I dimension door a portal into the dragon's mouth, and feed the dragon my remaining magic beans along with some dirt. 🫘 DM: "It doesn't even need to swallow, the beans are consumed. As the dragon begins to breathe in to use its fire breath, it suddenly explodes, revealing a massive red beanstalk that had coiled itself inside its stomach, and is now growing from the corpse of Tyralian, the draconic deity, and blessed by the divine blood it drinks, the stalk begins to grow in all directions, pulling clouds near to the deadlands as it establishes portals to the sky realm deep within its roots. Heaven and earth in this area collide, and all manner of heavenly bodies begin to warp the ground into a new plane of existence within a 4D20 mile radius around the decreased dragon. You now find yourselves surrounded by all manner of vine, cloud, and stream, and as the earth begins to ignite beneath your feet, you quickly scamper up onto a large stalk root. The clouds are drawn to the heart of the earth and become a thick fog. Welcome... to a new land in Azerim; a Firmament that has long awaited its existence... A sentient plane that will someday be known as... "The Sky Wilds".

Starting to realize just how long Greg, Bodger, and Baradun have been away from their spots in the normal game. At this point, they would be replaced by placeholder NPCs to give out the same quests. Greg probably replaced by Fred Orchardson (Hamish) constantly giving the quest "Greg's Sheep have Run Amok" and telling the same histories about Honeywood. And Fred is surprisingly better than Greg as the local friendly hub quest giver. Bodger could be replaced by either Baelin or Fred's (Hamish) Wife. Simple enough to smith the "common" items anyone could do it really. Bardun isn't just replaced by Leothil but by a Simulcrum of Leothil (the new Acting High Sorcerer doesn't have time to enact his plans AND save the game world in Bardun's stead ... plus gives Rob the chance to just walk around Honeywood or game events like Baradun and not be as much of a jerk about it ) And Leothil (Rob) is better at saving the world than Baradun ... just Baradun does it MORE since he was never burdened with administrative work. Fred and his Wife obviously get replaced by the Muggers Bernard and Charles who now "mug" orchards and then double the mugging by selling the "mugged" produce for coins. And it turns they are better at selling vegetables than Fred. The Muggers ofc are replaced by 2 geese that go around mugging people. The 2 geese are also way more intimidating and have more success at mugging. So ... those 3 being away on a journey, and the gameplay experience in Honeywood is actually more efficient. Greg and Bodger make it back to Honeywood just to find the town is thriving. The store is doing great. People are lined up at the blacksmith. Fred and his wife's relationship are almost perfect (they've take over greg's house and both are busy with their better jobs). The muggers are raking it in and have made a fortune. The geese are the most intimidating muggers ever (even successfully mugging The Watcher and The Dragon.)
Poor Rob getting so excited for his entrance doorway...that none of us could really see! Love the greenscreen cutaway for the reference to it! 🤣 awesome episode as always
I feel Rob on the door time. I spent over a week painting a miniature alchemy table for a BBEG encounter. I pointed it out and the players were like, "Oh that's nice I guess." And just fought as normal.
See, you are a nicer person than me. My immediate thoughts on this are, fine, BBEG uses ranged magic or otherwise triggers a massive explosion of the tables contents. Then roll a butt-ton of dice for what kinds of effects and damage are going to burst forth from the scattered flasks. But I am petty that way.
It’s inspiring to watch these virtuosos take Rob’s setting descriptions and instantly create the dialogue that brings it alive for their characters. Pure improvisational genius!
Was listening to your Epic NPC podcast from a few weeks ago and I 100% agree that this D&D channel really has brought some depth to those characters and I can see (especially with Bodger) how it informs how you play them in the Epic NPC series.
if the ring had worked in a situation where the giant red dragon was diving... momentum would suggest that as he breaks off the attack, the giant steaming pile of dragon 'leavings' would continue on his previous trajectory... meaning that the party would be in the splash zone.

Let's face it, it would'v be funny if Baradun misspelled the words on the sign, and that triggered an attack....but it was only to check for a wild surge.
Imagine them doing all that work on the new set for a table top game and then NOT one person thinks, “Hey maybe we should put a camera focused on the actual tabletop.” 🤦♂️
somebody used to comic draw their adventures in the beginning (I guess it was their first giant encounter), they reshared a couple drawings on their Instagram back then.
With having recently started the podcast version of the episodes as well, just to re-listen to all the episodes, I do wonder. Would there ever be a session where they all play their back-up characters? I would love to see a few episodes where you just see the main group having a small break and then the back-up characters in the background dealing with a minor issue.
Finished watching since no. 97 when i stopped till now in few days... Still fun to watch, even though (will be using Char names) Bodger keeps totally forgetting about his polymorph hammer rolls, Baradun does not read Scabbatha book (and constantly forgets about wild surges), Greg does not use those floating weapons that can attack during bonus action (forgot the spell name rn) and Bob is just... Bob :)
I've always been a terrain man myself. I truly love the terrain. Do you guys use 3D printers? If so that's awesome. During that epic pvp duel (congrats btw High Sorcerer) I admired the crap out of the 5 different terrain pieces. You guys also have miniatures. That's so jelly worthy. Love it. Rob should make a book of all his rules and stuff. Maybe call it "Robs Big Book".
you did the german counting quite well. Gefällt mir.
Death House in Curse of Strahd is a good introduction to new players that avoiding combat is not only a feasible strategy, but sometimes the only one.
If you fight the big angry dragon you will die is basically telling them to not press the big red button.
That would be so amazing that you guys make a animation series with the story that you have. I laughed so hard since the beginning of the campaign.
somebody used to comic draw their adventures in the beginning (I guess it was their first giant encounter), they reshared a couple drawings on their Instagram back then.
These videos been really nice I been going through a hard time right now and this been really helping me keep my mind off of things ty so much
Hey, I turned 40 this year already. I love naps and reading that turns into naps
I love how Bodger mentioned Laethil's spellbook while pointing out that it's rightfully Baradun's. A pity no one noticed.
Bob :)
Love how much fun you guys have in each session ❤
I've always been a terrain man myself. I truly love the terrain. Do you guys use 3D printers? If so that's awesome. During that epic pvp duel (congrats btw High Sorcerer) I admired the crap out of the 5 different terrain pieces. You guys also have miniatures. That's so jelly worthy. Love it. Hey, above all this, it's Rob that truly builds the world we all enjoy!
