Meet Dr. Douglas Wyland an orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas in Spratanburg and Greenville, South Carolina.
Dr. Wyland specializes in sports injuries of the knee, shoulder, elbow and ankle. He graduated from the University of North Carolina, where he was a two-time All-American wrestler, and attended the UNC School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center and his fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine through the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado, where his training included management of foot and ankle injuries. He is team physician for Boiling Springs High School and consultant to the Colorado Rockies baseball club. ©ORFC 2010

Dr. Wyland performed a Meniscus allograft on my right knee. That was in April this year, and I feel better today than I have in many,many years now. I feel like I have another shot at life, my goals, and dreams. I'll never be able to say thank you enough!

I met Doug when I was a young wrestler attending UNC wrestling camp. He had just transferred in from Michigan, so it must have been around 1988.. Super nice guy to all of us as well as an impressive wrestler.

I hope to meet you soon as I am being referred from Dr. Stephan Tolan for specialized HTO surgery. I am confident you & your staff will take extraordinary measures to oversee the well being of my knocked-knee. It has been a severe pain to survive for the last 4 years but I refuse to let it keep me down.
