Have thoroughly enjoyed your videos this year Jim 👍🥃. I hope you and yours had a lovely Christmas and here's wishing you a healthy, peaceful and whisky banging 2025. Slàinte mhath my friend 😃.
It is great to have you back, Jim. I hope the break was good for you and gave you a chance to recharge your passion for creating content. As you said, lots of folks have been talking about this one and I killed one bottle and have a fresh one in the cabinet. Rich is the right word and a good value 15 year old. Merry Christmas, my friend. I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday season. I hope 2025 brings you all blessings.
Thanks for shining a light on this Speyburn, Jim. Decent comparison and both in line with my opinion: not for me.. (I'll leave it at that) Slàinte mhath
Found this years ago and fell in love immediately especially since it was the price of 12's. Been through 5 bottles and have another 2 put away. So sad that the rebranding that violated Balblair and Old Pulteney years ago is now coming to Speyburn but to an even more extreme level. Wondering when they will come for my beloved anCnoc ?
Nice one Jim. I tried this one at the distillery (which is an absolutely magical place!) with the 10, 18 and a few cask finishes and unanimously the 15 won! It's a good whisky but I can also see why you're not blown away by it. Cheers!
Great to have u back. A good’un to kick things off again, although I prefer the 18 over all, and both ‘enjoy these while it lasts’ expressions if the rumours are true. Cheers Jim.
Had the 18 and it's great, and at a great price. Still haven't tried the 15 as it's not available in Sweden, and I didn't pick one up in Scotland due to so many other options filling my suitcase 😅
Too bad it's not available in Sweden. The 18 is for a great price (for an 18 year old). Funny you should talk about the finish, because I've had the same reaction to the 18 year old. It has a wonderful nose, deep rich sweet sherry, clean (no sulfur), the arrival and development is a continuation of that wonderful nose. But the finish is just a tad off, it has kept me from stocking up on that bottle. I'd rather have a whisky with an off note on the nose than the palate and finish that's for sure (as off notes go I mean. Obviously I can do without them all together).

Fucking Christmas in a glass my bottle is. Glad I had some yesterday

Merry Christmas Jim!
That is my sentiment on the Speyburn 15 as well. It reminds me of the Glen Scotia 15 but not one I will replace.
I always think of this as a value, but you can get better whisky (at a younger age statement) for the same or less, as you've demonstrated. Cheers!

I really like this one
I love this one and the 18, always in my cabinet. Merry Christmas and cheers to you!
Interesting. I heard so many good things, I appreciated the insight into the finish. Cheers!
Merry Christmas, Jim!

Not tried but like you, have heard that its great. Shame thatvthey are apparently changing to 40% in the future if the rumours are true. What a shame.
