Side Note: Springfield Missouri is known as the birth place of Route 66 when it was first started back in the 1920's. Seligman is known for "Briging it back" as a revival tourist/historic Route and the start of keeping the memory alive while providing new memories for travelers like you and I. Well done video Jason. Seligman is well deserving of the 25 minutes you gave it. Other sites can be covered in 10/15 minutes.

I agree, the nickname is a big misleading. At the time I was doing this video I wasn't expecting to run into anyone and Angel's daughter introduced herself to me and it was great she agreed to answer questions and be on camera! More than half of this episode is the interview, but definitely worth it. Thanks Vin!

These places survive because the whole town is behind them, they kinda work together. The stand alone places struggle and close/open-close/open as sole proprietors retire, die, etc. I saw that alot with the motels along the route. This town is also well established as a main tourist stop along Route 66. I'd like to see more of these types of towns in Southern California.

I agree 100%. I have yet to see the other half of California, but I've seen a lot of this happen in Oklahoma and Illinois, thanks to their state's Route 66 Associations helping them.
