They stopped Because 2011 Because of the big 5 (uk,France,Germany,Spain and Italy ) They always in fainl They don't like the jury they think that they whoud have won if the jury wasn't there in 2010 And I think they failed to qualify because of the jury as lots of the vote comes from European nations that have lot of turkey people like France,Germany
The real reason why Turkey does not take part anymore is because gays have taken over the ESC and made it as their circus. This is what Turkish have told for me. It is a pity because Turkey was always one of those creative ones plus they also brought their own cultural rythms etc. They belong to the best ones.
Yeah that's not why. It's because the rules about voting changed. Russia still participated after the "gays" took over. So did other homophobic countries. The only one I would want back is 🇧🇦 who doesn't participate bc of money not prejudice. You can stay the hell away
As a Turk, I can tell you that the neanderthals who complain about how "gays have taken over the ESC" are precisely the same intellectual midgets who would froth at the mouth anytime a woman was sent to represent Turkey in the ESC. They never cared about the ESC to begin with - their homophobia & misogyny aside. Turkey's departure from the ESC was an entirely political maneuver tinged in Iron Age religious talking points from the country's authoritarian leader. Nothing more.
Not really. I say this as an ally and a bi person myself, a LOT of anti-gay artists want to perform at Eurovision beacuse they still want or choose to see it as it was 20 or 30 years ago, just about music and not promoting anything or trying be dressed in a scandalous way (there's nothing wrong with that ofc, but those homophobic artists simply wish to ignore all that and pretend like it's the same Eurovision like in the 70s or 80s)
Turkey definitely should have won in 2010 imo, I also like 2012 so fun! 😍❤🤩

You are in wrong. They left because ESC is a gay circus these days and not a music festival anymore.
Bellydance!

Turkish queers and allies exist. In fact anyone artsy enough to perform in ESC would almost definitely be an ally. Cry about it if you want.
