Being adult is realizing that world is won by power. Only time justice is realizes is when opposition becomes a credible threat, and people in power would lose more resources trying to fight them than giving them what they want. Good and evil are not constants, they are defined by those in power. In terms of moral philosophy, compassion in humanity has evolved due to social structure. Human notion of “good” and “evil” are entirely human-centric.
One vital thing people overlook about having these powers is, hearing the suffering, crimes and accidents about to happen. Knowing you have the power to stop or help would get to most people.
Yeah that would be a horrible feeling but you have to think that your doing all you can and bad things will always happen stopping those bad things from happening to as little as one person helps
And yet, one is infinitely easier than the other. I can't say that being nice is always free. Depending on the circumstance, it can eat away at you, especially if you don't believe in your own words and are doing it for the sake of keeping peace or preventing something bad from happening. But that's not the point. Being Good ain't easy, especially consistently. It's infinitely harder than being bad/evil, but just cuz something easy doesn't mean it's right or even worth doing. The best and most fulfilling lives are filled with hardship, but that's part of what makes them worth more. You actually had to work for something there instead of it just being given to you for free. And when we see what our hard work amounts to and the good it can do, it inspires us to keep pushing.
It's not that kind Superman is boring, he's just so ridiculously powerfull for no reason it's boring, him being good is not the issue, him being good and invincible is boring, which most Superman stories go, the fact that he didn't worked a single day in his life to get any of his powers doesn't help, the only way to make him any interesting while keeping his power level is to challenge him purely on psychological level, which not many writers can pull off, it's much MUCH easier to write him as a villain in that way, just look at injustice
@@CainDB What are you talking about, there are tons of stories where Clark has as many EXTERNAL challenges as INTERNAL, His rouges gallery is some of the most powerful Comics; DARKSIED, DOOMSDAY, BRANIAC, PARASITE And Even LOBO HECK, most of his rouge's gallery he e put him the EMERGENCY ROOM. But that doesn't mean the Batman character's good stories are suddenly unimpactful or uninspired because of it At the end of the day Clark Kent is not defined but how powerful he is or how hard he can punch. it's about who he is as a man from Kansas and trying to live up to what his loving parents taught him by doing one simple thing " be good Clark".

However at the end Punishment should be just and not be excessive (look at the peace contract of Versailles and its consequences after world war 1, basically the core reason nazis could gain power despite Germany being a democracy) but this whole forget and forgive is BS because it invites evil to continue its work Eye for an Eye and the world goes blind. "Listen, lil champ, you don't need cape and symbol on yer chest to be a hero, because yer already hero for us, no superman power look alike needed" - someone I used to know in my childhood, R.I.P Edit: Here's a little backstory, I used to be living in the countryside as a kid, and back then, many of the young people moved to the city for a better life leaving many elderly behind. I'm autistic so almost nobody at my age wants to make friends with me, so that is why I always visit the forest or rice field and meet many elderly people working there. Many of them see me as an unfortunate child and befriended me, and thanks to them, I don't really feel much lonely in my childhood. I remember the silly little me taking a blanket and making it a cape and going to the field and say "super fiz is here, and I will help you all" and that is when I receive those word, and it still engraved in my memory ever since. Sadly, my parents got divorced, and I moved with my mother to her hometown. Ever since then, I have never seen them again.

My moral compass remains the same, only thing that changes is either im pleased with the edit, horny, or get aneurysm from people missing the mark completly
And the best part, is that being kind isn't a fantasy at all! You can be kind, and inspire others to be also, it may take a while for some, especially for those who were/are affected by a hard life, but once they figure out they can be kind to others, be their families, friends, or just people or life in general, this will be a power that the greedy and bitter will try to take it from you, but if you trully feel like being kind, they won't EVER take that from you, for it was you, and only you that chose to be nice to others.
Do not be a good person just because a meme told you to be one. Be a good person regardless of circumstances. The world is unforgiving enough. In the midst of it all, be a paragon of kindness. Do not wish for there to be a Superman. Be Superman.
I think the main problem is that in the face of adversity and cynicism, it's hard to be inspired by hope. It's not that people don't want to hold onto Superman's message after watching memes like these, it's just that it's genuinely hard for some people to hold onto hope. What we need to do is inspire each other, strengthen each other's resolve and when we falter, we strive to be better.

but omni-man isnt the case, the show's (and even the comics when its still a main plot point) original overall plot point is about an almost obserd hope in mark about his father (Nolan) being capable of being a good person, and eventually the redemption of nolan, and frankly the comics even transitions to this reformation to the rest of the (small) viltrum race, it does start out with the soul crushing line "WHAT WILL YOU HAVE IN 500 YEARS" from omni-man, but at the end of the comics we do see far into the future and see that the hope held by mark was not held in vain, but that his hope for a better tomorrow despite the adversity required to change things that seems insurmountable, was held true, and that it bore good fruit.
the reason it can come off as so vulgar and hopeless is because they don't shy away from depicting the real struggle, suffering and conflict with it, its what makes the eventually preserving hope so good.

Being evil is free, but so does being nice
Gambling ain't free, that's why nice is expensive

Finally someone who doesn't think being good is boring
Superman is interesting BECAUSE he has the strength of character he does
Why be evil when this world needs so much kindness?
It's not that kind Superman is boring, he's just so ridiculously powerfull for no reason it's boring, him being good is not the issue, him being good and invincible is boring, which most Superman stories go, the fact that he didn't worked a single day in his life to get any of his powers doesn't help, the only way to make him any interesting while keeping his power level is to challenge him purely on psychological level, which not many writers can pull off, it's much MUCH easier to write him as a villain in that way, just look at injustice
What makes Superman boring isn't being good, it's the scale of his powers.

But that doesn't mean the Batman character's good stories are suddenly unimpactful or uninspired because of it
At the end of the day Clark Kent is not defined but how powerful he is or how hard he can punch.
it's about who he is as a man from Kansas and trying to live up to what his loving parents taught him by doing one simple thing " be good Clark".

It took me a while to understand it
being nice doesnt even need effort. just simply checking up or holding a door can make someone feel better. many people are kind because they're happy to.
