Ambica Shrestha was a trailblazing Nepalese entrepreneur and the president of Dwarika's Hotels and Resorts. Born in Darjeeling, India, she moved to Nepal after marrying artist Dwarika Das Shrestha. Together, they founded a high-end heritage hotel renowned for its antique art collection. After her husband's passing in 1991, Ambica managed and expanded the hotel, dedicating her life to preserving Nepalese cultural heritage and empowering women. She served as the honorary Consulate General of Spain for Nepal, led the Nepalese Heritage Society, and was the founding President of the Federation of Business and Professional Women Nepal. Ambica Shrestha passed away at the age of 92, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and excellence in heritage conservation and women's empowerment.
