Paul Finebaum is wrong about one thing….his “win 8, but can you win 9” statement is way off base. We want an SECC and a National Championship just like everyone else does. We’re no different than Alabama fans in our expectations. Realty is that the Razorbacks may not be in the top 10 every year, but top 20 for sure and THAT is our expectations. Not just 8 wins, but being relevant in the conversation even as a dark horse. Paul was right about everything else.
And these expectations are exactly what is wrong with the Arkansas fanbase, which is one of the most delusional in the country specifically as it pertains to football. I have lived in Arkansas my whole life. I've seen Danny, Houston, Bobby, John, Bert, Chad and Sam eras. AT BEST we are a ten win team once every six to seven years. The cold, hard truth is that Arkansas is not and never will be an elite football program in the SEC. 6-8 wins should be expected every year and nothing beyond that. Allow me to present you with some context -- Since the beginning of the 2012 season, Arkansas has posted an overall record of 58-85 (41%) with a conference mark of 23-72 (24%). On what planet do those numbers equate to being a top-20 program 😂😂 Start watching the basketball team - That's where my energy goes. Musselman is running a legitimate top 15 basketball program year in and out. He can be counted on for sustained success. The football program will be stuck like chuck in mediocrity in perpetuity.

This video reminds me of how truly valuable 'Hail State' is to the SEC. How would the athletic directors in the country's most elite conference know when to terminate a contract without 'Hail State' in the mix. Never a great team like Ala, LSU or Georgia and seldomly a very bad team like Vandy. They are just good enough to win a game like the Ark game this week and just bad enough to telegraph the data needed to change the conference for the better. The SEC would be lost without the 'Hail State' compass. We are like the wolve packs in Yellowstone keeping the ecosystem healthy.

He made some really bad hires that have come back to cook him. Lost his O Line coach Brad Davis to LSU in 2021 Replaced him with Cody Kennedy. Kendal Briles was causing problems but apparently he understood how to use the talent and speed they had. Dan Enos was a phoned in hire and with no O Line this offense was doomed. The defense is excellent and has kept them in games

The worse coach in the SEC has to be the Miss Stste head coach. He had a record breaking quarterback and an offense they had fine tuned under Leech and he changes it and now they suck big time.
Sam is on record as saying that this job is it. When he’s done at Arkansas he done for good. He’ll retire and enjoy life at his home on Lake Hamilton near Hot Springs.

I'm okay with giving Coach Pittman one more year. The defense is much better. The thing that frustrates me, is last year, we ran at will, KJ doing much if it on 25+ yards at a time, and this year were pathetic. The only thing i blame Coach Pittman for, him being a former OC, he should of corrected this at the start of the season instead of waiting til the season was hopeless.

They have the fan base, the money, and the facilities. They just have to get another Coach that knows how to do more with less. And, by the way, if you go look at the records of both Mississippi Schools, Tennessee, Florida, and a few others, Arkansas has competed the same as those schools over the past couple of decades.
