James H, I usually ask this question on UA-cam under some good quality DIY stuff. The reason I've never searched for this here is that I'm fullfilled with my BURN EPs and CDs :) One of the best hardcore-punk bands E.V.E.R.!!!!!!!!!!!
No really . Grew up listening to this classic era of hardcore, random question, that super creepy image on the back of the album, does anyone know where that's from? I remember seeing something like it in some old sixties protest footage but its hard to find google wise, any input would be appreciated!
this depression is haunting me i can’t break free and i can’t be me i don’t know what to do because there is no escape from your grasp and you’ll squeeze me until i ooze from the cracks, but i come back for more some strange magnetism drawing me to your core i’m not capable of hate so it seems, but i’m getting closer close enough to realize the pain caused it seems to me that i’m not to blame though my tears fall like rain i’m drowning in a sea of emotions and i’m trapped by my actions i’m falling prey to my emotions what builds my feeling are the stones from which you build a barrier between you and me un-needed and not wanted. a mental wall banishing me from you i must destroy this wall allowing us to see each other for what we could be or could have been as a unit
How can there be no comments on this? This is the epicenter of awesome. I will never forget the first time I heard this... ever... HEAR ME!... IM CALLING OUT!... I still get chills...

I saw Burn at the Anthrax in CT. With Quicksand and no Escape. Earle 90’s for the first time and then many times after that. Mad love and respect for all of you out there that stayed true to your self. This band was and is still a game changer.
That’s an amazing line up! Love No Escape! Clearly love Quicksand and Burn. I mean it blows my mind that I was 14 years old in 1990 and in a matter of a few months I had The Burn 7” and the Inside Out 7”, Youth of Today and Ray and Purcell put out a mind blowing final 3 song ep that is also arguably the greatest HC release ever. Meanwhile, Shelter puts out a full album co written by Tom Capone and Judge “Bringing it down” was only a year old. All during that year every other month was suppose to be Turning Points last show but they’d either not show or kill it on stage. And yet another mind blowing release right during that year was the turning point no/escapes split. Pretty sure that was 1990 at least I remember getting it in 1990 and seeing Turning Point with Burn and Shelter in 90 in Philadelphia at the revival and all 3 bands were BEYOND amazing. Then I walk outside and Ray introduces me to Vic and Vic sells me the Inside Out 7” 😮 I go home and listen and couldn’t believe there was another band this good coming out of New York! Even though half of the band was from California! 😂 and then it gets even better because I didn’t realize the Drummer was also the same Drummer from Chain of strength who I loved and also from No use for a name! Oh, and let’s not forget that a few weeks later I’m at the local Kmart which is about a three minute walk from my house and I see Ray Capo! 😂 and he tells me I moved to the Mt.airy Temple which is about five minutes from my dad’s house! So now me and my buddies every Friday night are in 9th grade and 10th grade going to the temple to hang out with hard-core heroes learn about a religion and eat amazing food before we head to the city and act silly, or even better go to a Shelter show and hang out with my friends and have a blast. 90’s kids… What a blast!
this reminds me of the good old 90s of hard core now mind you I come from the maxs cbgbs days I was in a band with joey image before the fits well that's history now lets get back . the super bowl of hard core bands like d.action sick of it all the kids shows at cbs and that club below Essex st. where mdc played neal from u.k. worked there sarcasmwas a band he was in burn sfa damage were the bands of yesterday review by waltervon black aka walter volume or d.j. black static at time love the music out of darkness come the light
love this..thanx so much for the upload all my 7"s got warped from being in me moms attic...if u like this check out some orange 9 mm same front-man..miis the days sooooo much.
Great fucking record!!!! Despite your politics. Chaka was an amazing vocalists and made that stage show come out on that vinyl! And Gavin and Alan Cage. Sorry, don’t remember who was playing bass, no disrespect, he made it great too!!!! A classic 90’s record.

I can't be the only one who doesn't understand the hype behind this band, this is not bad but I was expecting a lot more from this band, I like the instrumentals but rambling lyrically delivery turns me off, still bought the EP on iTunes to support tho!
+newyork4311 oh of course my dude! Not tryna hate at all, I've slowly gotten into them a bit more since I commented, also checked out orange 9mm and that was pretty good
His writing was strong I feel. He spoke a lot about different issues all people can relate to. This EP is by far my favorite. 9mm is dope also, first album I feel is golden!! Seeing Burn down south in a few months. Haven't seen them since 97..
+Joel W This album could be considered way past my time and it's still one of my favorite hardcore EPs. The music itself has aged pretty well. It packs a ton of variety and the lyrics are top notch. While it's not a problem for me, I could see the production turning people off, however.
This is my all-time favorite HC album !!!!!
going down memory lane. great EP!
So glad they are playing black and blue bowl this year!!!!!
Best NYC/HC band ever. These guys still sound awesome even in 2021. Those drum sounds, damn.
Greatest 7" ever out of nyc!

Excellent hardcore band
Orange 9 was sick also
he does sound like gilbert gottfried
Oh Jesus, this can never be unheard. Thank you.
this ruined the record for me
i wish i hadn't read that
Haha record ruined
This album was theme music of my teenage years. Chaka Malik is one of the greatest singer/songwriters ever.
He writes fcee too. He's a grafitti writer
Check out Fire is Murder they have a singer who is kind of similar. Rare find.
The best 4 song ep ever recorded.
Best 3 song EP is Youth of Today's Disengage.
Inside Out the best 6 song?

Mike Chirillo I can't imagine him not singing it, but acting it out lol That would be fuckin' awesome
So insanely awesome
This is some of the hardest shit i've ever heard. Powerful!
