I never thought in my lifetime that ante post prices would look like greyhound prices. The new white paper could be the beginning of the end. Racing is heading in the wrong direction, All bodies are selling out the game, for short term profits. All sides should have an intervention and come up with a plan to save the sport.

The bookies have killed the anti post betting for Cheltenham just not worth it anymore ☹️
I had too bet before horses have ever jumped a fence or a hurdle in the UK too find value! It's dead from Xmas on imo
Not just ante post but overall! Imagine your more casual punter looking at the markets come the days before the festival & seeing the prices of many of the favs. Worth bearing in mind tho that the average SP of the winners at the last 5 festivals has been over 11/1 so not all is lost 👍

intelligent and informed as ever. And also realistic - you both know you might not be right about your calls eventually, but the thinking is transparent and reasonable, and apart from being a good listen, that sort of analysis is always likely to make money in the long run.

Gordon Elliott form really needs too improve! We are afew weeks away from the festival and he's 1-38 or something! If u have Elliot antepost bets( I don't have any Elliott horses luckily) I would be abit worried 😟

Ferns lock great chance
Took 20/1 on Ferns Lock a couple of months ago. Trainer says he doesn't want to ruin him by running in the Hunters at a young age. Way I see it he's just beat the reigning Hunters champion easily , how he'll be ruined I don't know 🤷♂️
Thoughts on St Donats in the Triumph ? Worth a small shot at 20s
Filey bay has a uk mark of 133 , so definitely needs to go up
Hard to see him not being very competitive NTO

I'm going across the sea for the Dublin Racing Festival in a fortnights time. Would you suggest going out after the racing in Leopardstown or Dublin? And if Dublin, where? (looking for somewhere other than Temple Bar for a change). Cheers.
Hi Steven, don't be in any rush to leave the course first is my advice. The music and the craic are always great. This will be my 4th DRF.

Great stuff lads, seriously worried about Gordon’s stable, nothing seems to be running well at the minute. Can see him having a barren festival if things don’t change
Yeah totally agree, he has a few today he needs a couple of winners to get me confident again

Of course they can Mr Girthy but I’d need to see it soon, which of Gordon’s horses have run up to expectations lately? I’d be tempted to say the same about Henry de Bromheads as well. Of course they are having a few winners but these yards should be banging them in. If they don’t all come back into form I think there will be more British than Irish winners at the festival

Can't believe no one is talking about Dark-Raven. Form got a boost today with doctor-bravo winning nicely. Dark-Raven missed all of last season, so should come on plenty after beating doctor-bravo at christmas. Was highly touted last year by patrick mullins, so at 33/1 for the supreme and 10/1 at DRF against facile-vega, he represents good value. If you take Facile-vega's form literally, it ain't that great. And while i still believe he's a horse with a lot of potential, You're not going to get rich backing him at that price for both the DRF and supreme
