Hill Shattered Memories made the most use of it and the wiimote in general without being too gimmicky or intrusive
The simplest and yet most hype use of the Wiimote speaker was Silvia's calls in No More Heroes. The raw intimacy of the call about such mundane themes just before a duel to the death is pure cinema.

For those of you wondering what that primate was at 0:52 it is a siamang, a type of gibbon or lesser ape. It is the largest gibbon species and has a gular sac under its throat that it uses to amplify its calls.
Wish they could bring back this minor feature so they can do very crusty sounds for Steve or Banjo&Kazooie

Always found it fascinating some Wii sound clips use voices from Melee, even if the character got a new voice in Brawl (ie Ganon, Peach, Bowser - last one uses different stock sounds but same thing).

I'm pretty sure that this is picking a pikmin and whistling/swapping it (down b), doesn't seem like a random selection of sound effects to me.
Wolf's one is also good because it can also been seen as a reference to Star Fox 64 where he says "Play time is over Star Fox!"

It's so weird that a lot of the Wiimote sounds are voice clips from Melee. Makes me wonder if that was a feature they added super early on and didn't update the voicelines of the veterans
What I always loved about R.O.B's soundbite in brawl was that it sounds like it's saying "Let's go" but without actually saying any word as it doesn't speak. Please tell me I'm not the only person who hears it

Ah, Wolf bring back good memories of brawl. One of my favourites to play as due to how hard his hits seemed to be; easily able to launch just about anyone even at low damage. This was a stupid idea, and a very enjoyable one at that!

Those low quality wii remote sound effects are absolutely nostalgic for me, I still remember my parents buying Brawl for me and my first pick was Meta Knight. I had NO idea what he was even saying, I didn't really care though because I thought he looked cool.

Ganondorf’s Wii Remote sound actually has a bit of history, it was an unused clip from Melee with filenames that suggested it was intended for Melee’s scrapped incarnation of Final Smashes.
I really hope switch 2 has these speakers on the joycons but they start to “drift” meaning they progressively sound more and more torturous
The Switch controllers already have speakers. Kirby Star Allies even plays music with them for a short section. Most games however use them to shake the controller violently. Yes, I'm talking about HD Rumble.
