Hey man, i love your videos. I wish they had more recognition. I think i may have told you before, but i have a complete EZ30R in my garage you can have for cheap or cheaper if you make a teardown, informative video of all the cool things it has with the Porsche co designed vvt and all the interesting tech of the mid 00's. I'm in your area and have a mutual friend. It has a blown head gasket, but no coolant met oil, or overheated.
That is super cool, and I respect all the work you put into it, but my question is why didn’t you just weld the Subaru center diff and pull off the front axles?
I assume this has a EZ30 in it. I"m curious did you keep the inhibitor switch from the old transmission and just set it to park since you put a manual trans in it? I'm looking to 3.0 swap my preface SF.
Edward garcia after daily driving it and doing too many burnouts, the rear diff mount I fabbed decided to head out and stopped holding up the back of the diff. That was last October and I just recently got it back together. This last year has been crazy busy with other things.
Hey i have an 02 impreza 2.5rsi wanna do a transmission swap for manual need some help and as well as fixing all my brakes everything wobbles and there is no ebrake
Work on figuring out how to work on the car with the basic maintenance stuff first, brakes and ebrake are simple to figure out just by looking at them if you end up not able to do that.. pay someone to do the swap for you lol
30D is going to be a lot cheaper. But it depends on the extent of the project. If you just want to stab an H6 into an impreza, I'd say go ez30D. the wiring is simpler and you can use the factory ECU without needing to worry about the immobilizer in the Ez36. It also depends on power goals and budget. the 30D can be turbo'd at low boost and make for a really fun, budget swap. The 36 can be destroked with an outfront motorsports crank, forged rods, etc and handle a lot of power. another good option if seriously considering the 36 is the ez30r (or ez30d phase2 depending on how you want to call it). It has a lot more aftermarket support than the 36 and really, the extra .6 liters of displacement isn't much when you can just add another 2-3psi of boost into a 30r and get the same or similar result. I have an extra 30D in the garage I've been wanting to throw into a 99 impreza wagon. I might get to it this winter, but we'll see. I'll be sure to film it if it goes down.
You can get a car with AWD to drift if you have more power going to the rear wheels vs a front and rear wheel power split, my car has 45% power going to the front wheels and 55% going to the rear wheels, I have a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Limited.
That's some impressive MacGyvering there! Props for doing all of that with no hoist on the ground and using your leg to operate the jack! 👍
Nice to know people are still trying to mod these early wagons
A mad man moment in my book!
great stuff to watch though
Mad props and respect to all the hard work you put into this!

Nice to know I'm not the only one working on the old H6, I have a build up on my channel and if you're interested check it out
How much did it run you? Labor costs, aftermarket parts costs, materials cost, machining costs, time spent?
Nice high quality content like usual
This is exactly what I want to do with my 05 Subaru Legacy GT Limited.
This channel went from dirtcheapdaily to dirtcheapevery3months

Is that a thing? Im wondering myself. I. would. Do. It.
@@TR3MEND0USI’m not sure because I’m looking into it myself but I’ve heard that’s a good way to destroy ur transmission diff and axles

So what happen to my car at the end? I need it for the next event! 😕

I understand the struggle bro! Your doing great! We fab, we enjoy, we break, we fix! 👍
I need to go back and rewatch your series on this thing.
Its @thetowelsamurai btw
I'm guessing this outback has the h6 ? I couldn't see the h4 making enough power
Killer!!!!!!!!!

I have an automatic h4 would a Manuel h6 swap be hard?
Subaru stuff.
What city/town do you live in?
Hey random question can you bolt a 5speed to a outback ez30
Yes
Very cool! Love the transformation dude! Looks like a blast! What engine were you using?
H6 3.0
or you could pull the front axles and weld the center diff.... actually pass inspections that way
More videos please
This could be cool since I need a new front diff 😎😎
Ez30d or Ez36 swap for a ole impreza (asking for a friend)

What happened to this thing!?
why cant an awd drift ?
Because, it’s, all wheel drive 😂 with the front tires pulling you can’t hold a drift or get the angle you would with rwd
