I live in Mars Hill... The catastrophic damage far exceeds Asheville. Yancey Co., Spruce Pine, Barnardsville, Marshall, Hot Springs.... the list goes on & on. It's so devastating, beyond belief, no words😢❤

Our road is GONE as well. No SUPPLIES are coming in. 200 missing from community. So sad. I'm from Yancey too.

We lived in Micahville for 2 years, my daughter was born in Spruce Pine. All the news covers is Asheville/Biltmore Village. Constantly checking on Burnsville and Spruce Pine and get practically nothing. This is the first I've seen. We're sending love and prayers and what little money we can spare from Ohio. God bless y'all!

Long time trucker here,i used to go to North Cove Baxter HC and Spruce Pine Feldspar and love the area.My heart breaks for these good people.

No supplies coming in. Exactly. Americans need to depend on each other now guys. We have NO help. Help one another. Don't be divided. We need each other.
Supplies are coming in. Slowly but surely. Life saving medicine first. I'm seeing dual axle dump trucks with dual drop axles coming in up 80. Seen coast guard, national guard, military trucks, ambulances from Burnsville.
Semis are making it effort to stick what they can. I don't mean to give false hope, it's still rough out here. Lots of roads not able to be got to yet. These folks are hard at work to save lives.

Went to middle school and high school in Burnsville lived in Busic, my sister still lives in Busic and lives in the family home she was born in, formerly The Hampton Inn, just past the Baptist church. Praying for all In Yancey and areas effected by the storm. Tried for years to get my wife to move back as I consider Yancey County to be the most beautiful place on earth and I'd move back in a heartbeat, spent all my free time wandering the mountains and valleys alone and absolutely loved every minute of it. 🤘😎🤘

Americans it’s not safe to live normal anymore, you gotta prep, get healthy, go plant based. You can stock pile so much food and supplies with the money you save that way. Try to get off medications, take back your health and lives. Get water purifiers, survival supplies, surround your house with native succulents to fend off fire, get a flotation device like a John boat on your property, get sat phones, God bless you all🙏💕

I'm hoping they choose pride since it brings such blessings to your community. Of all the things you can say as someone who believes in God, where is love and mercy? These are HIS children too. Everyone will face judgement, just cause it ain't reached you yet doesn't mean any of us are in the clear....
