  • Lifting a Helicopter at the Airport with a Rotator! I've never posted one of these jobs, but we get these every now and then. Often a customer will want us to transport it from point A to point B, and it's quite simple and routine. I decided to say why not record this one and show you guys how it's done.
Definitely not some tough crazy job like 95% of the stuff on my channel, but I found it cool nonetheless. A big part of our workload is lifting and transporting equipment, so why not showcase more of that side. This particular unit was a straight lift and book type, mainly because of the small size and easy lift point at the top.
I attached to the lifting eye using my Bailey's sling, and because of the almost 50/50 weight ration, the helicopter lifted straight up with ease. Once in the air, Eddie pulled forward in the Landoll and I set the unit on the ground. That's it, nothing crazy!
Don't forget to head to www.pepestowla.com/shop after the video and grab your cool Pepe's swag to represent your favorite tow company!
►All footage was shot with my DJI Action 4, Alex's GoPro 11 and our DJI Mavic 3 drones. I also edit my own footage using DaVinci Resolve Studio.

Always nice to see an easy job! I wondered why it wasn't flown so checked the FAA site-last airworthiness certificate was in 2010! That is why you got the job lol.

That’s going to be a tough road to get it back in the air. Hopefully the books still exist!

Airworthiness certificate isn't an annual thing, usually it is only updated on change of ownership. The annual inspection is recorded in the the aircraft logbooks. This helicopter last flew in 2021 according to the the flight trackers, so still a bit of maintenance to get it flying again.

Another great video. I found your channel after watching Ron Pratt for years. I worked in the towing business for about 6 years, only light duty, but I liked it. Not sure if you ever answered comments, but we always said, be safe. I was born in California, back in 1964. Castro Valley, Alameda County from what my mom told me. My dad was in the Army at that time. Peace ✌️

It was a great video, but I have a simple comment, not to be rude. But I'm 59, and my mom is 84. I had to let her know about the... thing. I said mom, you only need 1 period at the end of a sentence, or statement. So, a ... doesn't matter. She finally stopped. Just wanted to share a simple note.

Helicopters are very easy to lift compared to an airplane. You just have that single lift point. Unlike a small airplane that requires straps under the wings and fuselage and more complicated rigging.

That's a 1990 +- Eurocopter AS350, some say Airbus Helicopters H125. So why was it hauled rather than fly it from one airport to the other.
