  • Chef and entrepreneur who has obtained several international prizes for his work. In TEDxHabana 2015, Alberto tells the story of his life and professional achievements, explaining how family traditions and a long record of travels back and forth his country have influenced his career, his goals as an entrepreneur and his ideas about communitarian service.
    Chef and entrepreneur. In 1996, he went to work in Italy, but after almost two decades of successful career, he decided to go back to his country, Cuba, where at present he manages the Salchipizza bakery. Alberto won the Bronze Medal for International High Cuisine (2007) and the Golden Spoon and Silver Fork awards (2009). He was the first Cuban chef to obtain the distinguished Michelin Star and remained in the Michelin Guide for 3 years.

    I was there to hear my dear friend Alberto Gonzales when he talked about his wonderful bread shopIn Central Havana. There you can eat healthily, well, organically. And there you will meet a huge personality - one of the most sociable and attentive people you could hope for. Viva Alberto!
