Man, I've been using Photoshop for over 25 years (!) and Im still learn something new every time you drop a video. Superb stuff, thank you 🙏
that's cool to hear, thank you!
you remember when it was just one CD and one payment? what a concept
@@noonecomics haha, yes and I had a pet Velocipraptor 🤣
@@danielmogford1429 mans still got jokes tho 🤣
same!
I worked on Photoshop beta, and did tshirt designs for WInterland in the 90's. You are a phenomenally talented pro, and an exceptionally clear teacher. Deep gratitude for sharing helpful knowledge to the young designers and us old dogs.
lost in 8.43 - 8.47... still, one of a great tutorial i ever found on the internet. Thanks Man
me too im trying to figure it outtttttttttttt
@@ChersyMarina did u figure it out
also lost
@@faresali3904 nop :c
they duplicated the png layer, then double clicked it and added glow and make that glow all grainy and well that was it i guess
Man, this is exactly what I needed! About 6 months ago I did a tshirt design using methods from several of your other tutorials, including the money engraving effect, but wasn’t quite able to achieve the look I was going for…which was exactly this effect! Time to revisit that project!
Awesome :)
I just wanna say you are GOAT in photoshop. brilliant talent
Bro after clicking on hardmix on 1:52 which button did he click to open the hardmix color picker?
You're literally insane. I'm in awe of how much control you have over this software.
Hope you got more of this kind of stuff. And maybe a super detail on how to make a t-shirt mockup, everything you are doing seems the science of PTS, thanks.
Cool noted, ya straightforward mockup video definitely hovers on my list
Wow. Nailed the look. Cool tip for selecting everything at the end - haven't seen that before.
Watching Michelangelo create David or Leonardo Davinci paint the Mona Lisa must have been just as satisfying as watching your masterly tutorials. Thank you for so generously sharing your skills and valuable insights.
This is why you're the absolute GOAT. Appreciate your tutorials brother.
The only complaint I ever have about this channel is they don’t update everyday 😂. It’s like Christmas morning when I see a new TextureLabs tutorial pop up on my feed. Have you ever considered selling a Master Class? I think I’d be first in line.❤
Honestly I burned trought many paid courses, and some of them have they uses, but if you wanna really learn abaut the tricks of the programs, your best bet is guys like you. The most intresting things I learn abaut this program is on youtube for free. And thats insane. Thank you for being so awasome!
To those wondering about minute 8:41, doing the following worked for me:
1. Right click on the image layer > New smart object via copy
2. Put in underneath > double click the thumbnail of that layer to open psb
3. Go to layer style and apply a white color overlay > close it and save file
4. Open the layer style like in the video and apply drop shadow
5. Right click > rasterize layer style
6. Go to Filter > noise, then Filter > Gaussian Blur
Done! Hope this helps.
A true designer's designer. Great stuff TextureLabs!!
This page is the holy grail of textures I swear
I was in the t-shirt art biz for 13 years. You are dropping serious knowledge here 😎😎
Excuse me sir can I ask you
Is merch with musicians and actors allowed to sell on marketplaces?
Thank you so much, this is gold.
this channel is absolutely like a "holy grail" of PS Effects Tutorial... *even sometimes AE too... :D
PS: I hope you keep doing what you're doing. :)
ONE OF THE MOST HELPFUL VIDEOS IVE SEEN THIS YEAR, THANK YOU KING!
Simply amazing. I had no idea Photoshop was capable of things like this.
Eff yeah!!! You have soooo cool tutorials over all. So glad to have found your channel. Rock on dude 😎
The real skill is not in the software, but envisioning an end result and working this puzzle on how to get there. Great video.
Awesome. I'd love a video on color separating this for screen printing.
Loving all these little cool methods randomly hidden in your videos
Keep it up 💞
Cool, I try so hard to keep em short but all the little random stuff is the fun part!
Your way of using grunge textures is the best way Ive seen.
Can someone explain what he does at 8:43? He drags and drops the Randy layer and it creates a different kind of layer that automatically names itself "Randy Glow" and is set up for making the glow effect background? How do you do this?
i need this too, i can't figure out how the mask seems to invert itself after her does a simple drop shadow
lmk if u figure it out
the layer thumbnail for "Randy Glow" at 8:47 shows a black background, white subject, and a light grey glow. if you re-create that formula yourself, then add grain + blur, it should work. i assume this part was cut from the video in the edit, but that small detail is definitely missing. i hope this helps!
The OG Depthones from Doron lol. Seriously tho been watching for a while and changed my design game forever. Always appreciate the knowledge.
Sir. Thank you for being such a Gee and showing us the way in PS. Please make more videos like this that apply to clothing and apparel. This is a gem. Thank you!
Jesus christ, can't believe this tutorial is FREE!! Thanks man!
dude you are a photoshop god! there's still so much to learn!
This is soooooooo good 🤤Thank you Brady, totally crushed it!
Thank you, thank you. This tutorial is pure genius. I have almost 30 years in Photoshop experience and felt like I didn't know a thing! 😃
Master of the craft! TY! over 10yrs and still learning.
The Select color range part just blew my mind, holy crap
Awesome and wonderful tutorial.
I'm a fan of Randy.
Congratulations.
Wow. Never stop learning with this app. Amazing tutorial.
I called you the "GODMODE" of photoshop man... Great Tuts as always 👏👏🤘
When I duplicate the layer, add drop shadow, and then noise. It's not giving that effect. Doesn't seem to do anything for me. Any help would be appreciated
I would wear that shirt all the time, f’ing amazing man
Great video, thank you :--) Could someone light me about [8:43] please ? I don't really get it
same
Wow. Amazing as usual. Thanks Brady!
God Bless Texture Labs and God Bless Randy Rhoads! Time to crank up the Ozzy and learn some PS tshirt work!
these videos have been so so helpful in learning the image manipulation side of photoshop- it’s not something i’ve dabbled in before with previous programs and it’s been a huge game changer . as a proposed video suggestion (i suppose) i’d love to see how you’d do a tattoo effect . it’s usually quite subtle but hard to nail realistically i think
Hi Brady, awesome video!
I was wondering how you made the "Randy Glow" layer at 8:44. Using only drop shadow didn't seem to work for me, and it looked like there were maybe other previous steps for that effect that were trimmed out of the video for time's sake. Thanks!
Yeah, that one confused me, too. The bit at the end with the knockout also confused me. Too fast.
Yeah, I have the same problem. In his screen the image turnes white but mine doesn't
@@twalling He has a whole video on that technique ua-cam.com/video/R0YLdHpZPUg/v-deo.html hth :)
@@Sixfifteen81 thanks I'll check it out
And that was tremendously helpful, thanks for the pointer.
I liked the video during the opening ad roll because obviously
This is the best t-shirt tutorial I've seen. Love it!
every time you surprise me with a better tutorial. fantastic work man
Impeccable timing on this, it's exactly what I need for a design I'm working on this week! Amazing work, you're so good at being easy to follow!
These are always so awesome, thank you soo much! I know these tend to lean more in the digital realm, but I'd love to see how you would set up the separations for actual screen printing 🙏
Simply awesome! Big congrats Brady! To me, the best Photoshop Channel on UA-cam nowadays! On the other hand also the After Effects lessons got from you here are the same, very interesting and I really thank you for all your shares!❤
Thanks, Brady, another great lesson.
Amazing tutorial. I can't believe this content is free
It would be great if you made a video on how to prepare the file for screen printing, or how do I send this to the screen printing company so they get the colors right. But greati video anyway! Love the Channel and always learn new stuff with your videos!
Absolutely loved the video!! Just wish you slowed down at the end lol Kinda blew through some stuff that it would've been nice to cover a bit more ;) Still loved it though man and thanks so much for making the vid
thank you for education people, this was next step for me,🙏🙏🙏
Banger timely tutorials, as always!
as always a pleasure to learn from you ☺♥
incredible tutorial. simply, clear, and your design is clean af. nice work!
Bro, this is insanely good work! I beg you make this into an actual t-shirt. I need to buy one.
AWE-SOME. Your tricks are the best
Amazing video! Thank you so much, I can suggest that instead of desaturating the image, you can use a Fill layer with Black/Grey/White and set the blending mode to Hue or Color, this way the Values of the colors are more truthful to the source, try it out!
Oh nice, I hear ya, HueSat can be super flat for skin tones. Interesting that HueSat, BW, Channel Mixer Monochrome, and the Color Blend Mode you mentioned all have different default weights for the RGB channels!
@@Texturelabs yes exactly! I'd love to know if there's an explanation for it, btw your Plugins saved me already hours of work, thank you so much for that ♥️
just amazing! thanks for sharing these with us.
Thanks for this. It will be needed soon, because we have to make a shirt print for the band.
One of the things I've been doing lately with my shirt mockups is to drop the design into a smart layer and you can use the liquify tool to push the pixels around to match the folds and wrinkles in the t-shirt. It's non-destructive at that point too so you can continue to tweak the liquify (I'll also use warp and the puppet tool if I'm bending it into place on a model) but it's really nice being able to drop a new graphic in and have it map to everything i've already done.
You’ve literally helped me so much in stepping up my photoshop game! Seriously, thank you!!
I really love your channel, I always come back to review your tutorials because I love them!
Nice Presentation ! Quick and Concise.
Pretty amazed by the effect. Looks really retro indeed
already know it's gonna be a banger video
I have been using photoshop since 2000...you sir are a true wizard. It never ceases to amaze me, after all this time I still learn something new. I absolutely love the techniques the way you mix new with old school...beautiful!
This is amazing, thanks a lot!!
Bro after clicking on hardmix on 1:52 which button did he click to open the hardmix color picker?
@@karkon479 I couldn't figure that out either :D and apparently nobody here could
@@terczerber5474 okay bro
Sharing all the tricks… Nice work!
We need more Brady! Another mind oppening video! 🤘
i would love to see a tutorial for the glow effect you did 👏

That's badass! Thank you for the video!
That's big king idea! Thanks
WOW JUST WOW!!! Great work

INCREDIBLE! Thank you.
Absolute game changer, i learn much from you brodie, ❤
brilliant way to do that art style😊❤
Thank you for textures ! 💖
YEEEEES KİNG İS BACK!!!
legit solid video right here!
man i’ve never seen this basic, common sense skills anywhere before 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Brady your videos are always so in depth and really amazing. I'm wondering though, what did you actually do when you made the "Randy Glow" layer? I see obv that you added the drop shadow, but then it looks like you rasterized it before adding the noise/blur. Thanks for all your awesome content
i was thinking the same thing
I have no clue what happened can't recreate it@@Lawdhavemercyyy
Brady Rocks! 🤘
Woa you're truly talented thank you
Always amazing. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is insane.
Love this. You rushed through the steps for the grainy glow, and I can't seem to get it right. When I rasterize the layer style it removes the grainyness
super fun and great work flow tips - thanks !
Crazy quality.
Not just texting,
Please mix up a lot of pictures, too!
Gorgeous!
This is so sick!
Dammnnnnn! Man this is the best tut ever. Like exactly what i needed.
Another great vid. Always outdoing yourself!
