Looks awesome. Would be perfect for summer at the beach!
Finding a tj seat will be so much easier and cheaper than buying a kit ,dope upgrade brotha
this is great, a little tip for next time, you sprayed the hole that you drilled with paint, but didn't spray the bottom holes. what you can do is put a straw into the drilled hole and spray into the straw, this will coat the inside of the frame where the metal is exposed. I would do this from the top, and after it dries, repeat this from the bottom, to ensure that the metal is completely covered.
Great idea to get more seats! Nice job.
Cool Dex! interesting mod!
Awesome video!
Pretty sweet setup
Cool idea 👍🏻
Seat is neat, but you need to install a keeper so the seat doesnt fold forward in an accident. Speaking of which, that seatbelt is a great way to get cut in half in a high speed accident. When you make the bracket to hold down the back of the seat, include a bolt hole for the belt. Oh, and for the love of god, mount the seat with grade 8 hardware. Those grade 2s you put in are brittle enough to brake from folding the seat to hard and will not hold the seat in place in an accident.
This is great!! Thanks. I’d improve on the safety belt approach.
Yes, I agree with a lot of these comments. Ur videos are great. And they help a lot. I try to watch whenever I can. Ok now, help me out. I'm still looking for those hood sckulls for my 2010 jk.
They are none that say adventure dex.
Do you have any sitting around???.
okay. that rear seat was made to fold forward and lift up in the back to give more room in the jeep tj's cargo area. But the back of the seat was attached to the floor of the jeep. How do you ensure that the seat will not lift up and go forward if you brake hard?
Good question.......anyone know the answer to this? Is there another bracket missing that goes to the back that releases to be able to fold it forward?
I think some steps are missing in the tutorial.
Great for touring
Awesome
Wow cool.idea
Love these videos! However I feel as if this video was kind of a hack job. No real time spent to do things right, just what was easiest. Some kid is going to watch this and get themself hurt by cutting corners and thinking it’s okay. You could have used the other connected point for the seatbelt in a hole directly underneath the bench or to one of the brackets underneath to actually have some sort of stableness. Right above your appendix isn’t only just uncomfortable, but could kill someone in an accident if not serious injure.
Hii!! Greetings from Spain =) I jsut discovered your channel and I love it. My dream car is having a jeep wrangler. I love the adventures and this car surely works for that haha. I´m in love with your car, could you tell me please how much would it cost ? With all the mods you made to the car I mean. Just to have an idea of how much I have to save money for this baby hahaha. Thank you!
Was wondering where you went Dex
Is there enough headroom for an adult if you had the roof on? Im looking at doing this
I hope that’s structurally sound. Definitely cool tho.
Will that work with one of those 45 degree soft tops on there if it’s all closed??
Sick
Where can I buy the 3rd row seat? I’ve been looking everywhere on line but can’t find one now or used 😢
Did you show it folding and tumbling forward? Is there a latch that holds in open while being used? PS. Loved the video :)
Hey man! I need your help. A French fry dropped in the rear vent on the console. How would you get it out?
Could you link the seat belt please
Curious if you could mount them backwards... so the passengers are looking out the back??
Definitely, lots of people have do it and that’s probably the route I’m going to take for mine. I just got a 2 door JK seat and it fits perfect, just have to get the brackets and good thing about those are I can put the seat forward or backwards
1st off I just wanna let you know I really enjoy your videos. With that said I'm also just looking out for you. You really should delete this video and repost it without the part where you added the seatbelt. Vehicles made after 1965 must have shoulder harnesses. They have to have a 3 point seatbelt. By you adding a lap belt that puts you in a very bad position legally.. Not to mention you just made a video doing it. Love the 3rd road though but I'm just looking out for you.
Definitely a valid comment. However, this can be used in an off-road/private land setting. Seat belts are only required by law on public roadways and highways. You can technically drive even in a parking lot without a belt. But of course, always check local laws and bylaws before attempting to go belt less in these areas. Great video!
I appreciate your concern and support! This meets my local laws. Definitely god advice to always check the local laws! 👌🏼
@@adventuredex you the man!
Not sure about your local laws, but the position where that seat belt lays across your body is very dangerous.
Pretty sure he's in the Bahamas. That seat belt law probably doesn't apply.
Neat but have to extend that roll cage
I looked into doing this in my hard rock but there is no head protection in a rollover so I decided against it.
Rock hard 4x4 makes a roll bar that would extend back to give head protection for a front facing seat for those that chose to do this mod
Make sure you extend the roll cage! You didn’t mention that!
2:30 "You wanna make sure everything is clear underneath before you drill" - Can you fill us in as to what might be in the way, to watch for?
Gas tank, electrical lines, frame
Then he finds out that there is another panel? Lol so did he just look and say nope nothing there put a hole in it lol
You’re assuming I know that many people
Bad idea.
Worst 3rd row install I've seen.
How come?
