I have been using a plastic napkin holder to keep my bills organized in, but after this I am goiing metal. I hate plastic, but I wi be sure to donate it to a local thrift store that serves the community
That is the best idea in the video! I have been looking at wooden charging stations on Amazon, but they are all around $50, so I haven't convinced myself to buy one. Glad I waited - I'm going to have to pop into the Dollar Tree this week and pick up the napkin holders. I also like the idea of have two or three of them on a bookshelf to orgazine notebooks and planners.
@@elizabethclark1294 I need something to hold my lids. Right now they are all on top of each other sitting in a real pretty storage container. But in order to find the size I need I have to remove the ones on top of it. So annoying to have to do that. I love this idea. I'm stopping by dollar tree tomorrow! Thanks!
I meant to also say that I have the same thing going on with cookie sheets, baking pans, etc. All of them on top of each other under the oven in a drawer. I don't know how the one I use most always finds its way to the bottom of that drawer. 😉 Am I the only one? (going to be buying lots of napkin holders tomorrow haha)
They actually have a product at Dollar Tree in the kitchen area that is made to hold the lids for pots & pans, I also use it for my cookie sheets, muffin tins, really anything I can think of!! lol I absolutely LOVE THEM! They work well for the larger lids and cookie sheets, etc., because the openings are wide so it allows the lids to lay over at an angle, instead of straight up, that way they can fit into shorter cabinets and it makes it very easy to get them in and out. I have a bunch of them in my craft room also, they work great for many of my scrapbooking, stamping & card making supplies. I actually use them in the bathroom as well, like Fair Critique mentioned, they work wonderful for makeup pallets and lots of other bathroom items as well! If you don’t find them in the kitchen section they are also usually with the home storage/organization items (not food storage, but with the buckets & bins, larger storage type items), near the dish drying rack and dishwashing buckets (for lack of a better term??). Along with those will be little racks that you can use in your cupboards or on shelves that allow you to more easily stack items. For instance, coffee cups, you can have one layer on the bottom and then place these little racks over them and you have a second layer of space to double the number of coffee cups that will fit in that space. They’re especially helpful in the bathroom for all the little bottles and small things you need to store, you can make better use of the big cupboard under the sink. I should shut-up now, I know, but one last thing, if you use the little racks (I know I’m not explaining them very well), and your items are small or tipping over because of the space between the bars that make the shelf, you can buy the clear flexible plastic cutting boards in the kitchen area, I believe it’s 2 in a package and you can cut them to fit the size of your shelf/rack, therefore making a smooth, solid surface for your items to stand on. If you do this it will also allow you to stack multiple racks and make even better use of tall cabinets and cupboards. Sorry for the SUPER LENGTHY explanation, I have just had such great success using these few items, I felt like I should share my knowledge. We just moved into a new home and I used so many products from the Dollar Tree to organize my kitchen, bathrooms, and craft room, it literally would have cost thousands of dollars to do it any other way! Anyone who sees how I’ve organized everything thinks I’ve spent a fortune, no one can believe that I did it using items from there. It’s just a matter of what you choose and how you use it.

By adding 2 Dollar Tree hooks vertically on the back of an appliance, I created a place to wrap my cords. I hate messy cords in the cupboard and this has neatly solved that problem!👍😊
That’s a great idea! Can anyone tell me what’s the difference between “acrylic” and “tempura” paint. I’ve seen both at the Dollar Store but don’t know which one to use for what.....? Thank you!
Sher Bear acrylic is permanent when completely dry and is a main go to for crafting. Tempura is washable (usually) from floors, clothes, fingers and hair and is a great choice for kids crafts - not as good quality wise and fades faster than acrylics but hey, it usually doesn’t stain so for kiddos it’s perfect.
I really am glad I found this channel, my daughter just recently got her father's estate after he passed away and there is so much I can't wait to try. Keep up the good work hope you have a blessed day
These were amazing, Thank You! I can't wait to try the mirrored jewelry holders. And the napkin holders are awesome. Sorry, I must now go to the Dollar Tree. Thanks again, Katherine. You are so inspirational and always so happy and cheerful!
Great video! I love those black metal hooks I just seen them the other day and I picked it up there so much better quality than the other ones that DT sells, and sturdier! I have one over the front door of my apartment, (facing the inside of our house, of course,) to hang our masks and other things. Works great! The silver colored ones work great too. The white ones are flimsy, but I use it in the kitchen to hang over the cupboards for our pot holders and oven mitts. Works for that purpose, anything else would be too heavy.
The word doesn't roll off the tongue at all, so we had to modify it! I'm from TX and my Louisiana side of the family calls it a "MEER" and my TX side calls it a "MEER-uh."
I love your videos!!!!! Please do another DT walkthrough on how you use things or what new items you can find. I love your DT walkthroughs so much I keep watching the old ones when Carlson was a baby!
I appreciate the "no plastic" SO much. Thank you!!
First time I ever saw small picture frames used as labels. Clever!
Zip ties can be very sharp when cut. I recommend putting a blob of hot glue on the ends to keep your items and your skin safe
Good idea!
Depending on where the zip ties are placed. And you can kinda heat the ends to melt them, so they're softened and smoother.
Johanna Michels that’s good idea. You can also file them a little with a rough nail file. And round the edges.
Use flush cuts to trim ty-wraps.
Just file the edges with an emery board or sandpaper. Softens the edges instantly!
The over the door hook can be used to hang brooms, dustpan, yard stick and umbrellas. Just tie a ribbon to the products and hang them behind the door! You can also hang three tote bags and fill them with shopping bags, or other items. Have fun. Let me know what you think!

I love the mini ladder to store potatoes. Great idea for bathroom to store hand towels. Yay!!
😳 I love how your mind works! I don’t think I would ever be able to think up things like this! Need to run to my local Dollar Tree! We just moved and I want to start decorating our home on a budget!
As someone preparing to move-you’ve been a life saver!
Same here.. from a 3 bedroom house and 47 years of belongings to a small 1 bedroom apartment.. boy I need help..lol
The frames used as labels was so good! Love that idea! This video is great! Lots of NEW ideas which is fantastic! Thank you!
The mirror and knob idea is beautiful.
Bar glasses work really well for makeup brushes too! I store my eye brushes in a champagne flute lol
I love the napkin holder idea for lids for the pots and pans.
Thank you Kathryn! You are such a lovely person I’ve been watching you for about
a year or so. I really appreciate these videos because you share hacks and crafts etc.. that help others! Love the clips of your family , so sweet!
I just saw this video, but I'm so happy to see no plastic! I try to minimize plastic as much as possible 💛
Kathryn, your videos always make my day so much better! Thank you for the love and joy that you radiate through each video! God Bless! 💕
Dollar Tree needs to sponsor your videos already! Such fun and creative ideas!
Omg, dollar store should hire you.
I love the mirror and door knob idea to hang stuff.
This was great, my favorite was the little picture frames turned into basket labels!
Me too! When I saw that, I just immediately knew I had to do that one. I just hope our DT currently carries them.
So happy to see a video without plastic. Alas don’t have dollar tree here though but great ideas. Very innovative.
I LOVE the jewelry holder idea!! I have some gorgeous “knobs” I’ve been wondering what to do with and that’s the perfect solution. 🙏💫
These hacks look SO amazing! as a Dutch 16 year old girl i have no clue as to why i watch all of these when i dont even have a Dollar Tree anywhere close, but i just love these hacks, ideas and your youtube channel all together! have a nice day!!
Oh, I LOVE the jewelry hangers! I could see using them for keys, dog leashes, umbrellas, etc. The possibilities are endless. Thank you!

Hello UK and US from Germany 😊
I'm from the border of Scotland ! 🇬🇧😌
What great ideas I watch all your videos my best friend refuses to get a computer (she lives 50 miles away) so while I am watching I describe the whole thing to her We have so much fun talking about what we implemented. Thank you so much for the joy and shared adventure of your ideas. We are both mid 70’s and have been best friends for 63 years
Love the mini frames for labeling baskets! 💗 I always struggle finding inexpensive, cute ones that come with labels already
By adding 2 Dollar Tree hooks vertically on the back of an appliance, I created a place to wrap my cords. I hate messy cords in the cupboard and this has neatly solved that problem!👍😊
BRILLIANT!!! THANK YOU!!!
Your editing is beyond compare. I love how many do-able projects you fit into your videos,
Now i am obsessed with dollar tree basket and everything there love your positive energy
💕🙏you're having so much fun it's contagious
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the mirror necklace holders 👏👏👏👏
Oh wow!! This was fantastic!!! Sharing with my daughter who just got her first apartment and is so crafty. She is going to love it!!!
Jewelry wall decor will be a perfect gift for the grandparents( me) help the grandchildren make for Xmas gifts! Thanks
I love your videos... They always end too soon, i wish they were longer! 🥰
OMG Dollar Tree is giving Target Dollar spot section a run for their money! These are fantastic ideas 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
That shelf is gorgeous! I always love to see your ideas, thank you for always giving us your best 😊
Never knew about making your own stain. Genius!!
The napkin holders can also double as a neat and organized way to store thin purses or clutches.
My absolute favorite video so far!!! I have shifted to a plastic free home and didn’t realize the dollar tree had so many plastic free decor options!
I am going to make room on my cabinet for those spices!!!
Love the way to make your own stain!!!
I loved the wooden box idea even for making a drawer organization
You can also water down acrylic paint to use as a stain! Even easier than steel wool stain
Yes. I have done it with teal and orange and it was super pretty. Almost a water color stain.
Oooooh great tip water down acrylic paint. I never would have thought about that on my own has a stain. Brilliant!
Was coming here to say the same!
Aww! The mirror necklace hangers! So pretty!
Love the napkin holder vertical organizer! As soon as my DT gets those in I am making several for the kid's remote learning stations.
Lots of great plastic -free ideas! Thanks for the positivity!
You just make me happy with these videos! I just wanted to say thank you for that! ❤️
I’m always sad when your videos end, cuz you’re such a positive, happy person to hang out with!
LOVE THESE!!! Always love your vids! Could you show what other uses there can be for the gold baskets Dollar Tree just started carrying?
How big are the gold baskets?
I loved the small picture frames to label the baskets!
Works for that purpose, anything else would be too heavy.
great idea! Will have to snag that purpose -- mask hooks. Thank you!
The black ones in the video looks so much better than the hooks I've gotten there in the past. I hope I can find a couple!
@@therealJamieJoy your welcome!
@@cathy8086 They are real unassuming. One Dollar Tree in my area totally replaced the black ones from the ones they normally carry. Lol!
No plastic? Yes please! Love these ideas!
Great video as always!
Yes, very helpful 😊
You did your job. My jaw is on the floor. You are so creative. Thanks for the videos.
As a Michigander, I love how we say "meer" for mirror. Who needs that second syllable? ;) Great ideas as usual!!! Love this!
I’m from Alabama and I say it the way y’all do!
Omg we do 🤯 🤣. I’m from Northville/Novi!
The word doesn't roll off the tongue at all, so we had to modify it! I'm from TX and my Louisiana side of the family calls it a "MEER" and my TX side calls it a "MEER-uh."
Oh my goodness, St. Clair Shores here!
Until I seen this post I didn't realize my pronunciation of mirror is the same lol. Dearborn
I love your videos!!!!!
Please do another DT walkthrough on how you use things or what new items you can find. I love your DT walkthroughs so much I keep watching the old ones when Carlson was a baby!
