Whenever I try this.. Using a white graphic with a black spotted texture overlayed on top, after hitting create mask, the entire image becomes transparent and nothing is shown. I have the graphics layers all grouped together, and the texture on another layer. Is there something im missing in how I set it up?
If you are talking about illustrator, in the transparency UI box, you can click on either the image, or the transparency (two boxes right next to each other). I had the same problem, but once I clicked on the correct "layer", it all worked.
Hi Derek, thanks for your message. This one is custom lettering, not made with a font. But you could draw an ellipse and use the type along path tool to draw out your lettering along an arc. Hope that helps. ~Ray

Perfect. Love the Transparency mask way of doing it in Illustrator. Straight forward and works great for many purposes and applications. Thank you!

YEAH BUT CLIP Is CHECKED ON MINE. Why does it work sometimes but not all the time? I uncheck clip and it disappears.

does this work for affinity designer?
its so cool>Thanks\m/.
what font is this?
My question is, how do you get the font in the logo like that? Is it custom? Are there ways in Illustrator to make your font warp like that?
