It should definitely be Rob's pov with green screen future flashes of if/then possibilities from Rob's mind every time the guys are trying to make a decision.
Rob's descriptions of characters and situations are so good and vivid you barely need the greenscreen stuff to get a good understanding of what's going on. Absolutely amazing stuff.
I'd estimate 3/4 of the greenscreen scenes I skip past (If I'm not listening while driving) There's been a few I enjoyed, but I'd rather the immersion not get broken.
I think Rob is kinda at fault for that one. They did try to plan, but he made it a bit too difficult for them, so they gave up. I'm specifically talking about the fight with the hags when they had a detailed plan, but Rob made the firefly a dangerous monster in disguise. At the time it felt a bit cheap, and the reaction from the group was more annoyed than anything. You could tell they put so much work into a plan, but Rob had to add too many obstacles. I've rewatched the entire series at least 5 times now, probably more. So it's very apparent to me exactly when they stop making plans, and that's it. Originally with the hags they were going back and forth with planning. Sometimes no planning, sometimes planning. However they decided to make a big push and plan things out for this particular fight. The thing that stopped them, the fireflies they needed to get rid of actually being transfigured monsters, was so random and difficult to detect before hand. Rob tries to plan it off with a "if you would have used detect magic..." but when has Bob ever used that spell? You could tell they tried and they feel they were cheap shoted, so now they don't even try. A GM trains their players how to play the game. Rob trained them that there will be BS that will always ruin their plan, so why even try? Hopefully he's better, and can meet the players where they are, with the women's campaign.
@@onslaught147hmm. If you got only one weakspot... would you have it as some ordinary firefly or would you also use manticores? Given you a powerfull hag who rules over a time? I mean yes. That was a big hit to moral but no magical person would lay its life into the hand of a simple firefly 😂❤
@@onslaught147 hold on, that's not on the DM. The party chose to eat the moths, if they just released it and let it fly off they wouldn't have been in that situation. Detect magic comes from Greg's wand of detect magic. An item that he can freely give to any of the other players, and a very useful item for scouting. A good DM will include moments where other players can help each other out with what their class offers. Most of that fight was just poor choices by the players

I remember we had a 4 man free for all Warhammer battle and there was a castle in the centre of the map. The game took so long, as it always does, it went into the night. We decided the defenders of the castle lit bonfires to see. We used little tea light candles on each keep. Well, the game finally ended and we all went inside for dinner. Came back like over an hour later after eating and debriefing the fun as battle we just had. Half the castle had melted and was now fused to the table top! Ah, the good old days. :D Oh, and the other half of the castle was still in flames! Luckily, no minis were hurt during this game!
Which edition? Also, be very glad it wasn't a first gen Mighty Fortress, those were made of styrene. THAT would have been a mess worthy of some Tzeentchian spell.
I like to think using his hero point represented bodger's immense effort not overdoing his studies again or finally reaching the notation about a good nights sleep for physical prowess and mastering it.
In the forging process, the opposite of quenching (rapid cooling to induce hardness) is tempering (heat stress relief of hardening, reducing brittleness).

Fun Fact: The volcanic gasses produces from that much magma would kill you long before the heat does. :> Also magma is a lot harder than you would think. It makes more of a thud then it does a splash.
Given that Bob is supposed to be the Giant Savior. Many or at least, I'd think his connection with Calithac is the key to saving the cursed giants... As in his powers could be used in a way to perhaps absorb the power. Similar to how he obtained it originally minus needing to go inside and eat the giants heart. I suspect Rob has trued to hint that very vaguely and they just haven't figured it out. He keeps mentioning Bobs connection and being the savior. Yet not much thought to speculate how like using the powers he inadvertently obtained.
Here's a theory: The Fire Giant is immune to fire, obviously. But the Verdorrin side of him might not be. So a fire ball would only hurt the shadow part and not the giant
Mechanic Theory: Since the darkness is moving, they need to get it isolated into an appendage somehow. Then chop off that appendage. That would get rid of it and get Bodger his next giant piece. I bet that ax is magical and would resize itself, and is the perfect tool for the job. Rob does everything for a reason.
The fact you took the time for the dimension door scene, I haven’t felt so hopeful with the state of the world in so long - thank you for brightening my week ❤

I feel like around now would be a good time - after having met Billy Shake-spear - for the group to meet another famous Azerim poet, Baroness Orc-zy, who coincidentally happens to write on her next heroic novel 'The Scarlett High Sorcerer'. "They seek him here, they seek him there - the Acting High Sorcerer seeks him everywhere, is he in Ewolin or is he in Toulet? - that elusive Scarlett High Sorcerer" Really enjoy both your channels - keep up the great work!
Theory: they have to use radiant damage because they have to deal more damage to the smoke/wither side than they deal to the giant in order to save him o.o
Or use the mask that the enemy cloud giant they defeated before that allowed him to control his transformations. Wich was in fact destroyed, but if I remember correctly the plans to make the mask were mentioned by Rob.
I love Rowan's instinctual desire to poke lava with a stick. And the opposite of quenching (the rapid cooling to harden steel) would be annealing (the slow cooling to soften and de-stress steel). Although i don't think that would happen submerging it in lava, since there really isn't any need to keep steel above critical temperature for extended periods of time unless you are doing a carbon soak (to raise the carbon content of the steel's surface to case harden it) or trying to melt it to alloy it with other elements (this would make it liquid so you couldn't hang it from a chain). Rob was most likely thinking of the term "tempering" which is when the temperature of the hardened steel (after quench) is raised again to draw back some of the hardness and reduce the brittleness making it tougher and springy. But you wouldn't submerge it in the lava if you are doing that (it is much to hot for tempering).

Naah, Adam won't do that. Rob would have a better chance of catching him cheating.
Bob's armor instantly melts and he take 50 points of steam damage.
Gotta love how Rob's concept of the hero point is "You are heros, sometimes you're doing something epic and heroic, but the dice doesn't work in your favor, so with these, at least one of those times you will succeed".
And the first time the boys use them(at least that I remember) is for Bodger heroically have a good night's rest.
I like how it came down to saving a giant, and Bob's called the savior of the giant's (with them always joking about it,) and no one thought to look into Bob's kit to see if rob has hidden a way for him to save a giant.
Bob always forgetting the cape 😂
Ok. More Rob POV.
Love ya guys
