I have Tamron 28-75 and bought this Sigma lens when I was released. I have to say, the picture quality is unexpectedly good and the extra focal length on wide is attractive. It's quite heavy but I'll travel with this lens soon so I'll see how it goes.

Sigma has really been stepping up their lens game for sure these recent years!..as a Sony shooter..I now look to them as an "alternative" to native Sony glass...Since Sony is not giving us an 85 1.2 GM anytime soon I hope Sigma does and update! or I know Viltrox will have an 85 1.2 for sure way before Sony does!..haha come on Sony where is the 85 1.4 II GM already!..
Why am I focused on the focus breathing when you walked away? I think that at this point, Sigma is a great first or second option for most professionals. The fact that you can’t tell what lens it is speaks volumes.

tomorrow i will shoot a yoga event with this setup plus 105mm 1.4 sigma the holy bokeh. wish me luck guys.

@@RahoulVed I realized that peole more happy when you shoot lower f stops. so 105 mm 1.4 saved my day. and i failed a bit when all the crew pose me smiling and waiting for me to shoot, that was nervious in a dark dark open air..but after all we did the job.

We live in peak times when it comes to hardware. The question is not about the quality of hardware but what camera/lens combination fits me best.
I have the Sigma 28-70. It’s sooo light if you don’t mind 28 instead of 24mm.

Compared to the original Sony 24-70 GM how much better is this one? I’m looking to buy a 24-70 and found the original 24-70 GM at the same price as the New Sigma 24-70. Which one would you recommend?

Get the Sony and use the extra moment on amazing lenses. I'm a little biased but I think the huge size of the Z9 alone is already a turn-off.

Thinking of changing to Sony and having troubles with lenses, But I thought the sigma 24-70 is E mount, yet you have it on a A7 camera which is FE mount(Full frame), Does that now mean you have gone to cropped sensor mode, which is less pixels
The lens is Emount and so is the camera
I have the sigma 24-70 the focus is bad I have had it a few years. I do event photography so it kind of fast paced
The sony is magic for video to film like photos ok but if you have a fx3 or you are a video guy that Sony is it
Anyway fyi when u showed the lens side by side comparing the size... it is out of focus 😢

Main issue for me is the 15fps cap.
The GM lens can do 120fps and is way more future proof for this reason.

Sigma is 99.9% same as the Sony if it was the Tamron then il say there will be a slight difference just my opinion

I stand with Gerald Undone on this. Gear reviews need to change, but that isn't on you as the youtuber, there are just not enough differences in quality these days to make a review in a few days. Need to have time with them to really get the little nuances out of them. There is still need for reviews though.
I thought you make a living doing these UA-cam videos that include product reviews. I mean you check out new products all the time. So of course you don’t say no if Sigma asks you to check out their new lens. 😉

Hope you are OK. It seems like something happened before you started recording this video. It's ok not to be excited about a lens view, but you seemed especially down and very low energy. You always do an amazing job and provide incredible, valuable, and real world information and samples. You provide the details and add your personal touch to everything you put out.
