Awesome game guys! I think there was one small mistake, I can't tell if the Vigilator had joined the unit of Recon Marines or if he was seperate. If he had joined them they actually do not get the benefits of Skirmish, since he himself does not have it, at least I assumed that was why the cover was 4+ instead of 5+. I ran into the same thing, it's weird since it seems like he would fit perfectly with a squad of snipers!

Really nice report, lovely armies and looked fun, some cinematic moments also. Main rules things have already been covered, but the banestrike shotguns were the main one, they were played at 2 shot S5, breaching 5+, concussive whereas they're actually S4, Breaching 6+ shred, so actually pretty decent at ripping chunks out of a primarch. You also can't fire the wail and shotguns at the same time, so pick 2 models to wail with, and use the shotguns for the rest.
I recognise those Alpha legion fellas! Gorgeous armies and a great battle report! :D

On the Effrit unit, two bits:
-What rule are you seeing that allows them to fire both the Hydra's Wail AND their shotguns? It's listed as a weapon - wouldn't they need Firing Protocols to fire both? (One or two could just fire the Wail, and the others the shotguns - that seems to be the intent.)
-The banestrike shotguns are Breaching (6+), and have Shred. So may have been a misreading of that profile.

Ooo also, just want to say that scenario seemed AWESOME. Love the progressive scoring, and it made for an extremely dynamic game!

The mission was loads of fun Chris did a great job writing it. Loved to fact you could lose your points as well. Made it a tense game. (Sean)
Really good comment about the Firing Protocols. My apologies to Sean and all viewers. As it happens, they didn’t do a great deal anyway!

That was a really swingy game. I thought a side was knocked out 3 or 4 times.

What way does the camera work need to improve. We always are looking at ways to make our reports better
@@RiftForgeStudio nothing major, there were a few moments where you missed dice rolls because the camera was too high/low no biggy, and a few occasions you panned to/from the dice tray to action to fast , which blurred the shot and missed things as you were speaking. Nothing terrible, not helped by the fact I'm sensitive to fast motion... 🤪
We will work on it. It's difficult doing two things at once 🤣.

Sanguinius can’t use the advanced reaction as far as I know as he isn’t an infantry unit. A great batrep though. Really enjoyed watching.

the command squad with sanguinius cant take jumpacks because sanguinius does not have one... most people use the ofanim court

Good game, just curious as to why the Deredeos were acting as one unit? Like contemptors they only deploy as a Talon then act independently after the game begins.

No they are not. That was my mistake. I was getting confused with vindicators
Really enjoying this Bat-Rep. Curious, has the rules for the Effrit Cadre shotguns changed? I can't find it in the FAQ, but you'd forgotten Shred, and it was Breaching (6). Or am I missing something? lol
Looking into Alpha Legion to try something completely different than I usually do, so I'm becoming very interested in the Alpha Legion units and rules, all that misdirection etc. etc. 😁😅

When u use Miss mash dice I always see people role bad. ALways use 1 color for the dice u roll. I know it's superstition but I've seen it too often occur

I have now rewatched this a few times. (Obviously enjoy it) And still don't get how what feels like a majority of the AL seems to have bs5. Anyone care to enlighten me?
A fair few of the units were head hunters if I remember correctly. Which all have bs5 and then with the dreadnoughts all having bs5.

11:35 you can't take damage mitigation rolls before armor saves p. 173 & 174
You're right. Although in this instance it didn't make any difference as all rolls were made and there wasn't any tanking on artificer armour or anything like that

Thanks. The librarian was made from the new praetor in the Horus box set and converted using sanguinary guard bits and zephons head

Effrit Disruption Cadre came out as an ‘Exemplary Battles’ unit for the Alpha Legion in November. They’re a fun little unit which I’m still learning how best to make work!

Do u use discord or anything would love to discuss army building . Im new to playing but I have over 15k in points army wise since I build , convert amd paint prior to playing but I only built 30k alpha legion
