okay i just fell in love woth Malasana in 10 minutes 😍😍😍 the artsy vibe, young people, vibrant nightlife is everything im looking for! im from Montreal Canada and this neighborhood really reminds me of "Le Plateau" here! bunch of vintage shops, art, young ppl and culture everywhere!

Yes! I fell in love with it as soon as I discovered the area as well (I'm a tourist in my own city hahaah). So sad that I missed that when I went to Montreal!!
@@zcorpalpha2462 Well now there are a lot of restrictions and I haven't gone out to a night club in sooo long myself, so no worries about that. But out of covid season it's great for the nightlife!

Funny, in 2015 I was in Madrid as a tourist and I had information that an actress I admire was acting in a Theater in Malasaña, I walked from Sol to la Gran Vía with the address written in a piece of papel, I asked a lot of people, nobody knew. A guy pulled his cell phone and located for me and told me, yea, you are very close, just take this corner, keep walking, you will find it right away. I did, I bought a ticket, decided to hang around, not go back to the hotel and then go back. I saw the play, a very funny comedy, I even met my actress after waiting a while out on the sidewalk, it was March 17, and it was freezing!

Some street names are not very known around! And yes, I love how you can walk around everywhere! Very weird it was freezing in Mid March!! Right now the weather is changing quite a bit, one day we're in summer clothes and the next we have to take out our winter clothes! Beautiful Madrid! ❤

Mostly white and neutral apartment: ah yes it's much more colorful like Mexico. Not even close! The walls would be pink or orange. Very nice apartment!
This is pleasure and pain. I watch coz I have never been and would love to visit. It’s painful coz I have no idea when we (finally)can.I wish I had gone to Spain too when I had the chance( did Italy and Paris)

Well once you are able to it would be lovely for you to see the whole Malasaña area!! It's not as "known" for the international tourists but more so people that come from other areas in Spain! Hope that this all ends soon and you can come!
I am amazed how many foreigners live in Madrid and English speaking people too! Many, many. See I gave the Spain from Franco time in my mind, it was very different, to me it was not dangerous, on the contrary it was safer than now but the country was not so open.

@@anairenemartinez165 For sure! The people of Spain are very warm in general with everyone (of course, we have a few exceptions like anywhere around the world.....) but yes! As more tourists see how high the quality of life in general in Spain is (weather, public healthcare and education, safety, activities to do, etc etc) more of them live over here! We can't deny the fact though that many tourists go to live in those areas so obviously they are more populated by tourists over there than in other neighborhoods.

Haven't spent much time there in almost 20 years. Looks more touristy now. Too hot in Summer and too cold in Winter. A young city for Spain as it's only about 500 years old. But a good night life in Summer.
