How to get to SHIRAKAWAGO from OSAKA

Hi Guys,
This is our trip in Jan 2020.
Our method to reach Shirakawago are as follow:
1. Take JR Thunderbird Train from Osaka Station to Kanazawa Station. (2 hours 50 mins)
2. Take Nouhi Bus from Kanazawa Station to Shirakawago. (1 hour 20 mins)

1. On this video, i was staying for one night at shirakawago but other times i only do day trip. I would say, day trip would be better than stay in shirakawago.
2. Yes, it is recommended to book return ticket as well.
