#India #REACTION #ghazal
Dude you chose a Gazal which even I have also not heard though I am an Indain and a gazal lover . Pankaj Udhas Famous gazals are -"Chitthi Aayi hai ", "Ghungroo toot gaye", " Thodi Thodi Piya Kro"
I Assure 80% of Indians have never heard this Ghazal...Chitti Aayi Hai would have been a perfect introduction to Pankaj Udhas
Glad I am in the 20% 😂🙌😁🤭.
Yup I am from those 80% I have heard it today though I heard a lot and lots of ghazals from various artists and I think this Ghazal is much better for me comapre to Chitthi aayi hai.
Though I use to hear many such type of lokgeets in my child hood from local village people one I still remember in which they used to sing "Sab kuch daanva dol milega aane wali peedhe ko" which was about steeply degrading of our society and that time I could understand almost all of it but used to believe that barely 40% to 50% of it is going to be true and used to think these singers are going a bit far but today I realise evrything they used to sing and much more have become a true reality and seriously society is going to graves and the worst part we do not even realise it in fact we are very proud of our so called developement and achievemtn while at the same time most of us are not happy with what we have. Few old people in my chilhood uses to say "Aane wala samay bahut tez badlega" at that time I can not comprehemd the depth of their words but now I can. People who are old enough will understand what sort of life we have lived till 1995 or max to max you can say till 2005 people have less things but they were happy and real, whether they fight or they love they did it purely. After 2000 or more prciously 2005 there is such a sharp deciine in Humanity which is very very hard to digest. Change in last 25 to 30 years feel like change in 200 to 300 years. Some time feel really bad for the children of today what sort of utter immoral time they are going to see. God bless them.
80 is too high. Maybe 50. It's a decently well known song.
40% Indians don't even understand Hindi you're estimate is only fine for older generation or mid generation of North India @@shashishekharsingh4652
A small collection out of my favourites. Hear them out. Also, unfortunately Jagjit Singh has passed away and that was a great loss for all Indians and ghazal lovers.

Efra's analysis without knowing the language (about tradition and education)... epitomize the fact music is beyond boundaries n needs no language.
Next time checkout jagjit Singh live performances too
Aur yeh kya hai bhai
@@abhinandanpanigrahi5558 ye pankaj udhas live hai bhai :)
Try reading the lyrics and listening to “woh kagaz ki kashti “ by Jagjit Singh.
One of the best gazals - Hoshwalon ko khabar kya ! 🙌✨❤️. You haven't heard this yet.
Vibing with Gazals even without knowing the language indicates that you are a sensitive individual well in touch with your emotions Efra. The lyrics are always the core essence of gazals.
Please react to “Aur Ahista kihiye baatien ” and “chandi jaisa rang hai tera “ by Pankaj uddas……. It’s not a gazal but had gazal feel to it …….. also it’s one of his famous songs during 90’s …which people make cover off, even now. ❤❤
Omg, you have discovered a real gem by Pankaj Udhas, also- fyi- the flute player is another legend- Rakesh Churasiya. ❤ And if I am not wrong, they are all performing in front of the gateway of India or Delhi Gate!
I can’t believe you guys haven’t reacted to more of recent malayalam stuff from india. Malayalam is taking india’s rap music to the international levelll…like seriously literally everyone else is reacting to them….CHECK OUT songs like BALLATHA JATHI, MALABARI BANGER, WHAT ECONOMY-S.A, KAAYI-BABY JEAN ,songs from AAVESHAM etc….ASAP!!!!!!!!…YOU GUYS ARE MISSING OUT ON A LOOOOOOT!
One of my favorite ghazals :) thank you for reacting to it. Greetings from Fiji ❤
Pleaseeeee give hoshwalo ko khabar kya a listen....u will love ittttt❤❤❤❤....love u waleska......just always stunned by your deep understandings of songs and music in general....
Try reading the lyrics and listening to “woh kagaz ki kashti “ by Jagjit Singh.
try Jagjit Singh's ghazal from Amir Khan movie "Sarfarosh" called "Hoshwalon ko Khabar Kya"
Its a crime to start listening to Pankas Udhas and not start with "CHITHI AAYI HAI"....whoever suggested you this first should be fired immediately.
Pankaj Udhas passed away few months ago. Jagjit Singh passed away few years ago.
This is one of his songs I had not heard before. I felt that he actually did not sing it very well but like most of his ghazals, the lyrics were powerful. Love the story this song tells and I love your channel. Thanks for posting
Pankaj udhas, Jagjit singh and chitra makes me so nostalgic. Some of the best music in the late 90s and 2000s
Efra, next Friday Podcast should most definitely be a Ghazal night, with Jagjit Singh, Talat Aziz, Pankaj Udhas, Papon and other hidden ghazal gems. Please make it happen !! I'm sure people would give great recommendations!❤
I adore pankaj. Grew up listening to him. So many memories attached. He is a gem. React to his album. Rubaiyat. Not many ppl knw about it. It is magical
You guys never cease to amaze me; for a genre so heavily reliant on lyrics, you felt the emotions, even though you have the disadvantage of not knowing the language.
Of course, knowing the language would have increased your joy many times because the translated lyrics don't do justice, even though they aren't bad at all.
By the way, Jagjit Singh is long gone; if you want to do a Ghazal special, you should do one that includes both Indian and Pakistani artists, as Pakistan has produced some absolute legends in Ghazal.
That flue player is famous flute player Rahul Chaurasiya. His father Hariprasad Chaurasiya was even famous
my grandparents introduced me to the ghazals and it brings calmness in me ......i listen to these when I want to feel relaxed and miss them...
Ghazals sung by Ghulam Ali Saab 👌👌👌
This totally relaxed my mood, thank you 🤍
Try Tum Bin for a classic film reaction. Has great music and a Jagjit Singh song that you will both love.
You both have good musical taste❤❤❤❤. Ghazal singers in India are amazing, loved by anyone who loves music ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Unfortunately Jagjith Singh passed away in a bodily sense 13 years back, musically though he will live on forever in the hearts and minds of ghazal lovers. I had recommended to check a few Ghazals sometime back (i guess more than a year ago but thought maybe you are not ready) and i am really glad to hear that you are enjoying it even when you dont understand the language well...For me, the first name in Ghazals is always Medihasan Saheb although i have listened to far more Jagjith singh songs and have been to his live concerts multiple times...but after that, its certainly Jagjith Singh but i do love Farida Khannum ji, Ghulam Ali saheb and many others...Of the young upcoming Ghazal singers, you should checkout Pratibha Singh Begal and Prithvi Gandharva, both excellent live performers but ultimately Richa Sharma acts as a mentor to a lot of these amazing talents coming through.
If you do a Ghazal special podcast, thaf would be wonderful and you can actually cover some of these really amazing singers although a podcast on each of them is certainly merited...
Begum Akhtar, ghulam ali, jagjit Singh, Mehdi hassan, hariharan are just some names in ghazal that you’ll should check out. Oh and the Hussain brothers too!
watch songs with subtitles
Oh my god oh my god oh my god ghazals🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽 Mehdi Hassan’s Ranjish hi sahi is THE GHAZAL. and then my personal favourite GHULAM ALI. oh dear god these are gems. Literal gems.

Most famous Ghazal of Pankaj Udhas .....Chitti Aayi Hai should you listen. You will suerly love it.
If you want to enjoy Gazal you must understand the lyric....why do you think people are so silent and seriusly watching him ? because he is talking about human life and the ups and down they face in life....in a way truth of human life.
This Ghazal is reality ❤️🥹
Also check his brother Manahar Udhas, the velvet voice

Guys, a poor choice to showcase Pankaj Udhas. Obscure ghazal. But no worries, no doubt folks who like his singing will send you links. I did not like his style.
Btw, here’s some more on gamakas that you reviewed a couple of years ago. It’s fantastic:
