- Angela Rayner's claims of not breaking any rules regarding her property dealings have allegedly been disproven by a Mail on Sunday investigation into her real residence.
Despite asserting for six weeks that her primary residence was a house in Stockport, separate from her husband and children, social media posts from that time reveal otherwise.
Numerous postings by Rayner during that period show her with her children and cats at her husband's address, contradicting her claims.
The evidence suggests that Rayner may face legal consequences for making false declarations on the electoral roll and potentially violating tax rules regarding primary residences.
Rayner has declined to disclose tax advice that she says clears her of wrongdoing and has not shared it with Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.
Tory MP James Daly commented on the revelations, stating that they indicate Rayner has been dishonest about fundamental facts. Starmer has expressed confidence in Rayner but has not considered any evidence in response to these revelations.

Apparently everyone has already forgotten the MPs' expenses scandal of 2009. It revealed that virtually every MP in the house was doing something similar to Rayner, on the taxpayer's dime. I doubt much has changed in the last 14 years.

End of the day a married couple can only claim tax relief on selling one main residence - so in this case the authorities just need to decide which house was the main residence of the married couple - it's not a difficult judgment to make.

An asian nurse got a 3 bedroom house for her non existant family, returned to the country she fled from, rented out each room and laughing all the way to the bank.
