The Yukon Cook System by Camp Chef has seriously elevated our outdoor camp kitchen and now we can’t really do camp life without it. Above all, the Yukon is efficient with its two 30,000 BTU burners but that’s not the best part. We absolutely love the versatility that comes with Camp Chef’s stoves as you can mix and match accessories to your cooking style. We have the 14” Grill Box and 14” Griddle and so that gives us 3 cooking options. We can easily remove one of the accessories to use a simple burner if need be but most of the time we have the Grill Box and the Griddle on the Yukon.
The Griddle will change your life. When we first got the griddle, I thought, “best pancakes ever.” But actually, it’s so much more than perfectly cooked pancakes! With almost every meal, we are using the griddle for something. I even switched from grilling to griddling hamburgers and it’s not something I’ll soon regret. Pancakes or eggs or French toast for breakfast, grilled cheese or quesadillas for lunch, and burgers or fajitas for dinner… when I say we used our Yukon every single day for nearly every meal for two months down in Baja, that is not an understatement.
When we’re not using the griddle, the grill box is the perfect sized grill for feeding 2-6 people. Anything that you would normally throw on your chintzy propane camp grill, you can cook on this grill with even heat and a quality cast iron grill plate. The grill box heats up quickly, holds heat in, and is equipped with a thermostat.
A couple things we love about the Yukon are the features for fighting the wind that creeps up on us just after we start cooking a meal. There’s an upper windscreen and the burners have their own housing to keep the wind at bay. In comparison to an older Explorer we had, we think the Yukon outperforms in terms of wind. The only complaint we have is that when it is windy, if you have a burner on very low, it will blow out. If you have the burner on medium to high in the wind, it has no trouble staying lit.
This time around with Camp Chef we also opted for carrying bags for all of the accessories and it’s a packing game-changer. We love that this system can be packed down into carrying bags to protect it when we travel. You can see that the Yukon has removable legs that allow it to pack down into a nice package. Is this something you would take with you tent camping? If you have the room in your vehicle, then probably! This system is ideal for camper living but can be adapted to many different scenarios. You could even use this as your outdoor cook set at your house. We realize that the Yukon Cook System is an investment but you will use it for many different occasions, it’s extremely versatile, and it’s made with high-quality materials that will last a very long time.
If you’re ready to up your outdoor kitchen game, look no further than the Yukon 14 Cook System. You can choose your own accessories, but the griddle is one you do not want to go without! If you’re not really the grilling type, you will still benefit greatly from the Yukon with a 14” griddle and just keeping one side of the Yukon as an open burner. This is making me hungry just thinking about the amazing meals we’ve cooked on the Yukon! How do you think this would this do on drawer system on a truck? It seems like a great stove overall, but does it sit nicely without the legs? Or would I have to build some mounts and some mini legs for it? Great details in the video, really helped me out!

I think it would be perfect. You may want to line the drawer with a heat reflective material so things don’t get too hot.

good video on the uses for the stove, i'm considering one and wanted to see a practical review of it in use. Maybe you could make a small 4-6" high box to sit the stove on or shove a cut down broom handle up the legs to make the legs longer to raise the height for yourself so you don't bend down, although you said you didnt mind since it wasn't too low...cool cool cool bro

I'm sorry to hear the "bread story" at the end of the clip. So emotionally as Cally now has to watch her friend while not being able to do same. 😄😄😄😄

You wouldn’t be able to see out of a welding mask. The lens to too dark.

@@AdventureRig I would make you smile and we would have some amazing stories to tell during the process. Just think how great that fresh maple syrup would be on those sourdough pancakes.
