i have always loved these engines. i always knew of the newer lt1 to make good power and torque and always want to build one. i did better. vortec 5.7l a 350 roller motor. uses regular sbc parts. 3000 lb or less vehicle rwd very stick tires strong suspension and a very healthy motor with minor mods. makes a great daily good fuel economy and very quick. under 4.5 sec 0-60 time. very reliable.
I have owned the car since it has 24000 miles on it 8 years ago. It's what came with it. Registration says it's a ltz. It was owned by an old couple that took it to church only until I bought it.
I also had a 91 LTZ and it had the same 1970s instrument panel. We're you thinking of the 9C1 police package? It make sense it would have a tachometer and voltage gage. And a sticker telling you not the not-to-exceed speed in Drive.
I was coming home from a road trip. The car was already running for 40 minutes. It was a very cold wisconsin day. It was as warm as the engine would have got that day.

For being 5000 pounds 0-60 in 9.9 seconds is fast asf. Love my 91 caprice

has the dash been replaced? actual ltz caprices from 1991-1993 came with volts meters and tachometers.

really? 1993-1995 with digital speedometer and volt meter. As I know only 1996 had tachometer.

Tank was low. All of the gas moved towards the back when I launched. The real reading was red from the beginning. Lol

@@0wenage your thermostat may be stuck open. It should be at around 195F for those cars.
