You know that infamous hair growth oil … well now you can make it into a mask with my new favourite ingredient shea butter …. Girl we are talking moisture, and growth as well as length retention…. If that does not sound like a win, I don’t know what does.
    Recipe -
1- 1.5 cups of shea butter
Half a cup of olive oil
    Quarter cup almond oil
    5 drops Lavender
    5 Drops Peppermint
    Tablespoon Amla
    Tablespoon Henna
1/4 cup of aloe vera infused with fenugreek
    Table spoon of castor oil
    3 teaspoons of coconut oil
    Optional 1 tsp MSM
This mixture keeps well if moisture is avoided and freezes well, use Ghanian or Indian henna if you intend to freeze. It freezes better than Morrocan henna. Please listen to your hair and tweak appropriately.

Curly Proverbs, I finally tried henna on my hair (the Nupur henna with 9 ayurvedic herbs) and my hair is a NEW WOMAN!!! My hair is darker, shinier, more moisturized, stronger... I skipped wash day last week (I wash my hair weekly) and my hair hasn't dried out. Henna has COMPLETELY changed my hair and so have all the herbs you recommended. I made your last growth oil and I just got started so I haven't seen a change lengthwise but my hair is noticeable more healthy. My hair used to get dry and tangly in 2-3 days, sometimes 1 day if I used the wrong products. I am now 10 days since my last washday and I think I've only refreshed 2x during the entire period which is unheard of for me and even when I refreshed, my hair was still moisturized so I didn't need as much as I normally put. Its such a change from when my hair was bone dry after 2 days. I have also noticed I've stopped seeing fairy knots since I started using henna.
    Henna is BOMB.
    Your growth oil is BOMB.
    Ayuvedic herbs are the TRUTH.
I am SO APPRECIATIVE that you keep your content free.
I've been natural for 13 years but it is only within the last year that I feel like I've truly learned whats best for my hair. You are an inspiration and I tell every black girl who will listen to check out your channel.
    THANK YOU!!

Privacy Wanted I literally just tried the Nupur henna today and my hair felt unbelievable!!! I do have some questions in regards to how you go about using it: What did you use after you rinsed our the henna? And what did you mix it with? I tried coconut milk and it was amazing! Glad you loved your results as well.

Hello! I rarely write comments but I wanted to share my story....
I’m a 20 year old lady who wanted to learn how to do her own hair as she stepped into adulthood. I’ve been trying to do everything natural and (fairly) cheap.
I’ve been using your growth formula (all forms/renditions of it that you have made over the years), and the tea mixture. I was nervous at first, not knowing if the testimonials I read in the comments were paid off or fakes or what nots. (No offense to you, it’s just too many fakes on YT.)
Results? My hair has been growing! I don’t have the exact measurements though, but I know it is growing! My parents have commented that it’s getting longer, but better than that, I know it’s even healthier and stronger. It’s moisturized for more than one day and the ends are not brittle anymore. There is even a shine to it!
In one of your videos you mentioned that 20 years ago, you were told that you could never grow your hair long, and I realized that that put you around about the same age as me when you started your journey. You have inspired me to keep on going until I reach butt length, and I believe your formulas will truly help me get there.
Thanks for sharing your tips so that other people can get where you are. Many times, long haired females on YT will just chalk everything up to “genetics” but you help people understand that while genetics does play a part, there are steps you can take to grow long healthy hair. I thank you for that. If I ever have children, I will start them on these regimens as soon as they pop out! 🤣
Thanks again. ❤️ And y’all listen to her! This stuff works!

    Hey curly proverbs,
I've posted this before on one of your videos but it didn't catch your attention so I'm trying once more :) :
I wanted to reach out to you and ask you to mention something important in your next videos on hairloss and hair care: Thyroid health.
I’ve been struggling with dry and brittle hair for a long time even though I have been religious about caring for my hair in the way you advise. I found out recently that I had an autoimmune disorder called Hashimotos. It is a disorder that is on a dramatic rise and unfortunately completely under diagnosed due to insufficient testing and poor medical interpretation (normal ranges are too broad).
The symptoms are vast and can differ from one women to another but dry hair, brittle hair, thinning hair, slowed growth and hair loss are common signs.
It took me 5 years to get diagnosed and if there is one thing I would like women with thinning hair and hair loss to know is:
    1. Push for a full thyroid panel, ESPECIALLY thyroid antibodies
    2. Compare your levels to the newest reference ranges. Don’t rely on your doctor for interpretation.
    3. If you are sure that your thyroid levels are fine, look into your gut health. The importance of proper diet is medically completely understated. A lot of hair loss occurs because of vitamin and mineral deficiencies that stem from impaired absorption in the gut due to a poor gut flora.
*4. I am 21. Thyroid issues happen to women at all ages. Don’t ignore your symptoms.
I am asking you to address this topic because you have a huge platform and a huge amount of followers, many of whom specifically found your channel because of their struggles with hair loss. There is no denying that your teachings work (you go girl!) but I am 100% sure that you have followers who could really benefit from being told about the connection of hair health and thyroid health.
    Thank you ❤️

    • @50fitnfrolushous

I was diagnosed last year with Hashimoto's after 25 years of being told my thyroid was normal. At 50 I big chopped and went ayurvedic, my hair is healthier than it ever was. However, I can tell this autoimmune disease affects my hair and scalp b/c it is thinner in the center and the only thing that helped was FOR ME was zinc, selenium, digestive enzymes and a fairly strict AIP diet for a while in addition to my hair care routine. I have bouts with my stomach and then my hair freaks out. Hashimoto's is real and as a woman of color I am here to say don't let anyone tell you, it's only a "Caucasian" illness, because that's what I heard!
