- Lifting a Helicopter at the Airport with a Rotator! I've never posted one of these jobs, but we get these every now and then. Often a customer will want us to transport it from point A to point B, and it's quite simple and routine. I decided to say why not record this one and show you guys how it's done.
Definitely not some tough crazy job like 95% of the stuff on my channel, but I found it cool nonetheless. A big part of our workload is lifting and transporting equipment, so why not showcase more of that side. This particular unit was a straight lift and book type, mainly because of the small size and easy lift point at the top.
I attached to the lifting eye using my Bailey's sling, and because of the almost 50/50 weight ration, the helicopter lifted straight up with ease. Once in the air, Eddie pulled forward in the Landoll and I set the unit on the ground. That's it, nothing crazy!

►All footage was shot with my DJI Action 4, Alex's GoPro 11 and our DJI Mavic 3 drones. I also edit my own footage using DaVinci Resolve Studio.

A nice easy treat for Hulk! He didn't even break sweat! 😅👍
Didn't even flex. 😄
I would love to do a ride along with Josh see the towing portion of trucking. Was riding shotgun with my late husband for 6 years and I miss being in a semi till this day. Hulk is a beautiful rig
My brother, good luck, you have a precious load
Josh it’s about time you get a simple job! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Always nice to see an easy job! I wondered why it wasn't flown so checked the FAA site-last airworthiness certificate was in 2010! That is why you got the job lol.
That’s going to be a tough road to get it back in the air. Hopefully the books still exist!
Airworthiness certificate isn't an annual thing, usually it is only updated on change of ownership. The annual inspection is recorded in the the aircraft logbooks. This helicopter last flew in 2021 according to the the flight trackers, so still a bit of maintenance to get it flying again.
Easy Money Josh!!!
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota
Another great video. I found your channel after watching Ron Pratt for years. I worked in the towing business for about 6 years, only light duty, but I liked it. Not sure if you ever answered comments, but we always said, be safe. I was born in California, back in 1964. Castro Valley, Alameda County from what my mom told me. My dad was in the Army at that time. Peace ✌️
Hey Josh and guys... cool video... Quick and easy...! That sure was different...!
It was a great video, but I have a simple comment, not to be rude. But I'm 59, and my mom is 84. I had to let her know about the... thing. I said mom, you only need 1 period at the end of a sentence, or statement. So, a ... doesn't matter. She finally stopped. Just wanted to share a simple note.
Compared to what Hulk normally lifts, this thing is a paper clip LOL
Yep. Hulk was like that was nothing 😂
Ya but that's a cool paper clip haha
Most Definitely Brother
Cool short little video of something different! There is something picturesque about the clear blue sky and an airport with palm trees waving in the wind.
Nice job guys
Mr Josh It may have been lite weight but I bet the helicopter cost a pretty penny. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
according to what i found it cost about 1.8 mil.
That was a quick easy one and they rigged it for you!
Right on! I did the same thing for Huntington park PD when I worked there but mine was a Long Ranger, good job Josh stay cool.
Beautiful helicopter! Nice and easy. Great job as always ❤.
Another awesome performance 🤓🙋♂️👍
Numero uno making it look easy! 😎😎
That's a lot of cash on the hook there. Nice and smooth.
All that running around for four minutes!
At first I thought you might have acquired a helicopter for car fishing.
Bat-a-Bing, Bat-a-Boom! 🙂
Hulk didn't even break a sweat on this lift.
Now all the space you need.
Cherish the memory of this nice, easy, short job the next time you're trudging 400' down a steep canyon to go car fishing.
You guys are going to get spoiled😅😅 Thanks Josh!!
What does "In The Basket" mean referring to weight capacity ????
When both ends are attached to the hook.
aww you taught it to fly
Quick and easy video does NOT mean bad video!! That was pretty cool!!!!
Talk about perfect conditions, sunny day, no traffic or power lines to deal with and pavement as far as the eye can see.
Now that's what you call PAAAA PIIIII TASSSSSSSS Quick and Easy say hello to papi chulo JOE ❤
good job..
Helicopters are very easy to lift compared to an airplane. You just have that single lift point. Unlike a small airplane that requires straps under the wings and fuselage and more complicated rigging.
Interesting helicopter, it's been used in several film/tv productions
Such an easy call. Much be so much less expensive to use your services rather than get a crane.
NICE!!
😮 nice
looks like whitemen airport looked like an easy lift for hulk great job josh
Nice to get an easy job every once in a while.
Another great job Josh you have come a long way i remember quite a few years back you wrecking your evo and your dads hummer lol
A few years? The evo was literally high school in 07. That’s 15 years buddy. But ummm thanks ? Hope the family is doing well I guess
We are good thanks glad to see you guys are doing well, time has passed, my son is a senior in high-school and on the varsity football team
Might have been easy, but sure looked fun!
That helicopter would look good with a Pepe,s Towing decal on the side.
That's a 1990 +- Eurocopter AS350, some say Airbus Helicopters H125. So why was it hauled rather than fly it from one airport to the other.
Why didn't they fly it? mechanical issues?
You never said it was airborne.... Most obvious play on words. Good for us something different.
Made easy. Sure helps when objects to be lifted have lift points/attachment points.
Wat!!!!! No bonus cameras.???????
Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads.
Ya
Hard job, take the rest of the day off.
You forgot to tell us that is your helicopter.
Why did they need the helicopter transported?
loads of reasons, some being it might need repair to the engine or could be as simple as it was cheaper to tow then fly.
I NEVER KNOW PULL UP FROM ROTOR!
Interesting…. Why not put the blades on and fly it off?
could be in need of repair or could be as simple as it was cheaper to tow it then fly it.
Don't sell yourself short. It was an easy lift for you, but they hired a professional to make sure nothing went wrong moving that expen$ive machine. Nice work!
1:41 Hey lowboy/landall is that your light cord and air lines laying on your cat walk? that aint how ya do it twuk driber!!!! you should know better :))
Who owned the helicopter?
FLEET UNLIMITED INC according to what i can find.
This makes no sense. I thought Pepe's was a big-time operation. Why don't you have a Tow Helicopter to lift Helicopters?
