As rumors says; In the past until 90s other countries juries were pressured by head of channels not to give high points to türkiye due to political reasons. that's why they continuously get bottom results. Another rumors says; Türkiye actually decided to leave in 2011 after their first ever nq result. But when their brother country Azerbaijan won in 2011 and will host next year they stayed one more last time for their brother’s sake.
Second rumor is false. We left Eurovision just because our government. They are Islamists, unfortunately. They seized all the power in the 2010s. And after that they just called it off. Sad. And that first rumor might be true. Our songs until the 90s weren’t that bad. But other countries never voted high for us maybe because of the Cyprus thing back in the 70s, about the time where we started to participate the contest. The contest was always political anyways. But it is fun.
Thank you for reacting to the Turkish songs. We definitely love making music too. I hope we can return to the Eurovision adventure one day.✌ Love youuu💘
12:14 Nein, der Antrag von der Türkei wurde 1999 offiziell von der EU genehmigt, daher hat sich was geändert, durch die Medien. Eurovision bleibt ein politisches Contest, auch wenn es niemals öffentlich zugegeben wird.
In the 70s, 80s and 90s, points were awarded in each country by a so-called expert jury, consisting of a few people. The system was not fair at all and highly political. As the only Islamic country in the competition, Turkey was always disadvantaged. Most of the time they had songs that were ahead of their time and better than many other countries, but received very few points. From the 2000s onwards, the audience voting system was introduced, the result shows that the audience is less biased and has better taste. At some point the voting system was changed again, 50% of the points were to be determined by the audience and 50% by the jurors. In 2012, the Turkish entry was rated much higher by the audience than by the jury, which led to the Turkish entry coming in 7th place. Due to the bad experiences with the jury system in the past, Turkey asked the committee to abolish the jury voting in the future and let the audience decide. As this was rejected, Turkey withdrew from the competition.

@@MIKRASIATISSAI wish 'Christian Countries' would give us the points we deserve. So, my neighbor, we would be ashamed and give the highest scores to those who deserve it, regardless of Muslim or Christian countries.

In 1979 Turkey ended up withdrawing from the contest following pressure from Arab states, who objected to a predominantly Muslim country taking part in a contest held in Israel.

13:45 it’s still ironic that the first song sang in English (by Türkiye) instantly won 😅

Turkey and Hungary quitting eurovision is purely because of political reasons! (*cough Erdogan.. cough Orban..!)
😢
It’s better like this as a Turk we saw last year how political it is
LOOL and not cause of the political votes every year ;)
The reason we left was when a right-wing political regime passed, they restricted Turkey.
Turkey always had a right wing regime. In the 70s,80s even 90s it was a military dictatorship
@ source is your ass
@ I am Turkish, in those years the regime was left-wing, we did not accept anyone with a headscarf into government offices.
@@thisistheway3765 that’s how uneducated you are LMAO. That’s literally the definition of extreme right wing. Don’t even know your own history
